Grand Welcome

The servants were all standing in a line when Elena arrived while Yang Shi helped her out of the car. Yang Shi looked at all the servants while they all bowed at her looking at the girl beside her they all knew Miss. Xin was not only a regular visitor but also a very silent and polite child. They were also aware of the accident and pitied the poor child who lost her mother.

"Now onwards Xiulin would be living here in Mansion and you all should address her as a Young miss and her treatment should be equal to the treatment of Bohai and Zixuan."

Even though they were quite surprised by this development, they all nodded.

"Welcome back young miss" they all addressed.

Xin Xiulin didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry looking at the grand welcome. She just smiled and nodded.

While all the servants were dazzled by her bright smile. They took her luggage and went upstairs. While Xiulin and Yang Shi entered, there were few members in the living hall.

There was an old man who looked very strict whom she recognized as Jun Cheng, who Xiulin was supposed to call Grandpa Jun. Elena remembered her own Grandpa Carlo, who was one of the strictest rulers of the international underworld before he died on the same night as her parents.

Jun Cheng was eagerly waiting to see his Xiulin. He was worried sick ever since he heard about the accident. He also treated Li Huan as his daughter and losing two of them at once would have killed him. Then there is a man in his early 50s who was Jun Xian, Yang Shi's husband.

Elena turned to the stairs where an old lady slowly came down the stairs while a young boy of her age was helping her. That guy must be Aunt Yang's son, she thought because of his undeniable similarities. The Old lady was Zhao Lifei. She was Jun Cheng's wife and the old mistress of Jun. She addressed them slowly and bowed even though it still feels so awkward when she bows" Grandpa Jun, Uncle Jun, Grandma Jun, and Brother Bohai".

" Oh my, look at you Xiu'er you have lost so much weight. How are you now? " Grandma Jun said.``I'm good Grandma Jun" Xiulin replied.

"Come here child, let me have a look at you," she said.

Xiulin slowly moved towards her while Grandma Jun observed her movements. She didn't know why, but she felt the child became a lot more elegant than she was before.

Jun Bohai stood aside and looked at the petite girl with his family who only nodded and spoke very little. He has seen Xin Xiulin a lot of times before and she was always this timid even though they have seen each other and went to the same school. They never really spoke with each other.

Then everyone slowly moved to the dining hall so that they could have lunch. Jun Cheng looked at Elena now Xiulin and smiled," So how are you doing Xiu'er? I heard you did really well in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation"Jun Cheng asked.

"I'm doing okay now Grandpa" Xiulin replied.

Jun Cheng and Jun Xian nodded after she answered.

"Xiulin did you know that Ah Shi has made you a wonderful room and she also made some changes with your school so that you can be comfortable when you go there," Jun Xian told her as she slowly at the chicken on her plate which Yang Shi kept filling.

"Xiu'er have you met Bohai before ? " asked Grandpa Jun

Xiulin looked at Bohai who was sitting on the other side of the table and turned to Grandpa, nodding.

"He'll be taking care of you at school from now on, okay?" said Master Jun Xian.

"School?" she asked.

"Yes, this is your last year, so you have to work hard," said Yang Shi.

Elena wasn't really sad that she has to do her senior year because she always wanted to go to school, but given their circumstances, she had to be homeschooled till her college and was only allowed to go to university after a month of tantrums and begging Yet she had a parade of security which was following her everywhere she went so she never really had any friends like at all.

She can't even remember a conversation made between her and a classmate because of Alexei's repeated warnings. She was told that everything was dangerous and she died in the least expected place.

She means come on couldn't you cut some slack and let her have some friends. And now here she is in this situation. She blames all this on her family. After Lunch Jun Xian told Jun Bohai to show me around the house, even she has seen all this already but she couldn't refute so couldn't he so they both started walking in silence as Xiulin looked around at the beautiful pictures of the family and she was in a few of them too and they stopped when she was looking at one picture.

It was a picture of a young boy catching a little girl baby. " Is that Xiulin?" she asked. Xiulin realized that she talked about herself in the third person view and bit her tongue.

Jun Bohai looked at the picture and nodded," Yes, that's you and Big brother" he replied. That's Jun Zixuan she realized as she looked at him in the picture, he is Yang Shi's elder son.

They kept looking at the pictures when Jun Bohai finally spoke up," I'm sorry about what happened to your mother" he said looking at her. He didn't know if had to pick that topic or not at the start, but later he realized he had to say something. And he also realized that she wasn't that bad as he painted her to be in his head.

When he was young, he used to feel that his family loved Xiulin more than him as she spent a lot of time at their house. And she used to laugh and talk a lot too. But when her father died and he visited her funeral too, he has never seen her that silent and cold.

She has stopped talking to everyone ever since. He saw her sometimes in school too but she was always sitting alone, so he thought she wouldn't want to talk to him. " It's alright," she replied with a sigh when he looked at her.
