(Alexander’s POV)
I ran a hand through my hair as I looked over paperwork in my home office. I leaned back in my chair, shutting my eyes and inhaling deeply. There was so much going on, so many things that I had to do and that I had to think about. My phone vibrated on my desk and I picked it up to see that I had gotten a text.
Victoria: Where are you? You were supposed to be here an hour ago for the wedding dress fitting.
Crap, I had forgotten about that. I had been so busy with paperwork that I had forgotten to tell her that I wasn’t going to be able to make it.
Me: Sorry got caught up with work.
It wasn’t like I even wanted to go in the first place. I was only marrying her because I didn’t see that I had any other choice.
Victoria: That’s fine, I picked out a dress on my own. I just wanted to let you know that I’m heading your way now.
