David immediately ran back home. He went straight to his room, changed his shirt, took his car keys and left. He saw Kenji parked his car as he ran to his.
"Where are you going?" Kenji asked.
"Christine's."
Kenji scrunched his forehead and remembered Joe and their basketball tradition, "Where's Joe?"
"At the courts…" he said immediately and started his engine. He drove his car without saying goodbye to his cousin.
Meanwhile, Kenji watched as his cousin drove away. 'What happened?' He looked at his watch: 6pm. 'It has only been an hour since they began playing basketball.' He looked at the direction of the basketball courts.
Should he go to Joe? He sighed. He was somewhat worried. "Maybe, I'm worrying too much… I'll just wait for her," he told himself and walked to the mansion. After reaching his room, he changed his clothes and walked down the living room. He saw the grand piano. He massaged his hands and sat down. After a minute, the room was filled with the sound of melody: Mozart's Piano Sonata 11.

David took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell. No one was answering. He pushed the button once more. It rang. No one answered the door. He rang it once more… this time, he did not stop.
"Geez… Wait!" he heard someone call out, and the door was opened. It was one of Christine's friends.
"Is Christine there?" he asked immediately.
"Who's that?" Christine asked while walking to the door and stopped after seeing David. She quickly fixed her hair with her fingers.
"Can we talk?" he asked again… this time his eyes were on Christine.
Christine's heart began to beat faster. She does not know what to say.
"Christine… he wanted to talk to you…" Rachel said and snapped her fingers at Christine's face.
Christine nodded.
"I'll wait for you in the car," he said and walked back to his car.
Christine took a deep breath and followed soon after. The roof of David's convertible was down so she could see him. She walked towards him. "What do you want?" she managed to ask.
"Get in," David said or ordered. She narrowed her eyes at his tone. He sighed, "Please…"
Christine opened the door and sat down. After she closed the door, David started the engine. Christine immediately put her seatbelt on and they drove away. David drove the car until they reached the seashore.
David looked at her, "Come down for a sec?" he asked and stepped down the car.
Christine did the same. David began to walk. Christine scrunched her forehead, "Are you going to leave me here?" she called.
David turned around and smiled, "Walk with me."
Christine smiled back, "Okay."
They started to walk side-by-side.
"What's going on?" she asked.
"Why were you on a date yesterday?" he asked instead.
Christine chuckled, "I guess because I'm that beautiful. So technically, I get asked out a lot."
David looked at her, "Do you like him?"
Christine smirked, "He's not that bad. He is actually quite hot and has a great potential to be boyfriend material."
"Am I boyfriend material?" David stopped walking and asked.
Christine stopped too and looked up. She sighed, "I don't know…"
"Why?"
Christine looked at him and scrunched her forehead, "Why what?"
"Why don't you know?"
Christine shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know…"
"Do you like that guy?"
"He's cool…"
"Do you like him?"
"Well…"
"Do you like him?"
Christine sighed, "No."
"Why did you go out with him then?"
Christine grimaced, "Why are you asking me so many questions?"
"I want to know."
"My friends set it up."
"Why?"
Christine closed her eyes and sighed exasperatingly, "Because you don't like me."
"Did I tell you I don't like you?"
Christine looked at him, "You want to get rid of me. You don't tell me you like me."
David looked away.
Christine crossed her arms.
David sighed and looked back at her, "I like you."
Christine looked at him, "Huh?"
"You heard me."
"What?"
"Don't make me say it again."
Christine looked down, "I'm so confused."
David lifted her chin up, "Why?"
"Did I hear you right? Did you just say you like me?"
David chuckled and nodded.
"Since when?" she asked disbelievingly.
David let go and looked up. He turned towards the sea and mumbled, "Since that day you kidnapped me."
Christine heard it and she chuckled as well. But, she put her hands on her hips to tease him, "What?"
David looked at her and narrowed his eyes adoringly, "Since that day you kidnapped me."
Christine smiled. Her heart was overflowing with joy.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" David asked.
Christine lightly tapped her cheeks.
David's forehead creased. "What are you doing?"
"I'm making sure I'm not dreaming," she answered.
David chuckled, "You're so cute and you're not dreaming."
Christine looked at him again with a smile not leaving her face, "Hug me?"
David smiled and obliged, "Is this a yes?"
"It's more than just a yes. I love you, David Ji."
David hugged her tightly in response. 'Wherever you are Joe, thanks a lot.' He was beyond happy.

Kenji stopped playing the piano after hearing the door open. It was Joe holding the basketball in her arms. He quickly looked at the wall clock. It was 8 o'clock already. "You're back so late. David came earlier… two hours ago and rushed to Christine's place."
Joe sighed and gave him a smile, "I lost track of the time. I was having so much fun."
Kenji nodded, "Did you eat dinner yet?"
Joe smiled again, "I'm really not that hungry."
"Have you eaten though?" he asked worriedly.
"What are you doing?" she diverted the topic.
"Playing the piano."
Joe nodded, "Can you play me a song?"
Kenji looked at her worriedly, "Are you okay?"
Joe chuckled, "Of course I am silly. I just want to hear some music and you say that once music chooses you whatever you do… whoever you think you are… it will never leave you."
Kenji smiled, "Okay then." He turned to the piano, sat down and continued playing what he was playing before.
Joe walked closer to him. The music kept on playing. 'He likes her… He misses her… He likes Christine… I lost him…'
Kenji felt her presence nearing. He stopped playing, stood up and was about to turn to her when she stopped him, "Don't look."
He was worried. "What is going on, Joe?" he felt Joe rested her forehead on his back.
"Nothing… just don't look, Okay?" she uttered softly.
Kenji closed his eyes and nodded. He let her rest. 'What happened?' he wanted to ask but did not voice out.
'David, I love you…' she thought but did not say. Tears trickled down from her eyes yet again.
