Wait, you guys got CLASSES?

Cody was tugging on his Grandmother's arm, she was always a heavyset lady, but now it was like grabbing onto a lineman.

Ira waited and spoke, "3...2...1..NOW" and they both pulled so hard they felt like their arms would break.

Granny came flying out of the cocoon, she had barely woken up in the air, "WHO THINKS THEY HAVE THE BALLS?" she slung Ira to the ground and tried to clothesline Cody as she turned her body.

Her stiff arm slammed into him and stopped dead in its tracks, making a loud smacking sound as her flesh rippled.

Cody felt the force, but it was too insignificant for him. He frowned and thought to calm her down, but she seemed to have figured out what was going on.

Before he moved, she slumped to the ground and began to pray, "Lord, I am so sorry, please forgive me." The woman was calm, but crying about hurting her babies.

"PAPAW, are you okay?" Cody remembered him as he was getting up off the ground.

He looked shocked, in pain, and...impressed?

"Hot damn, that was a mighty fine push Betty." He chuckled as she stood and ran to him as fast as she could.

It might not have seemed like much, but Cody was chased by her just a week ago, and she was movin'.

She wasn't night and day different, but it was a powerful run, like she was holding back and moving faster than ever.

Ira braced himself and caught his love in his arms and planted a wet smooch on her lips.

Cody HAD to look away when he heard the noises, but just then, he noticed a woman with a ball of blue light in her hand, and another with red…

'Holy shitbucket.'

He just stared and lost time as he noticed a small pain on the back of his leg, but it quickly went away.

A few seconds later, he noticed it again, but it felt like maybe it was just his jeans pinching him or an out of season mosquito bite.

He looked down and saw a small blob trying to devour him, he panicked and did absolutely nothing.

"IRA!" Shouted Grandma Betty, she was pointing at the slime trying to dissolve Cody's leg.

He quickly grabbed his gun and aimed at the small Slime, "Don't move a muscle Cody!" he was prepared to hit the target as a small orb of blue blew past him.

The [Frost Orb] slammed into Cody's leg and froze the Slime solid with a single hard crunching sound. It was like a million people stepping on fresh snow all at once.

"Ah…?" Cody lightly hollered out as he expected the ice to harm him, but it felt kind of nice.

[Ding! Congratulations on your domination of the inferior species!] a voice rang out in his head.

'Inferior species?' Cody stood in awe as the lady walked up to him about to cry, "I am so, so, so, sorry, I didn't mean to hit your leg." She was crying hysterically after a few moments and Cody was just poking at his skin.

He jumped up and felt refreshed, like he had taken a bath at the right temperature after a gloriously successful nap, a one in a million occurrence.

"What.." the young woman said with a meek voice.

"You should be frozen solid, how did you???" Something flashed in her mind, "You are a TANK, THANK GOODNESS!!!!" She hugged him tightly, "I was so worried, but that makes sense as to why the thing attacked you!" She chuckled as if it was the only explanation as to what was going on here.

Cody just nodded and thought about what had happened, 'Maybe I am a tank? Idk, how do you know?' Then it hit him, the voice in his head and the tattoo. 'I'm dumb as FUCKKKKK!!!'

Cody tried "the word," "Ahem, STATUS!" and the world was overlaid with a light pink minimalistic wireframe mesh that denoted texture shifts and allowed his depth of field to remain as he read the text.

[Hello, welcome to the System. This is your first time booting up your body as you have undergone the standard 'Dimensional Corrective Surgery' and are now considered a stable being. (At least physically. The System does not take responsibility for any mental breaks while acclimating to your new world.)]

The text weirded Cody the hell out, as it seems it was written by a snarky version of the orb, or maybe a person?

[Would you like to view your current status?]

[Yes/No]

Cody thought about saying yes and as he did, it was complete.

The text flashing in his eyes was making him remember strange words. Explanations.

The voice was explaining that the "arbitrary" values were simple representations used by the multiverse to denote power in the transitioning stages.

Also, The Consciousness was intrigued to see how people would grow their bodies under knowledgeable circumstances, as finding one's True Way was not easy.

[Hello, Monk, you have had selections made for you. Please remain calm.]

[Initiating body alteration….]

Cody began to glow and a golden sheen could be seen around him. It was not eye catching, more of a natural wonder than an industrial process.

[Class acquisition in progress. Way Traits being recalculated.]

[Eternal Refining Body has been granted.]

[Error: Harmonious Trait acquired, requesting a Higher-Neuron.]

{Merge in progress}

{ERROR: LEGENDARY TRAIT WOULD NOT MERGE WITH RARE TRAIT}

[Requesting Higher-Neuron.]

[Ah, hello. Nice to meet you again, how are yo-WHAT?]

The First Consciousness had been chuckling for the past few minutes as it watched its lower selves handle an impossible problem.

"Ah, figured me out already?" The being descended to a small planet that was unfolding into many new dimensions and watched as whole worlds bonded to it, a new era was beginning.

[Trait Error resolved.]

[Harmonious Body has been merged with the Class Acquired trait, Eternal Refining Body.]

{Rank of rarity is set to be Unique.}

[Trait Acquired: Eternal Refining Body of Harmony.]

Cody woke up and felt...different.

"Grandpa?" Cody looked around and could only find his Grandfather looking at another person with their body bruised up.

Ira heard his Grandson and immediately ran to him, "You okay boy?"

As he sat up, his Grandfather had just gotten to him from at least 30 feet, either he was tired, or Gramps was fast.

Gramps smiled, "Boy, you sure had us worried for a bit."

He hugged his Papaw and just looked around, "I'm sorry, but where the heck are we?"

"Oh, that...well, we were in the square and then the Slime climbed up your leg, next thing we know, you are lights out. Then we heard screams, so, Grandma picked you up like a sack of potatoes and we turned tail and ran to the local bowling alley." Gramps was showing him to Betty who was cooking in the back, when she noticed.

"BABY!" She hollered and then ran at top speed at him, nearly killing him in the process.

"GRANDMA, GRANDMA, PUT ME DOWN!" She was shaking him back and forth, clearly happy to see him awake.
