Chapter 7

Drakov came to see me while I was arranging my room. He sat on the trunk and asked me if I could extend my hand so he can see. He was upset that I was going to get married to William but pleased that he managed to stop it. He pressed his hand against mine and showed me things that took my breath away. There are no words to describe how awesome it was. I sat next to him and promised to stay with him till he dies. He made the others swear to send me home alive and safe when that happens.

The kids came running to have a turn seeing things so I made it clear that I will show if they promised not to leave the island because there are those that want to take advantage of them. They had seen what had happened to Drakov so they weren't keen on going out to see the world anyway. It turns out every dragon felt that way. They took turns seeing my funny moments and laughing merrily. Their dimpled faces were enough to make me want to stay here. This amused the others as they rarely keep people alive in this island. I was severely warned to stay away from the place where the heart resides.

The next day a note was carved on the sandy shores asking for my presence since I am in charge of a neutral zone. Drakov wasn't pleased to see it but I am in charge of land I walked towards the ship on the outskirts of the ribs and imagined my office. The door appeared to let me in. Drakov came with me along with a few adult dragons. Azula a young gypsy was at the lobby and she was shaking head to toe. She asked for sanctuary so the others had to leave or remain neutral. The new goblin king was staring at me with wrath and retribution but knew better when he saw who was giving him a much severe version of the look of death. Eight angry dragons that were emitting smoke from their noses. He backed away slowly knowing that he is toast. He simply declared that he has let bygones be bygones. He looked like he would like sanctuary but before he could say so that the dragons asked if they could have permission to right a wrong my response was yes. In a flash the men turned into dragons and burned the goblin king to cinders. I was allowed to handle the affairs of the day and then I walked back through the ring of flames. Drakov asked me to open the door that allowed me to leave the island and the enchantment was burnt off by a few dozen angry dragons. They seemed to think that having such a door is a very bad idea. They have worked very hard to protect their habitat. They don't like it being violated by outsiders. I nod my approval of his opinion and walked to the beach to play with the children.

We made sandcastles, did splash battles, swimming competition and jumping competition. The adults watched amused as I kept the kids distracted. I ran along the surf feeling the waves crash beneath my feet. I ran with my hands spread as though they were wings with my eyes closed. I finally reached the ribs and turned into bats and flew back to the beach. I didn't forget the rules of the island. The adults smiled as I seemed adamant on staying in one piece. The kids asked me about Poseidon. I wiggled my fingers and the nearest ones grabbed a finger till each finger was grabbed on by a baby dragon. I showed them Atlantis and the Megalodon. How the bad ones were defeated. There were a few that were amused that I used such distinct words since I am now neutral but brushed it off thinking that maybe I am still learning neutrality. I came realize that there are dragons that serve dark creatures too. There are those that like to help good people and those that want absolutely nothing to do with anyone at all. There are those were guilty and the reformed just like the rest of us.

I went to sleep that night and all I can think of was my attempts to arrest Mickey when I was a kid. How grandpa used to shake his head when I had succeeded in my attempts to rid the town of the menace. Dad used to laugh as he would recall the days when he would pull pranks on people but would make it clear that he won't go as far the as menace did. I was woken up by the dragons and they said that I was required at the Skull island where Tiamat seems to have a dilemma. Her mother had escaped prison and she was rallying armies to invade Drogon's Isle. I was asked very rudely by one of the dragons to stay put but I made up my mind. If Tiamat needs my help I will go to her aid. I asked the dragons to open a portal to Skull island. Tiamat was waiting for me with William behind her. The dragons weren't pleased with this current situation but still they came along.

Tiamat opened a vortex in her private pool and she nudged me to go in. I jumped in and was taken to the desert. I wandered for hours in circle till I decided to pull out the mirror. I was going to ask her to bring me back to Skull Island. I realized that the mirror was gone. It was replaced with a compass. The thing was broken. I looked at it with anger and shook it. I thought how can this busted thing show me a hidden desert kingdom that is trying to hurt the merpeople and the dragons. Suddenly the needle moved and it decided to stay still. It pointed north west.

I kept walking till the ground swallowed me. It actually sucked me in. It felt like a huge vacuum cleaner sucked me in. There was a slight pause and I started to fall. I hit the ground with a thud and then I went down what felt like a slide till I flew in the air. Instinctively I turned to bats and flew to the ceiling. I watched the people walking towards a cavern. It was covered in spikes. It felt like the cavern was defending itself against intruders. I flew carefully till I reached the other side. There was a gathering of all kinds of creatures. They surrounded a mound of sand where a man that looks like a younger version of Poseidon was preaching to the crowd. They listened closely as he waved his fist and shouted in a unknown language. Behind him was a creature that resembles Tiamat when she is in monster form. This must be her mother. They were talking in some other worldly language that I didn't understand. When everyone started to cheer I realized that maybe they had completed their evil plan. I had enough so I snuck out and retraced my path. I kept going till I was out in the blistering desert once more. I thought about my place in the Amazon rainforest and a blackpool appeared. I stepped into it and the oily substance wrapped itself around me. I imagined my office and closed my eyes. I opened them a few blink later and found myself in the lobby. I contacted Tiamat and the others to explain what had happened.

Tiamat arrived and I pressed my hand against her face. She saw and heard what happened and somehow understood what happened and she gave me a satisfying nod. It turns out one of the dragons was a traitor. He replaced my mirror with the compass in the hopes that I would be captured. He had hoped that they would use the compass to find Drogon's Isle. This dragon was smoked out by the Drako. He was forced to turn into a dragon and they both shot flames out at each other. The flames met and formed a huge fireball. The ball was pushed to the middle. If one of them stopped the fire would be hurled at the person. The dark one finally got tired and he ducked. The fireball missed him by an inch. The older one waved their and the fireball shot up in the air. One of the other dragons waved their hands. The fireball turned in series of fireworks.
