Back in the lair, the turtles were going about their normal routine when Donnie's phone rang.
"Hello…April? Slow down, what's going on? Ok we're on it." he hung up and turned to his brothers, "We got a problem. Liz is hurt, badly, April is rushing her over here."
A while later April arrived with Liz being piggybacked the whole way then gently placed her on the couch. Gwen, who was following close behind April, rushes to her sister's side, barely holding back the tears that threaten to fall.
Leo hurries over to where Liz laid and an ugly feeling hits him like a punch in the gut, "Will she be alright?"
Gwen looks at Leo with teary eyes, "I recognize this curse.... It's a slow acting curse so we have time to find… the cure."
Raph, who was leaning on a nearby wall, asks the one question everyone is dying to ask but is too scared to ask, "So what happens if we can't find this 'cure' in time?"
Leo glares at Raph but before a fight can break out between the two, Mikey who was in his room this whole time comes into the room and just barely notices the tension in the air. He looks at Raph and Leo who are in a stare off then turns his attention to Liz who is unconscious on the couch.
"Uhhhh…. What's going on?" Mikey asked with concern in his voice.
It was then that a lock of Liz's long beautiful dark brown hair suddenly turned white as freshly fallen snow. While a look of shock and disbelief graced the turtles faces at the events unfolding, Gwen began to cry even more. Just then, Vicky and Ana came bursting into the lair.
"Damn it!" Vicky swears as she races to catch her breath, "We almost had the Bitch … but she gave us the slip."
Ana took one look at Liz and her eyes widened in sheer terror, "G-Gwen… P-Please tell me that's not the curse I think it is."
Gwen looked up at Ana with teary eyes and nodded her head. Vicky was clenching her jaw in frustration. She looked down at the ground, feeling completely hopeless in this situation. Feeling like a boiler that's about to explode from internal pressure overload, she rushed out of the lair and straight into a network of sewer tunnels. Once Vicky was sure she was far enough away from the lair, she screamed out her frustrations straight up into the air which in turn let out a strong burst of fire almost like a dragon. Once her screaming fit was done the flames died down too leaving a blackened scorched mark on the top of the sewer tunnel.
"Whoa! That is some temper." Vicky whirled around at the sound of the voice to see Raph smirking with what could only be explained as an impressed look as he leaned against the tunnel wall.
"Go away…" she huffs as she crosses her arms and averts her eye's.
"Ya' know I have experience in.... anger management." He smirks smugly as he then pushes off the wall and starts to walk over to her, "That is if ya' want my help?"
"People who try to help me usually get burnt…" She turns away from him, as if that was going to protect him from the residual heat that was still radiating off her, "your family has been kind to me and my sisters and I wouldn't want to ruin that by--"
Suddenly Raph's hand was on her shoulder, this silenced her and she tenses a bit. She turned slowly to face him and hesitantly looked up at him.
[His eyes…] she thought to herself, [their like two polished drops of crystallized amber… wait! Urgggh! Now's not the time to be lustful, my sister is in mortal peril! Get your head in the game!!!]
While she was thinking that, Raph was not so far off with his train of thought either…
[whoa, her eye's...] he thinks to himself, [I feel like they are looking right through me. Like she might be the only one who could understand me… it doesn't hurt that she's strikingly gorgeous. Hmmm, I wonder…]
Raph chuckles a bit then says, "There's no pressure, and besides…"
He leans down to her height to whisper the rest close to her ear, "I've never been afraid to play with fire before."
Her eyes grew wide at that statement and a bright blush spread across her cheeks. She quickly turns away from him to hide her face, and a rapidly spreading blush, while he straightens up and smirks knowing well the effect his words had on her. Suddenly someone cleared their throat a few feet from where Raph and Vicky were. Both of them whirl around to see Donnie standing there with Leo right next to him.
"Oh, hey guys." Raph rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Sensei wants us all in the dojo to come up with a plan to save Liz." said Donnie.
"So if you two are done flirting…" Leo looks between the two as he says this, "we have more pressing matters to tend to."
With that said Leo turned around and walked away. Raph huffs a sigh and was about to apologize for teasing Vicky the way he did… well that was his intention, until she took off down the tunnel the way Leo went. Another heavy sigh escapes him as his broad shoulders slump slightly.
"If I might inquire..." Donnie began and this earned an exasperated groan from Raph, "what the shell was going on with you?! I would strongly advise against any sort of romantic relation between you and any of the witches on the account that they are only staying till they find a way back to their own world…. Besides, odds are a broken heart is inevitable."
"Yo, Donnie." Raph urges him to come closer as if to tell him something but when he gets close Raph smacks him upside the head, "One: I didn't ask for ya' expert love advice, Second: my life, my choice, end of discussion."
With everything said that needed to be said between the two brothers they then began to head back toward the lair.
