It was a bloodbath...
The Valley had turned into a barren land, with smoke and debris everywhere, and the two Airships, which had blocked Aizen and Sabrina's path earlier, were burning on the ground, their flames trying to reach for the sky.
Team Doom had come prepared. They really had done all they could, but they had never expected to fall into such a trap.
Cynthia and Glacia were supposed to be present at the Indigo Plateau, making sure that the Silver Conference was not disturbed, and they had to keep Samuel Oak safe as well.
However, the two of them were here, in the Rota Kingdom, waiting for them, setting up the valley for the battle and covering it in a thick chilly fog.
The enemies had already lost hope when they cleared the fog and saw the lineup of Pokémon that waited for them, but they could not even run away as the Dragons attacked without giving them a chance to consider retreating.
Dozens of Shadow Pokémon lost their lives, and a total of eleven people, including two rouge Aura Users lost their lives.
Additionally, tens of Pokémon, belonging to the criminals had either been killed or lay injured and unconscious on the ground.
Aizen, Cynthia, and Sabrina took their time as they collected the Pokéballs of the enemies, and Glacia was trying to reach Krane at the Cameran Palace.
"Cyn! I can't reach them." The lady loudly called out to the Sinnoh Champion, whose brows furrowed.
Aizen too frowned, but his sixth sense was not alarmed.
"They..."
[Mewtwo has brought an army of Wild Pokémon to attack the Palace. Send the two of them to help the rest, and I will lure my little brother here.]
Suddenly, he heard an unfamiliar voice in his head. A sweet and unfamiliar voice.
It did not belong to Lyla.
And it was coming from the Promise Ball on his neck.
Knowing what was going on at the Palace, he did not waste any time.
"Cyn, Glacia, the two of you need to help the Team out at the Palace. Take your Pokémon with you. They are having a difficult time."
"This..."
"We will deal with the things here. Go."
"Are you sure, Aizen?" Glacia worriedly asked as she looked at dozens of injured Pokémon, and then at Arlo and Bonna, the only two survivors, who were bound and asleep under the watchful eyes of the Prince's Mega Metagross.
"Yes, go."
"Latias and Latios?"
"Take them with you. You will need their powers."
"Fine."
The two listened to his words and recalled their Pokémon as they rushed to the Cameran Palace.
After they left, Aizen asked Sabrina to recall her Pokémon who needed rest, and she did, only leaving out her Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gallade, and Diancie, who were helping the injured Pokémon heal and trying to clear out the Ghostly energies rampaging through their minds and bodies.
The Moonheart, who was staying close to Aizen, still disguised as Ilene, curiously looked at the Promise Ball on his neck when it started shining.
A few seconds later, an oppressive pressure descended on all of them.
The Prince, who did not seem bothered by it, narrowed his eyes at the figure in the sky but then continued finding the Pokéballs to recall the injured Pokémon.
Most of the Shadow Pokémon, who had lost their minds, were killed, but some had fainted because they could no longer continue fighting. However, a lot of the Pokémon were normal, who were seriously injured.
Minutes later, the figure in the sky, having gotten tired of watching them, landed right next to the Orayen Prince.
Aizen glanced at the beautiful boy, who had snow-white hair and violet eyes. He could almost pass his little brother.
"Hello, Mewtwo." He smiled a little, showing no hint of fear or apprehension, and it was the same for Sabrina, who continued doing her work.
Only her Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir seemed tensed, but Diancie, though curious, put her focus back on treating the injured Pokémon.
Mewtwo watched them behave as if he did not matter to them, and Aizen too got back to the work he was doing.
[Human, tell me where she is.]
"Who?" The Orayen Prince asked as he recalled an injured Machamp in its Pokéball.
[Mew.] The boy telepathically answered.
"I don't know."
[A lie.]
"What do you want from your sister?" He curiously asked, and Mewtwo's eyes glowed in a threat.
He did not like hearing that Mew was his sister.
Sensing that things were about to take a turn for worse, Aizen requested Lyla to save the living Pokémon in the Valley.
And in the blink of an eye, all the injured Pokémon disappeared inside the Promise Ball.
Mewtwo curiously looked at the Pokéball on his neck, which was shjning in beautiful lights, and just when he was about to reach for it, a little Taillow came out of it and landed on Aizen's shoulder.
It tweeted in a sweet voice, and Mewtwo lunged at it but failed to catch it.
The Taillow rushed up into the sky at a speed that stunned Sabrina, but the white-haired boy rushed up as well, chasing after it.
"He wants to hurt her." Aizen clenched his right fist when he saw Mewtwo attack Mew.
[Yes.] Lyla's voice entered his ears.
"Is he stronger than her?"
[No.]
The answer immensely relieved the Orayen Prince, but then his heart palpitated in fear when a powerful shock wave erupted in the sky, followed by an apocalyptic boom.
His eyes found the two figures in their real forms now, their bodies brimming with Aura so bright that it was blinding.
Before he could get over his shock, he saw the two rush at each other, and the scale of the battle that ensued dwarfed the one they had just had earlier in this Valley.
Under the constant shockwaves in the sky, the ground started shaking, and Aizen quickly checked up on Arlo and Bonna, making sure that they would not regain consciousness.
"Dexter, can you Teleport us to the Cameran Palace?"
"Meta..."
"Tree of Beginning?"
The Pokémon answered in negative again, making the Prince sigh.
"Rina!" He called out to the Moonheart, who understood what he wanted to say and quickly rushed over to his side.
She recalled her Mega Gardevoir and Mega Gallade and then followed him as they rushed towards the Tree of Beginning, getting away from the battle between the two Empyrean Legendary Pokémon.
Every time Mew and Mewtwo clashed, a powerful wave of Psychic Power travelled far into the distance, making Pokémon lose consciousness.
However, Dexter and Diana seemed fine as they followed Aizen and Sabrina to the Tree of Beginning.
Thousand of Pokémon who lived inside the Tree were fine too, and they were standing outside of the caves, watching the battle in the distance.
A few even came over to help the Moonheart and the Orayen Prince to put Arlo and Bonna in a safe place.
"Rina." He called out to his Fiancée. "We are breaking into their minds."
Sabrina simply nodded her head and called out her Mega Alakazam, who formed a link with Aizen's Mega Metagross.
The two of them then broke into Arlo's mind first, going through all his memories, and then they went through Bonna's memories.
They found out a lot of valuable information about Team Doom, and Aizen quickly made the list of the traitors in the Indigo Council as well as all the influential people around the world who were involved with Team Doom.
The two then sat down on the edge of the cliff in silence as they watched Mew fighting against her little Brother, who was hell-bent on killing her.
The rays of the rising sun could already be seen on the horizon, and with it, the battle was about to reach its conclusion.
Mewtwo was no match for Mew, however, it was clear that she was going easy on him and did not wish to hurt him.
Her kindness eventually backfired as just when she tried to talk to him again, Mewtwo took advantage of her and blasted her with a powerful Psycho Cut.
Their hearts nearly stopped when they saw Mew fall from the sky, but they relaxed when her body started shining and it entered one of its Primal Forms and rushed at Mewtwo again.
The beating the Empyrean Pokémon received at his sister's hands made them all wince. She fanned his face left and right, and her angry cry, which was adorably cute, somehow, tensed their hearts.
And then they heard her sobs as she asked Mewtwo to forgive her.
However, her Little Brother did not listen to a word she said.
"There can only be one Mew," Mewtwo told her. "As long as you exist, there is no meaning to my life..."
His words saddened his sister, who stayed quiet, and Aizen was alarmed when she dropped her final form.
It was almost as if she had made up her mind to sacrifice herself, and to his horrors, Mewtwo constructed a Sword in his hand as he rushed at her.
And at that moment, a crimson star brightened in the sky and the Psycho Blade stopped inches away from Mew's body.
Mewtwo seemed unable to move, and then a figure appeared by his side.
It was a lady with beautiful crimson hair and a red dress, and she pulled Mew in her arms and consoled her.
Her eyes then landed on Mewtwo, who was unable to move in the air.
"You do not deserve her kindness." Her cold words were only heard by Mew, Mewtwo, and Aizen, who shared a link with her.
The Crimson Queen then raised her hand and myriad lights dazzled around her.
"Mewww!!"
Her little sister, who was sobbing in her arms, suddenly appeared in front of Mewtwo, protecting him.
"Stand aside, Mew."
However, the little Goddess did not budge from her place.
She begged her sister to spare Mewtwo, and the way she pleaded with her was heart-wrenching.
Seeing that the Crimson Queen had already made up her mind, she begged her Father, who was watching everything.
And moments later, Arceus' Judgement fell on her from the sky...
