Goodbye

He was a gift she can't afford right now. So she could only distance herself from him.

Bohai felt Xiulin has gotten so silent lately but whenever he tried to talk to her or ask something she avoided the topic. But he knew she wasn't gonna go anywhere so he waited for her to come to talk to him.

But Xiulin knew that time is never gonna come. She looked at him from afar with Lihua and smiled. She hoped that he would accept Lihua one day, she knew he liked her too. He would at least not be alone.

They shopped around and after a while, they returned to the condo. They all were very tired so everyone retired to their rooms quietly. Bohai knocked on Xiulin's door after everyone left.

She was surprised but let him inside. She gave him an eyebrow raise as he entered and made himself comfortable.

"I'm willing to listen," he said with his poker face.

Though Xiulin didn't understand what he was talking about by the look on his face she knew what he was trying to talk about.

"Xiuxiu, I know and I can see that something is up with you. I have been here with you since the start" he said with a worried look.

"Please tell me. So that I can help you. Don't do this alone. I'm with you. Please don't push me away" Bohai said as he looked at her with a pained expression.

Xiulin's heart clenched looking at him. She didn't know what to say. She knew once she told him there was no going back. She trusts him more than anything but she just can't tell him, she had to leave anyway. She came in between and will leave in between.

"Bohai you are overthinking. There is no such thing as that" she tried to explain with an awkward laugh.

"You don't trust me," he said as he looked at her face with a frown.

"No, I do. But I'm just sad right now about something else. It will pass. There is nothing to worry about. Okay?" she said moving closer to touch his arms as she kneeled in front of him.

"I love you. You know that right? I treasure you. Please don't do everything alone" he said as Bohai's eyes started to tear up.

Ever since the fight in the pub, she stopped spending time with him and she started changing topics. She was always tired. He wanted to help her.

"I know. Everything is fine. Things will go back to normal" she said with a sad smile.

She hugged him and patted him back.

She reassured him and escorted him to his room. She broke down as she entered her room.

"I'm sorry Bohai. I love you too…"

Xiulin searched up her server. She saved up enough money for her to leave for Russia. She already had a fake passport which she picked up while shopping today.

She didn't have much to carry with her either way. She didn't dare take anything the Jun family bought her. She looked at the bracelet in her hand. It had two charms with Bohai and Zixuan's names.

They both gave it to her in December. Xiulin's birthday. Maybe she could keep this. She wanted to keep this thing. She checked it to see if there are any tracking devices in it. She slowly removed the chip when she found it.

"I'm sorry Zixuan," she said as she threw it down and stamped it.

She checked her channels and took a bag she bought today to keep inside her laptop a photo frame she got made today. She looked back at the room and smiled.

"I'll try my best to contact you guys again. I promise" she wrote in the letter at her bedside.

She opened the window to look outside. She climbed out holding the pipe beside the window. According to her investigation, the camera was on her left. So she hacked it overlapping it with the video of which is going on.

As the house was in the city only she knew once she got out there they wouldn't be able to catch her. She climbed up the wall slowly and hid when she saw one of the security guards patrolling.

She looked at the back of the house one last time.

"Goodbye, my friends. Thank you for your kindness" she said as she smiled one last time before she started running toward the darkness.
