Not my day

I heard yelling so I came out to get some answers. I saw a younger assistant lunging at Phillip with a pair of scissors like it was a knife. I screamed, "You're fired" The security dragged her away immediately and I escorted Phillip to my office and asked if he was ok. He told me that the assistant was pissed she was caught with her boyfriend while on the job. She was hoping that he would turn a blind eye. He said that he won't so after an hour trying convince him she charged at him. I caressed his face and he smiled, "I am fine. Don't worry. You take things too seriously" I laced my fingers around his. His handsome features looked teasing.

I came home to hear an argument. Security and my butler were yelling at Xander. He was being told by an angry butler that he had better keep his problems out of this house since my children could be collateral damage. I asked if the intruder was after my brother and the butler said yes. Apparently there were two other break-ins. Diana was almost injured. Xander promised to solve all of his problems and in exchange he asked us to be patient. I gave him forty eight hours. Sasha was walking out with her significant other. Benji joked that they were doing in their usual round robin.

Phillip asked very politely if I could explain these terms since he may or may not be a part of this family. I shrugged, "Round robin means they will go all over the city and won't be able to decide where they want to go. One will say yes the other will say no. They will go into debate mode. Eventually exhaustion will convince them to come home and scroll every channel on cable. They will disagree about what they want to see and then pass out on the couch. The next morning they will wake up on the floor with no recollection of how they ended up there." Edge walked in and started snickering. Sasha stuck her tongue out as she walked out of the premises. Dash walked out with a blackboard and a piece of chalk. She started writing down bets on how long it will take before Sasha comes home. While everyone made bets as I went upstairs to sleep. Todd was waiting by the stairs as Phillip and I walked upstairs.

The next morning my butler was handing out piping hot mugs of hot chocolate. What he muttered as he passed it had Todd and Phillip looked puzzled. When he gave the triplets he happily said, "Cake batter for the babies" He gave Di and Fin each a mug of hot chocolate and said, "Tap water" he gave Diana a mug and mumbled, "Toothache" he gave Sasha and Edge their hot chocolate and said, "Diesel" he gave me mine and said, "Goldilocks" and he walked off to get aloe vera juice for Jasmine. Todd stared all confused, "What did he say?" I giggled like a four year old, "Cake batter is my butler's way of saying that hot chocolate that is too thick. Tap water means the liquid is just like water and barely any sweetener in it. Toothache means it is really so sweet that your stop is the dentist office. Diesel means hot chocolate mixed with super strong black coffee" Phillip chuckled, "Goldilocks means it is just right" I pat him on the shoulder and tapped his nose as I walked past him. I smiled, "Gold star"

Phillip walked out the door and started hyperventilating as he saw the replica of the car he demolished waiting to take me to the office he volunteered to take me instead. Diana got the back and was practically jumping up and singing, "Daddy's taking me to school." Phillip blushed fifty shades of red as he drove off. After Diana was safely inside Phillip took me to a restaurant where I would be hosting my clients for dinner that night. Laurel and Posh were already going through the tasting menu. Lena looked displeased with the dishes and Posh kept telling her to be quiet. Xander stared at both of them with absolute amusement. He laughed delightfully at the reaction of both of them as I walked in and slapped my purse on the table. Both of them said that they would bring their enemies here but not the clients. The food is not up to the high standards that I had apparently raised them to. According to Lena the food is bland. According to Posh the plate was arranged by a three year old. Jasmine said that she had found four other restaurants to which Posh said he will handle the location my only job is to show and smile. I asked if I should strike a pose to which Posh said he will get his team of fashionistas to assist but for now get back to my office and try to be more relaxed. Xander drove me and he laughed the entire time. He said Edge was the funniest of the lot. I retorted that this is a dry spell he should be here during storm season. He will crack his ribs trying to stop himself from laughing. If nothing else he will definitely pee his pants. My security wears a diaper during the lockdown.
