Necessary

Alban felt amazing. He took only one bite before he could no longer stop. The creature's mahogany blood completely obscured his face from the faint moonlight that seeped in through the hole he had made minutes ago. Sounds of squelching rang throughout the area as he ripped and chewed, the noise loud enough to strike fear into the monsters below.

The sharp look in Alban's eyes became more and more faint, before his pupils completely faded. His satisfied countenance became increasingly feral, as he still felt quite hungry. Alban started feeling discontent with the meat he was gorging on, the flesh doing little to sustain his hunger. He stood up, spat the remaining chunks of innards that sat in his mouth, and traipsed to the entryway of the excavated passage.

When Alban brought his eyes to the arena below him, he no longer saw monsters. He could no longer think about anything but satisfying his stomach as the stirring continuously beset him, his wild aura becoming one with his soul. Through starving lens that looked positively dreadful to the monsters that could see them, he looked at the livestock far underneath him. He was no longer smiling, the only expression left upon his countenance was a strong desire for food.

Alban jumped out of the slab monster's insides and headed straight for the ground feet first. As he plummeted he shot fire spheres half his size at the monster he had just ripped open, the impact enough to finally kill it. While the slab monster's body disappeared, Alban's feet had made impact on the ground.

His eager eyes scanned the quarry that awaited him, some of them agitated enough to throw themselves at his observing form. Alban struggled a bit with his manacles, but still couldn't do a thing about them. Shrugging, he wound his arms back and whirled them at the three headed horse that lunged towards him. As flesh met flesh, the horse was blown away, lacking a head as it flew back into the distance. It was a pity that Alban didn't get to taste it, but he figured the surrounding monsters were enough.

As he killed, the still silent system finally sent prompts his way. He had noticed that his level wasn't increasing at all ever since it reached fifteen, but the experience coming finally allowed movement to happen. The completely afraid monsters brought his power even higher, the activated title not limiting the amount of strength he gained from it. As he lodged his earth spiked foot, the panels finally found their way to the forefront of his vision.

Alban was over the moon and he brawled and bashed, smacked and broke, and massacred his way through the grouping of monsters. Willing away the panels that obstructed his vision, his mouth was open wide enough to let the raining viscera fall into his mouth. His whole body was a grim rainbow, the colors ranging from dusky to as light as spring. It wasn't long until there were only ten or so monsters left in the arena, all huddling away from him.

Alban's stomach no longer yowled in pain or thrashed against his abdomen. The stirring sat at a still point as he felt full, the maddening sensations no longer taking control of his body. As Alban came back to himself, his eyes cleared up enough to let him process what he had just done. The gazes of fear and awe from the crowd of monsters, the drenched footprints he carried wherever he went, all of it became engraved on his mind. Whatever humanity he had left at that point had long vanished, those were the kind of thoughts that ran through his head.

He stood there and observed his status, noting that his level had once again reached 10. He willed to the system that he would like to pass the threshold he had reached, and it replied in kind with its black panels.

"Acknowledged. The user has unlocked many classes through their actions, so only the best will be shown from an order of most applicable to least. Please make your choice.

Macabre Artist (B+)

Demented Dragon (B)

Mana Stone (B)"

Alban couldn't see the skills of any of the classes C+ and above, so he decided to just pick the highest one. After his simple choice was made, his tattoos started flashing wildly. The red fog that he had only witnessed once materialized around his body before boring into his arms. Red patterns were now engraved on his upper limbs, the tattoos reaching his wrists.

The stirring that had stopped whirled in his body violently at that moment. Alban fell to the ground in torment from the sudden pain, the sensations more intense than any he had ever felt before. His mind was eroded while he rolled around on the ground, puking out his red blood. As he vomited profusely, he saw that his blood became increasingly darker...until it became black.

Staring at it, his mind became clear. He felt a nagging memory tug itself at the back of his mind, yet he was unable to access it. He tried to search for ways to enter it, but was repelled back. Before he could attempt to enter the memory once again, his attention was absorbed by the changes happening in his body.

His mouth sputtered out the last bits of air in his crystal lungs, while he felt his hair grow until it reached the middle of his back. The hair started wiggling against the air, flowing against the breeze that sought to push it down. He felt his skin toughening as his muscles became harder, his whole entire body squirming against the confines of his form. His appearance stayed the same, however, only slightly increasing in its charm. Lastly, he felt an opening on his palm.

As he brought his hand to his face, he was met by a mouth in the middle of his palm. He felt connected with it on a mental level, though the mouth had no thoughts at all. It was clearly a part of him, but Alban thought it looked a bit...fierce. He wanted to put it away and his body complied, seeping back into his skin. Before he could become puzzled over this, the system's tinny voice rang in his mind once again. He walked to the cowering monsters as he listened.

"Congratulations, user. You have finally become a monster in the purest sense. Though you will not find many like you, as you are a rather unique existence among the monsters. Your current race is Pralet, but you may evolve further. Please pay a bit more attention to the quest function if you would like more answers to what you should do, though you do not have to."

Strangely, the voice resembled a creature with a personality when it talked. The tinny sound had completely stopped though, and so did all the sounds in the arena. All monsters apart from him in the stage were currently dead after all.
