Chapter 5

I arrived at Castle Dracula. I was escorted to his room. I sat down to enjoy a blood bag when Drake came over. I tried to think of ways to convince him that this guy looks like he lives under a rock. That means he won't believe me till it is too late. That is exactly how it happened. I even reviewed the memory to prove to him. I tried to see it from another person's perspective. When he walked in he was grinning at me. He waved me off by asking me to come with him. He gave me a tour of Castle Dracula. He asked me not to go to one specific room in the library. It looked like door that leads to the Shire in the Hobbits movie. I thought Frodo Baggins might walk out of it. He was amused by the extent of my imagination. He delightful listened to what I thought of the place and burst out laughing. There are no words to describe what I felt when I heard his laugh. His other wives stared at us scandalized. He took my hand he asked me to stay away from this door. I asked him if he used this to banish people and he said that he doesn't use it for that purpose. It is for a different purpose. I asked him what the door is called. He said it is the portal of the realms.

I was intrigued but his face told me that unless there is an emergency I should avoid this door like it is the black death itself. I stared at the books saw a ghost floating in the upper section of the library. He was wearing a suit of armor. He was floating casually like he had a mission. I dismissed him and saw the section dedicated to mystery. I happily dove into one of them. The book was rudely yanked from my hand. It was a reminder that it was time to spend with Drake. He smiled at my realization. We took a walk in the garden and saw the pixie staring at us with anger. She was cursing in her language until her mother dragged her away.

I walked to the woods and little dots of surrounded me with joy. I saw the little fairies dance around me. We were enjoying the weather when James walked in. Immediately Drake became defensive. He took a fighting pose and I had to drag him away. But the thing is James kept walking with us. He was walking in daylight. This is only possible if he uses dark magic. It turns out someone made him human so he came here till his brother finds someone who can make him a vampire again. Drake was angry that James wanted to be a vampire again. So he swore if I turned James he will lock me in the tower forever. He hates James so much that he will drain him dry. I quickly called William and he retrieved his brother before any incident. William smiled as he gave me a tortoise for my birthday before he left.

I called it Marcel. Drake was curious that I wanted a pet. The concept was foreign to him. He saw how affectionate person I was. I thought he might get jealous. He gets triggered easier. He promised not to hurt it since it made me happy and I have begun to forgive him. I smiled at Drake and wished him a nice day as I walked back to my property to find the hotel was running fine.

They did hear about the abduction and was pleased that I used my cunning brain to get out of it. The dragons were the first to inquire. I had to do the usual since they like the first hand perspective. I saw Drakov was feeling better since his ordeal with the collector. He was apprehensive as he approached me. I extended my hand and he got see things from my point of view. He smiled at me and walked off to have dinner with his cousins.

The hotel had been transformed to look like a pyramid. My office was on the top floor. The walls had Inca paintings on it. The cups arranged on my desk were made Lapis lazuli. There were jade ornaments all over the place. The walls had nougats of gold embedded in them. On one wall was a frame with actual necklaces from were the tribes that lived in the area. There was one of beaten gold with Torquoise. The next one a silver necklace with opals and the last one was a mix of silver and obsidian necklace with amethyst. There were headdresses with feathers. An actual shrunken head and a few weapons decorating that same wall. There was a mannequin with a warrior outfit on it.

The next wall was a door that appears only when I need it to and it will allow me to pass through. I was pleased with that security measure. I sat down to see Drake walking in to see me. He was pleased to announce that James will no longer bother us. He had one of his gypsies do a love charm. So now he is drooling over someone else. That is saying something. He wanted to know why he can't sense James in my mind anymore. I simply divulged that the dragons burned the link between us. He laughed as I described the scene. I was asked to recall what had happened that moment. I did and his smile grew wider. He promised to join me for lunch and left for a training session. I went back admiring my office.

Shape shifters arrived along with werewolves and a fight broke out. A few were died and more were injured. James arrived the same time as Drake and exacted revenge on trying to evict him from my life. I watched as his friend blew something on Drake's face and he coughed a little and then he looked around with curiosity before he left. I tried calling his mansion but no response. I reached out through my mind and he was happy to see me but he refused to believe I was real. I asked him where he was and I will prove it to him allowing him to drink my blood. He winced at the idea. He said he had unfinished business. He vanished from my head. I managed to punch James in the face once before security tackled him. He looked calm and happy. I wanted to hurt him badly.

I raked my brain to find out a solution and the only one idea came to mind. Angharad the witch queen. I quickly used the words to summon her. James screamed his disapproval. Angharad appeared in flash of light. She saw me and inquired with absolute boredom. I explained to her what James had done. James blurted out that he had restored order. Angharad promised to help me in exchange for taking James' vampiric ability. I granted her that. She smiled and summoned Dracula. He was surprised to see her. The witch mumbled something and blew into his face. Drake coughed and he looked up to remember what had happened. He apologized profusely and hugged me. He turned to see James getting punished for what he had done. When Angharad was finished both Drake and James fought. They both fell head first into the pool of death and died. I tried to rescue Drake but that wasn't possible. They both dissolved till only their bones were the only things left. In my pain I bit my arm to remember better days of my life and I saw something that shocked me. It turns out James wasn't the one that rescued me. He took credit for it. William was a vampire while James was a werewolf. William rescued me as a vampire and he was sworn to be my husband. William was my guardian vampire. I recalled a witch had hexed him to switch creatures with James. James was turned into a vampire while he William was turned to a werewolf before the witch forced him into servitude.
