Heartfelt talk

"Just because you don't understand what's going on... doesn't mean you should act rebellious" Charm's mum scolded.

"And who said I was acting rebellious mum?"... Standing up from the chair....charm tried to walk out...but her step Dad stopped her as she tried to walk past him. "Your actions and words seem to be contradicting themselves... sweetheart.." giving a loud sigh...charm turned to face her mum. "okay fine....am sorry...Now what's going on?...I get why Christian came over...but what's more puzzle like is the fact that you all look threatened by his arrival...so what's going on?"

Ofcourse they didn't answer her...Linda lowered her eyes..."Charm the most important thing is that you are safe....and that's all that matters... please stay away from Christian".

Infuriated... Charm moved up to her room banging the door behind her.

She told Trisha about Everything the next day..

"Well that's sad ...but...Are you okay?"..

Trish asked her as the walked on the pavement to school...

"Well ...I guess I have to live in the dark for awhile...or I could just get the truth from Christian"

Trisha's eyes widened..."Charm your parents warned you to stay away from him..."

She rolled her eyes..."I just want to ask him a question"

Later that day she saw Mr Simon at the students Library. Watching him as he intensively...read a particular book...It's covers were weirdly designed in gold paint and ancient drawings....Charm could have sworn that she had never seen a book like that before. Taking all she could with her she approached him. "Good day Mr Simon" he looked up at her for only a second then went back to his reading. While replying in a rude manner. "What do you want Miss Smith"

She smiled...at him like she was really happy too happy to even notice that he obviously didn't want her there.

"Sir what could you be doing in the students Library..?."

"Am one of... supervisors to this reading facility So I have a right to be here" as he spoke the book bent over alittle and she could see that he was reading about celestials.

She tried Playing smart, Cause an inner voice told her that he was researching on Rache. "You know...it's hard to understand the ways of gods and goddesses....they are predictably unpredictable"

Surprisingly he added up..." One astonishing thing is the more we tend to believe in one...we have to go more than an extra mile to know everything about them...their likes and dislikes...what the want from us mortals and what we should expect from them" Simon adjusted his glasses...and closed the weird looking book, now facing Charm he continued much to Charming's amazement.

"Back then in the past...I rather not established that as a mythical story cause I have seen a mythical creature in this time and age....when ever a mortal or nymph or human what ever we were called in those magical times...." She cut him short." Let's just say human"

Nodding he continued " whenever humans called or rather cried on a particular god or goddess for help he or she was immediately answered...if you read certain Roman or Greek mythologies you would see that...but it's not that The gods don't look at the content of the heart before obeying the humans ..rather driven by whatever drives gods they looked at the level of a person's belief in them...so in other to find a reasonable output..the belief first must be established...else the god won't be more powerful..."

Charm reasoned " so for a god or goddess to be more effective...a person's belief in them must be established?"

He smiled "exactly..." Realizing himself a few seconds later...he stood up abruptly.." you should be in your class.." and before she could reply Mr Simon had already left.
