Chapter 8

Lily's 'tactic' didn't end just there. Few days have passed and she's still into it.

Apparently, it has become a habit.

Little that the bear know that a kiss means something completely different from what she thinks it is and its effect.

"A kiss is something that can make Jennifer not angry at Lillian!" Literally.

Emma was supposed to correct her, but she didn't. She has come to enjoy seeing her sister get embarrassed. Not really, a part of her sheer of joy was really just that she was able to do all the fun things she can do with Lily without having to hear her sister nag. Why? Because Lily is her side kick.

But they don't always get off the hook that easily. Sometimes Jennifer can be faster. You can say that she, too, got used to it.

And would do anything to avoid it.

___

Jennifer woke up feeling the warm behind her. Adjusting the light surrounding her before turning to the cat-shaped alarm clock on the wall. She can't make up what time is it as it was still kind of dark.

She stopped moving when the snuggling bear on her back her becomes tighter as she leaned a little forward to study the clock.

4:23 a.m.

"Ugh." The cat groaned, turning her attention to Lily who's hands are still on her waist. "Why do you have to move a lot." She doesn't. Lily only snuggle closer and tighter.

Jennifer pushed her away as lightly as possible, not wanting to wake the bear up. It's not that it was uncomfortable, it's just that Lily moves (cuddles) a lot and it's awkward for the cat. But she can't really do anything about it.

There's no more room in the house. Jennifer took over her parents' room while Emma retained the room she used to share with her sister back in the days when her parents are still in London.

Everytime Jennifer told Lily to just sleep on the sofa or in the sleeping bag on the floor of her room, she would eventually just 'sleepwalk' next to Jennifer and hugged her back. Lily never woke up anywhere but beside her master.

It just comes so natural.

___

"WHYYY????"

"Because I said so."

"BUT WHYYY?????"

The baby bear's cries became louder seeing the cat crossing her arms, not wanting to take her ban off the bear from her daily television time.

"NO" Jennifer insisted.

"WHYYYY????" Lily grabbed her by the edge of her shirt.

"That thing is a bad influence!" Her master pointed at the television. "I cannot let you learn any more negative thoughts!"

Lily squinted her eyes while looking up at Jennifer. She was about to pull Jennifer by the shoulders to 'calm her down', But Jennifer already knew too well. The cat just pushed the bear away, causing her to stumble down on her bottom. "AGH!"

"I know what you're doing and it won't work this time."

"Hey vhat's asll ze wuckus avout?" A wild squirtle with a slice of French toast in her mouth.

"Emma, manners." Her sister threw her a look. She then swallowed before mumbling a sorry. "What's all the ruckus abou- Why is Lily on the floor?" Emma raised a brow after turning to a whining bear who's currently facing the floor.

"JENNIFER SHAID NOHNO TO LILLIAN WATSHING THIBIII-" The bear whined loudly still facing the floor.

"Sis, you're too much..We'll be heading out to school soon and you're already like this to her.." Emma walked to Lily and held her up. The bear had tears in her eyes.

"Whatever, she can still sketch right?" her sister crossed her arms.

"NOOO!"

Emma tapped her chin for a few seconds before a light bulb appeared in her brain. "Oh! Why don't you follow us to our schools?" She chirped.

"WHAT? NO!!" Jennifer shouted in disbelief.

"School?" The bear sniffed.

"Yeah! You can see where me and jen always go during our school time!"

"Emma!!" Jennifer fumed when her younger sister ignored her.

"Oh c'mon sis! We can't just leave Lily like this alone until after school. Plus, this is just for the sake of her basic knowledge." Emma quoted in the air. "Besides, if there's an emergency, she'll know where to go!"

"No."

"I want to go!!" Lily is all smiley now.

"No."

"Aww pleasseee jen let her goooo."

"No."

"PLEASE LET LILLIAN GOO-" Lily was on her attempt again and it caught Jennifer off guard. Luckily it only landed on her cheek.

"Okay! Okay! Just... stop that!" She pushed Lily away when she felt her pout lingering on her cheeks. "Uhh."

"YAYYY!" The both squealed in unison as they head out of the door hand in hand.

The oldest groaned but a smile then crept on her face seeing the two getting along well (too well maybe).

"Yah, idiot! You forgot your bag!"

__

"Why are we here again?" The chipmunk whined when her satan friend dragged her near the school gate.

"I just have the feeling that we should wait for the grandma here." Mia said flatly.

"You're so gonna get slapped with her walking stick if she hears that."

"LOL LOOK WHO'S TALKING- Oh! Jennifer!"

Just then Jennifer arrived with a bear clinging on her.

"See what I told you." Mia grinned proudly at Isabella who frantically went running towards Lily.

"LILLIAN!!" Isabella jumped and hugged Lily which she gladly return. "BELLA!"

"What? Why are you guys here?" Jennifer frowned as Mia ruffled Lily's hair when she greeted the satan rather energetically.

"Why? Can't we wait you here and head to class together?" The satan faked a pout.

"Anyway, what is Lily doi- OH MY GOD WHAT IS LILY DOING HERE?" She gasped.

"Because Jennifer said no more magical box show for Lillian." The bear spoke, still side-hugging isabella.

"Stop." Jennifer threaten. "Emma said that I should show her the way to our respective school in case there's an emergency-"

"GENIUS." isabella pumped her fist.

"Oh no, believe me, I was in vain." Jennifer retorted.

"Then why did you agree?"

"Um.. I-" The cat fidgeted, earning a questioning look from the two.

"I-I think it's a good idea too! Who knows maybe..Uh She can pick Emma up from school if I'm running late! Yes, AHAHA-" She exclaimed stuttering and ended it up with an awkward laugh. It was a dumb move, Jennifer thought, to laugh at a statement that's not even a tiny bit funny.

Little that they know she wanted to avoid Lily being all kissy when it comes to begging. Especially to the satan. Nah, they're both the same.

"Oh! Class is about to start!" isabella said after checking the time on her phone.

Jennifer panicked a little before turning to Lisa who's still :D

"Lily, listen to me." She held her in place. "I want you to go straight back home, ok?" She waited for the bear's answer and she gave her a nod in understanding.

"Ok, good. I have to go to class now. Don't talk to strangers!" She swung her back that was loose in her hand. "I'll see you soon!"

"What are strangers?" Jennifer almost pulled her own hair out but she must not ruin her image.

"Strangers are people you don't know!"

Before she was able to run away with her besties, Lily caught her wrist. It was a scene for Isabella and Mia as Lily pecked her master on the lips.

"SHIT-"

"HOLY CHICKEN-"

Was all they were able to mutter out.

It was a quick peck that Lily was able to skip away from the gaping cat.

"Don't be angry! Goodbye!" Lily waved hyperly and bowed at the end of her sentence. It looks like she retained Jennifer's panic act as a tantrum. Yep, she's still dumb. At least, it was just a peck. And there's only a few students around them as the other were already inside, but didn't pay any attention to them.

In the end, Jennifer could no longer hide the fact about Lily's act from her satanic friends as they keep bombarding her with questions.

And they're also 5 minutes late to class.

It was all because of Lily.

And they weren't the only one witnessing the situation.

"Girlfriend?..."

____

Lily was skipping making her way home as her master told her to while whistling to a tune that she learned from watching too much Spongebob.

Observing her surrounding as she heard a constant laughter and shouting from children. There was a group of children playing basketball that made her stop skipping on her feet.

A smile crept on her face as she looks at them trying to steal an orange coloured ball (in which Lily thought it's a giant orange) from each other while trying to shoot it in a ring with a dress (it was a net, but this is Lily we're talking about)

The constant noise they made ended up with a grunt as the giant orange ball bounced to her direction. Lily picked it up.

"Hey miss!" The high-pitched shout made Lily looked at the direction of the group. A few kids were waving at her direction. She waved back. "Hello!" Now, where did she put that "Don't talk to strangers!"?

"Can you pass us the ball?!" A little boy shouted at her.

"So it's a ball? Lillian thought it was an orange" Exactly, Lily.

She turned her direction from the ball, to the group of kids, and then the net. Smiling at herself, she shoot the ball. The children were surprised as their eyes followed the ball, from the bear's angle, it was almost impossible for the ball to go into the ring.

But to their dismay, they're down to earth wrong. The ball went perfectly into the ring without bouncing back nor at least rolled around the ring before going in it.

There was a moment of silent when the ball landed and bounced on the ground, all of them turned their eyes to Lily who's pumping her fists in the air.

Amazed, they all ran to her.

"Miss! That was amazinng!!!" Lily was bombarded with compliments when they surrounded her.

"How do you do that???" The boy who first shouted at her asked. Lily eyed them one by one. They all have this sparks in their eyes.

"Personal talent!" Lily grinned from ear to ear.

"Can you teach us?" One of them asked and they all went YES PLEASE!

Lily once again disobeyed her master's orders. Yes, ORDERS.

Which are to not talk to strangers,

and to get home.

___

"See you tomorrow" Emma waved at her friend before walking to the school gate to wait for her sister to come pick her up.

But instead of waiting, she caught the sight of their baby bear grinning at her in front of their gate.

"Lily!" Emma chirped as she skipped towards Lily but only to stop half way before continue by walking. "Why are you he- Where did you get the ice cream?" Her attention went to the chocolate swirl in her hand.

Emma bewildered, scanning around only not to find her sister around.

"Tiny people bought for me!"

"Tiny... people?" The squirtle raised a brow.

"Tiny people playing a ball! Lillian thought it was a giant orange.. hehehe!" Lily giggled while scratching her nape.

"Ah, they're children, you bear!" Emma laughed at the bear's answer but it didn't last long.

"WHAT?!"

___

Lily's finished her ice cream as she shared it with Emma. Confirming that it was not poisoned, they have walked pass the court, but the children were no longer there.

"That's weird. How come I've never notice it was there?" Emma questioned herself. She just shrugged it off, and assumed that it was probably new. She rarely went the certain way anyway since it was always Jennifer who pick her up from school.

Jennifer had texted her that she's gonna be late again because she was put on duty again along with Isabella and Mia. Emma wondered why. She didn't pry further but reality is the person who is currently skipping next to her was the cause.

Since Lily's with her, she had decided to go pick her sister up together.

"Emma?" The little one's thought got cut as Lily suddenly called for her. She turned to the bear who was eyeing her figure.

"Hm?" She hummed but only to receive nothing as Lily only stared at her like something is wrong with her school uniform and her bag. "What is it?"

"Lillian..."

"What?"

"Lillian wants to go to school too."
