In the cabin, Barry was dissecting the corpse of a mutant creature.
This was not something they had hunted, but rather a mutated fish they had bought from local fishermen before their arrival.
Reportedly, when it was caught, it tore through the net, injuring someone, and the sailors had to fire dozens of bullets to finally kill it!
"What a pity, it would have been better to have a live specimen," Barry thought.
When he used a cutter to open its head, he suddenly discovered something seemed to be wriggling inside the brain tissue.
"A parasite, or a small marine organism?" Barry carefully covered it with a glass jar and secured it.
From the brain tissue crawled out a milky white, long worm with a large head, and upon closer inspection, it had countless fine hairs on its body.
"What kind of worm is this?" As a marine biologist, Barry was familiar with various marine organisms, but he had never seen a worm like this before.
