'How, they actually held the position like statues for 2 minutes straight...' I looked in awe at the 15 goblins that were now looking at me with expecting and excited eyes.

Because they weren't strong enough to fight fire lizards on their own, they heavily depended on me for food right now.

"Okay, let's go find some fire lizards to hunt!" After speaking, I began walking deeper into the forest and the goblins followed after me. Not only was I going to hunt fire lizards for food, but I also wanted to try out my new skills.

Mainly the [Fire Lizard Scale Generation] skill and the [Scale Heat Manipulation] skill. I could already tell what the [Overheat] skill was. The [Fire Breath] was also extremely explanatory.

While walking, I could hear the quiet chatters of some of the goblins behind me.

"What do you think fire lizards taste like? I haven't had them in so long that I've forgotten the taste. The last hunters only hunted small rabbits and slimes."

"I've forgotten the taste as well..."

"Me too..."

"Hey, you, you've tasted the fire lizard yesterday right? What does it taste like?"

"Yeah, tell us!"

"Well, it tastes amazing! The fire lizard meat is filled with savory juices that come out the moment you bite down on the meat! And the meat isn't bland and is incredibly flavorful. Not to mention it has a nice spice to it!"

Some of the goblins' faces lit up when they heard Marina's description of the fire lizard meat.

'It seems like I've found one!'

"Here's our first one." I said to the goblins while pointing in the direction of the fire lizard.

We were in a part of the forest where the trees were everywhere and there were a few tall stone pillars spread out.

It was an odd place.

"It's really a fire lizard!"

The goblins suppressed their urges to pounce at the fire lizard because they knew they were not a match for it without any proper training.

'Ugh, I just thought of something. There's no point in training these guys with exercises when you can level up in this world! I forgot there were extraordinary powers in this world. I can just power level them and teach them how to fight along the way.' I facepalmed myself when I thought about this.

In this world, there's no need to put in so much effort just to build up a small bit of strength every now and then. People could actively get stronger with visible improvements to their strength here.

After facepalming, I activated the [Fire Lizard Scale Generation] skill, which surprised all the goblins and made them gasp in shock.

I didn't plan on hiding this from any of them, as they're my comrades and kin. But if I was amongst humans, then it'd be a different story.

There was no doubt someone would try to take my power for themselves.

After activating the skill, my entire body was covered in red, fiery, fire lizard scales.

"You guys stand back, I'll take care of this fire lizard, just watch for now." I said as I waved my arm, signaling them to move back.

The goblins moved back immediately and waited for me to attack.

When I looked at the fire lizard, it looked confused as to why I had scales similar to it, but it didn't matter.

Without hesitation, I rushed towards the fire lizard, weaving through the trees, and appeared in front of it in but a second.

G-Grr!

The fire lizard was surprised but quickly recovered and tried to use its fire breath against me.

'You're not so lucky as the last fire lizard I fought. Now that my body is covered in scales, I can use actual moves against you!'

I jumped in the air, over the fire lizard's fire breath, and performed an axe kick towards its head. Because the fire lizard had such slow speed, it wasn't able to dodge my attack in time.

Before my kick landed on the fire lizard's head, I activated the [Scale Heat Manipulation] and raised the temperature of my scales by over 100° Fahrenheit. As the temperature of my scales rose, I began to feel a weak warmth over my whole body.

'Will I feel the heat too if I raise the temperature enough? I wonder what the limit is for these scales...'

My kick finally landed as my scales turned a bright red and crashed down on the fire lizard's head.

GROWGH?!

The fire lizard let out a growl mixed with a groan as the heat of my scales surprised it and burned the scales on its head.

"I wonder how the tribe chief can use the scales of the fire lizard. Amazing..."

"Yeah..."

The other goblins stared in awe at my performance.

"I'm not done yet! Taste the power of anime attacks!" As the fire lizard was slightly stunned for a moment, I dashed to its side and kicked it in its ribcage.

The fire lizard was brought out of its daze and coughed up a bit of blood as it was lifted slightly in the air. The fire lizard fell to the ground and growled before trying to shoot its fire breath at me again.

I jumped on the fire lizard punched its damaged ribcage with my fists that were over 100° Fahrenheit.

GRRRR!

The fire lizard must have activated the [Overheat] skill because I felt the temperature of its scales increase drastically to the point that even I felt a small burn on my hands.

'What temperature does the fire lizard's scales increase to when it uses that skill? Matter of fact, let's see the limit of my skill!'

I used the [Scale Heat Manipulation] skill to the max and increased the temperature of my scales beyond what I could think of.

If only 100 degrees made me feel a slight warmth over my body, then the temperature now was definitely in the hundreds or about to reach 1000! My body felt like it was on fire but I didn't deactivate the skill.

I attacked the fire lizard with a single punch that was over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Before my punch even landed I could see the fire lizard's scales rapidly burning away and the moment it landed, something amazing happened.

I thought that I would dish out a powerful hit that would melt the fire lizard's scales and some of its body, but I was wrong.

My fist felt little resistance as I watched the fire lizard's body in front of my fist burn away immediately. Before I knew it, I punched a gigantic hole through the fire lizard's body.

'...Incredible!'
