Brusnitsyn Mansion
Adrian was planning to spend the entire day sulking around. What else could he do other than get reminded by his sister of everything he looked at?
"Master, we have published the boardings everywhere as we used to," Alexei said as he looked at his young master who looked nothing like his previous self.
Alexei woke up the 3 months ago and came back to work immediately after he recovered. There wasn't a single day that he hasn't spent with the guilt of his young miss's death.
He wished he was the one who has died there and then his precious young miss.
If anyone has heard that he called the Carlo heirs lively, they would choke themselves. Because those both were nowhere near lively. And if they were called lively the word itself had an entirely different meaning. But it was different for them.
For the cold atmosphere they grew up in, the small smile of his Young miss was indeed lively. It was their light in the darkness. There wasn't a single person in the entire clan who didn't adore Elena as their own.
Elena was one of the only girl children to be ever born into a male-dominated family. Making her the most loved and pampered child since young. Unlike the usual cold treatment kids receive in families like these. Elena grew up very loved by her family or even her brother and his subordinates.
She was always protected most importantly cared for. But seeing himself how bad of a job he did at the only job he had. He couldn't help but feel like a burden living, but he knew he had to.
To get revenge for his young miss.
But Alexei didn't just lose his young miss to that accident, he lost his love.
Michelle
His Michelle
She died with their young miss and he couldn't even get her last glance. If only he could take their place, he would gladly surrender himself.
Adrian knew Alexei has lost as much as he did that day and nor would could he ever blame him for being alive today. But nor could he comfort him with lies about how happy he is happy to see him alive. Yes, he was selfish. But he only wanted his sister nothing else mattered.
London
Jun Zixuan paced around the study to understand what he just saw and he picked up his phone and called Gu Chen to ask him to check if there were other boardings and sent him the pictures he took in the airport.
Gu Chen sent him a picture of all the boardings around the city and they were completely different from the one he saw in the airport because the picture turned into a person he wasn't familiar with. Her hair was long and her eyes were icier with those blue, which reminded him of the waves. He felt like this drawing was the most recent one. As if she grew up to look like this.
And if he calculated by their college and everything indeed Elena would be 24 today because he turned 24 this year. "Lennie" also seems like a short form of Elena. He wanted to use this as his chance. Maybe he is close to finding her. But does he want to now?
But didn't he want to find her all this time? What is making him hesitate? What changed?
There was a knock at the door and Xiulin's head popped out.
"Brother Jun, Lunch is being served," she said with a wide smile observing him.
Jun Zixuan looked at her in a daze as he stood there staring at Xiulin. That's when he understood what changed. And why all that hesitation because unexpectedly moved on from his first love without knowing. Because of his curiosity in a teenager.
"Are you okay?" she repeated herself getting inside the room.
Jun Zixuan could only nod as he looked at her in horror at the realization. He started liking Xiulin who was like his younger sister.
"I'll join you guys slowly. You go ahead," he said, trying to calm himself down.
"Are you sure?" Xiulin felt more worried when he became pale so she moved near him to touch him to see his temperature. Jun Zixuan moved away his hand super fast before she could touch it.
Xiulin felt her heart heavy. She has never felt that way. She felt sad. She turned back and left.
Jun Zixuan was left looking at his hand where she tried to touch him and then her back as she left.
Xiulin didn't understand why she felt that way. Anyways, it wasn't like they were close, but he was so pale, not that she was worried. But he didn't look handsome that way. Wait, what is she saying again?
