I will bring the war

"Congratulations, Uncle. I am sure that your idea will be the big hit"

Mara shook her hand with Noah Flynn, they just finished discussing about the collaboration between their two companies. Noah Flynn was shocked to see how the young woman could make him trust her easily and sign the contract smoothly.

"Yea, I agree" the man replied, already seeing the bright future of the young woman. The young woman stood up from the seat, getting ready to leave the restaurant. Aleksander quickly stood up from the seat. "Wait, Mara. Can we talk?" he asked with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

Mara was dumbfounded, she gulped. She looked down at her wrist to check the time, it was 5 in the evening, time to go pick her Husky back from dogs daycare park. Mara did not know what to reply. She pressed her lips, thinking of an excuse. But no excuses came up.

"I apologize, I still have works to do. Maybe next time" She answered with a usual smile, making Alek fell into silence. Kylo glanced at the young woman who was smiling at Alek. "Well, Mara is a busy woman now, Alek. You can't ask her to stay all the time like you used to"

Noah spoke, patting his son's back. He was signaling his son not to cause a mess. "Yea, I understand. Give me your number then" Alek asked, Mara nodded. "Give me your phone" Alek handed his phone as Mara dialed her number then gave it back to the man.

Maybe that Aleksander Flynn was not a bad guy and he could be a great friend. Mara decided to become friend with that man. Having a boy bestfriend could not harm her so it was ok. "Thanks.." Alek murmured. "Welcome, then Uncle, see you soon"

Noah nodded and shook hands with the young woman again. Mara bid goodbye and walked out of the restaurant after paying for what they drank. Kylo followed her, not uttering any word. Alek's eyes did not leave from the young woman until she disappeared from his sight.

"She has changed"

Noah spoke as he walked out of the restaurant with his son behind after the young woman left. "I know right. She looks so different. She looks exactly like her mother now" Alek replied as he sat down at the driver seat while his father sat down beside him, at the passenger seat.

"I agree. She has grown up into a wise woman" Noah smiled, waiting to see his son's reaction. "Mmm" Alek could not even reply, he just nodded in agreement. He was busy thinking about how to apologize to the young woman for what happened.

"Drive me back to the company" Mara ordered as Kylo closed the car door. The car was the company car so she could not order the driver to drive her to wherever she wanted. Not too long after, they arrived back to the company.

Mara quickly got out from the car, not even waiting for Kylo to open the door. "Umm, can you take care of the rest? I really need to go now" she said to Kylo with furrowed eyebrows. "Thank you, Kylo" she did not even let the man reply and thanked him with a simple smile.

Then she went into the taxi in hurry. Since the dogs daycare park was going to close at 6pm, she needed to hurry. Kylo was dumbfounded when the young woman left him in front of the company without letting him talk back.

She could have asked the driver to drive her to wherever she wanted and yet she did not. Instead, she went back with the taxi. She looked like a mother who was running back to primary school to pick her daughter up. Kylo shook his head and stepped into the company.

Today was the weird day for him. He had seen the different Mara Athena for the first time. She had never look straight into someone's eyes but now she walked with head up like a queen who everyone feared, she talked like a wise woman without any mistakes.

She became the opposite one of herself, not like before. He started to worry for his plan, the young woman could disturb his plan of taking revenge. If she was going to be like that, he would not be able to destroy the company easily.

She was intelligent, a perilously clever woman, he had seen the way how she made the collaboration with Noah Flynn. She talked wisely to attract others attentions and sign the contract with her easily. Her company could become the top one if Kylo ignored her.

He had to do something about that. He had to take revenge on that asshole father of Mara Athena for covering his mother's death like a dust, he had to make the stepmother of Mara Athena repay for killing his mother.

He needed to do something.

He decided to watch the young woman first and think what to do later. Since he could not read the young woman like before, he could only watch. "Thanks.." Mara went out of the taxi after paying the cost. She walked into the park with quick steps.

"Hello, I am Mara Athena. I am here to pick my Husky back" Mara smiled at the woman as the woman nodded with a smile. "Please wait here for a while" Mara stood at the place, waiting for the woman to come back with her Husky. "I should find a maid as soon as possible" she murmured.

"*Woof*" the dog's bark brought Mara back from spacing out. She turned around and looked at the Husky which was running towards her with wagging tail. "Hello, Baby!!" Mara grinned and knelt down to hug her Husky without caring the stares from the people.

"Sorry, mommy is late today" she apologized as ruffled the dog's soft fur. The dog did not even understand her words, he just licked his owner's cheek. "Let's go.." she stood up as grabbed the dog's leash and went out of the park after thanking the woman who took care of her dog.

She walked back to her home with her Husky. "I need a trustful maid to leave my house in her hands" she talked to herself. Mara stepped into the house with furrowed eyebrows but was stopped by her dog. "*Woof!*" The Husky suddenly barked loudly, making Mara flinched.

"Gosh, you scared me. What's wrong?" she asked her dog which was refusing to go into the house. The Husky stepped in front of her and kept barking loudly into the house, he growled. Mara frowned tightly in confusion. People nearby became to outrage by the loud barks.

"Shh! baby! What's wrong?!"

Mara raised her voice, trying to drag her dog into the house but her steps suddenly stopped when she saw the door knob. It was opened, there was someone in her house. That's why her Husky was barking loudly and growling while protecting her.

She patted her dog's head, trying to calm him down. She stepped in front of her dog, her hand reached to her purse. Slowly and slowly, she put out her dagger. It was the habit of her, she always keep dagger or a pencil knife in her purse.

Since she was famous, there must be people who wanted to kill her. So she always keep the sharp tool in her purse. Mara tightened her grip on the dagger's handle, ready to stab whoever broke into her house. She took a deep breath.

The Husky growled, ready to bite. Mara kicked the door as she pointed the knife. But there was no one in the house. She furrowed her brows tightly and kept walking as the dog tried to follow her. But she stopped him. She shook her head.

She did not want to see her Husky being hurt by someone. The dog stepped back and obeyed his owner.  Mara smiled at her dog, she patted his head and continued walking. Her steps directed to her room. She quietly walked toward the room, not making any sounds.

"Sir, I can't wait anymore. It is been three hours and yet she is not back. Maybe she will come back late" The man's impatient voice was heard from the inside of her room, Mara frowned. She peeked into the room since the door was not closed.

There was a man with a mask on his face. He was wearing a black cap and looked like a thief. It seemed like he did not notice the appearance of the young woman. Since the room was soundproof, the man did not hear any slam nor dog's loud barks.

The maids used to abuse Mara Athena and if the young woman shouted, no one could hear so the room was soundproof. "I will come back at midnight and kill her for real, Sir Remy. I promise" the man's words made Mara gritted her teeth in anger.

So Remy Horper was the one who was trying to kill her by ordering someone since he was grounded. He was willing to do everything to get the 'Reece' company from the young woman. 'I will fucking kill you, Remy Horper'

Mara swore in her mind.

'Since you want the fight that much, I will bring the war' she gritted her teeth. He was the one who started all of this in sinful ways so she should end all of this in evil ways like he did. Mara slowly turned around and left the house quickly.

She did not call police nor ask for help because Remy Horper could shut the polices mouths with a huge amount of money. She could only fight back by herself, polices were no help for her. Sometimes, there was no justice in the world if you ask for help from the police.

Mara should find a new house as soon as possible. She ran out of the house with her Husky in hurry. She grabbed her Husky's leash tightly and went into the nearest store quickly. Mara decided to go take her important things back when the man left.

The man stepped out of the house with his mask on. He looked around to make sure no one saw him. He lowered his head and left the house. Little did he know that there was a man from afar, watching everything from the start with furrowed eyebrows. He saw everything.

He saw how that man in black cap broke into the young woman's house. He saw how the young woman noticed the door knob and how she took out the dagger from her purse bravely, walking into the house without hesitating.

His lips curved up into a smirk when he saw the young woman walking out of the house with flames in her eyes. He sighed, he thought the young woman would need help but in reality the man in black cap would be the one who needed help if the young woman tried to kill.

He started the engine of his motorcycle after wearing the motorcycle helmet. He was none other than Oliver Jack aka non blood related brother of Mara Athena. He came to help the young woman after hearing the conversation of his brother about killing Mara Athena.

He ignored it at first.

But when he realized what was happening, he was already in front of the young woman's house. Even himself did not know why he wanted to help the young woman. Maybe he wanted to see how she was going to handle the situation.
