"Ok, now remind me how it is you guys know she is this dragonion type being?" Raph asked.
Gwen lets out an agitated sigh, "For the hundredth time it's pronounced Draconian, and I did some extensive research while you two were gone… and if I were you Raph, I'd be begging for her forgiveness."
For what it was worth, Raph had the decency to look rather flustered and ashamed. He clenched his jaw in frustration as the one woman who he could actually see himself having a future with… is now running around in the sewers under New York city and pissed as hell at him. He had to explain to Vicky that he and Mona Lisa weren't a couple and haven't been for a long time. No matter how many times Mona flirts with Raph… to him it's a hollow sound from her and carries no weight.
[Damn it!] Raph thought to himself, [I got to clear this mess up. Why does everything have to be so damn complicated?]

(Meanwhile)
After her not so little outburst, Vicky decided it was best to cool off. So she took off down the sewer tunnels and tried her best to forget why she was angry in the first place. She ran and ran, but instead of feeling better she felt more confused and frustrated. The more she tried to forget the pain of betrayal, the more prominent the pain in her heart made itself known. She eventually came to a stop and when she looked at her surroundings she regretted her decision to take off into the sewers. As she got her bearings, the smell of saltwater could be smelt coming in through the tunnels. With tears pricking at the corners of her eyes, Vicky followed the scent of what appeared to be the ocean air flowing through the tunnels. Eventually she came across a sewer grate that opened up to the ocean.
It seemed like a never ending cycle for her, [What am I? Who am I? Do I have a family who is desperately out there looking for me? Will anywhere ever feel like home for me?]
She let out a sigh as she wiped away more tears that threatened to fall, "This is stupid! I shouldn't be crying… Goddess above, why did I even think… I mean, I should have known he was playing with my feelings!"
A part of her knew that it was unrealistic to want to have a boyfriend when you might have to go to your own dimension sooner or later and leave him behind.
She lets out a heavy sigh, "What am I going to do now?"
With Vicky missing the turtles called in the only two people who they could count on to help, Casey and April. They were both confused as to why they were there, so Leo had the honors of getting April and Casey up to speed.
"So in short Vicky is roaming the sewers and is in a foul mood while we have an intruder here that requires our attention otherwise we would all be out searching for her." Leo explained.
April glanced over at Raph and thought, [he has something to do with it, I just know it.]
Raph has made many mistakes in his life, but this one is by far one of the worst mistakes he's ever made. Suddenly the air around the lair shifted and crackled with an unusual energy. Donnie's gadgets flickered to life and started to make weird noises, which freaked everyone out, yet what was more concerning…. was that Ana was very still and quiet throughout all this chaos.
Liz noticed Ana's strange behavior and grew concerned, "Ana… are you ok?"
Suddenly Ana's eyes began to glow bright pink and electricity began to spark all around the lair. No one had any idea what was going on and it was terrifying. Just then a bolt of what appeared to be lightning hit Ana… and she didn't so much as flinch or make a sound.
"What the Shell is going on?!" Leo, who was perplexed, called out, "Donnie, are you making any sense of what's going on?"
Donnie, who was hiding under a table with Gwen, called back, "This is way out of my area of expertise!"
"Ana seems to be experiencing an awakening of some sorts… what kind is beyond me." Gwen called out as the air in the lair started to whip around violently.
Just then the sparks and whipping winds stopped... and everything calmed down. Then Ana's eyes stopped glowing and she collapsed to the floor. Liz was the first to reach her and what Liz saw on her arm gave her a fright. Ana was starting to grow feathers on her arms… actual bright yellow feathers.
"Gwen… I think I know what's happening, and I don't think we are going to like it." Liz cradles her little sister Ana who is unconscious at the moment with her hair all over the place since it came undone from her signature pigtails.
Gwen comes over and one look at the feathers and she knows exactly what's going on and lets out a groan of frustration, "Well at least this explains why she always had tons of energy to spare."
"Umm … does someone wanna explain to the people who are normal here?" Casey blurted out which earned him a smack upside the head from April.
"Ana is a Thunderbird, and her blood as a Thunderbird has just awakened…" Gwen sighed as she glanced at her unconscious sister with concern, "Which means she has to find a mate within the next full moon, or she won't have much of a future to look forward to."
Mikey who was watching this all go down suddenly feels a knot form in his stomach, [she's gotta be ok…. Who's gonna play video games with me and eat pizza while watching cartoons till midnight...wait...what are these feelings I'm starting to have towards her? Uh-oh…]
Leo looks over at Mikey, "Hey dude, you ok?"
Without answering Leo's question, Mikey rushed to his room and closed the door. He hurried over to a calendar he had hanging and saw that the next full moon was five days away. He knew his brothers considered him not very bright… but he was no idiot to his feelings. He knew he was falling in love with Ana and that she would die if he didn't become her mate… or something like that. Yet what he was curious about was what to get her to signify their new relationship status. Then it hit him… jewelry… she likes pink and she's a real girly girl so jewelry must be something she'd like… right?

"Later on that night""topside"
Mikey snuck topside later that night while his brothers were looking for Vicky, while the girls were watching Ana and Mona volunteered to keep watch on psycho man. Mikey had just enough money saved up to purchase a piece of jewelry that he thought would look good on Ana and would look good in her hair… plus he secretly paid the vendor so it wasn't like he stole it. He hurriedly made his way back to the lair and when he got home he saw Ana up and about.
Her long blonde hair was down and loose and her body was now completely (except for her face which was featherless) covered in bright yellow feathers with black in some places. Her baby blue eyes were nearly glowing and to Mikey she was gorgeous.
When she saw him she stopped in her tracks, "Hey Mikey…."
She appeared to be nervous and so was Mikey but he stepped forward and handed her the box that held the present he got her, "Happy mutation day Ana...I mean uh it's supposed to be like a present so… uhhh…."
She opened the gift to see a jeweled hair stick with a cherry blossom ornament on the end. Her eyes began to water with tears of happiness and she flung her arms around Mikey and gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much Mikey, it's beautiful! I'll treasure it forever."
Mikey's face grew warm as he felt that his heartbeat was beating faster... he knew at this point he was way past cute crushes and was deep in love with this girl.
