Chapter 13
The Kingdom of Ungale, is a, unique place. It's the capital of the center continent, and the only major city on the central continent too. It's unique because you can find all variety of people there, whether they're honest and hardworking, or the exact opposite. Everyone is welcome at Ungale, as everywhere else on the central continent, is inhabited by dense forest, filled to the brim with monsters, and not just the animal kind...
Court Jester: My King!
King: What is it Luni? And remember what I told you? Call me Tetan, we're not strangers
Luni: I could never, I'm not worthy to bear your name
Tetan: Fine fine, what is it?
Luni: The heroes are moving on the troublesome dungeon to the North, do we do anything?
Tetan: No, stay neutral for now, don't help that oaf they have up there, that dunce probably can't even see the real threat that his dungeon poses, let alone actually form a decent military force against it.
Luni: What do you mean?
*Tetan stands up from his throne, and starts walking towards the hallway*
Tetan: Come with me
*Luni follows him down the hallway. As they walk, Tetan strikes up a conversation*
Tetan: Luni, you know my power, right?
Luni: Sure I do, your holy gift from the heavens-
Tetan: This gift is anything BUT Luni...We're here
*Tetan stops at an intersection in the lower castle. He looks left, then right, and behind him, checking to make sure no one else is there*
*He then proceeds to walk up to the wall, and pushes against a brick*
*click*
*The brick goes in, and a hidden passage is revealed*
Tetan: Cmon, I have something to show you
*Tetan and Luni descend the staircase, further underground*
Tetan: You know the story of Gail the Glorious and Mal the Malevolent, correct?
Luni: How could I not? We're taught about them in school. Gail is a fearsome warrior, who's good deeds know no bounds, while Mal was an evil witch, bent on wiping out the humans. Discovering her plans, he challenges Mal to a duel, and wins. He defeated the evil witch and saved the world!
Tetan: You are wrong
Luni: But that's how the story-
Tetan: That story is merely propaganda set up by the holy churches to fool the weak.
*They arrive at an open room, lit ablaze with blue flames. There are pictures on the wall that depict a story, and in the center a stone table. It seems to look like some kind of altar*
Tetan: Let me tell you how things ACTUALLY went down
Long ago, in the dark ages, darkness ran amok around the globe. It was commonplace to lose a loved one every single day, as death numbered in the thousand, per hour. It eventually got to a point where it looked like the human race was going to go extinct. It was said a hero was summoned to help the humans during those dark times, and banish the darkness to the deepest depths of hell. The truth, the hero...was a screw up. Not knowing how things worked in our world, only caused more chaos wherever he went, thinking he had helped the people, while his solutions were only temporary, and did nothing for the long term. Mal, who was summoned with the hero, saw the damage the hero was causing, and approached him, telling him to stop. He called her useless, spineless, and a liar. He labeled her as a criminal, a threat, and she was banished. She swore that his mistakes would someday catch up to him, and they did. Unable to handle the new problems that arose, he used Mal as her scapegoat, saying she turned evil and said that the only way that things would get better, was to slay her. During the dead of night, Gail broke in to her home, planning to assassinate the lass. She had always been stronger than him, so he used her to do his job for him, then claimed the credit. Unfortunately for him, he was loud, and Mal heard him enter her house, and they fought. They fought for 3 days and 3 nights, nonstop. Then, on the final, 4th night, Gail was defeated. Unwilling to kill her old friend, she spared him. But Gail run her through with his sword. As she was taking her final breath, she cursed him, and the world. She made a prophecy that he would die a dog's death, and that in 10 thousand years, a great calamity would befall the world...A few months ago was her death day, the exact time that troublesome dungeon appeared.
Luni: So then shouldn't we help sir-
Tetan: Why should I help the spawn of that spineless coward?
Luni: What happened to Gail?
Tetan: He was raped to death by a succubus, an ugly succubus, who turned into the next Demon Lord, and became beautiful
Luni: How do you know this?
Tetan: Mal...is my ancestor. When she was banished, she fell in love, and had children. Luckily, she sent them away so that they wouldn't be killed by that candy-ass "hero"
