Chapter 9: More Misunderstandings

With Cain gone, Calix let out a breath of relief. His face can't help but turn red from embarrassment

Based on how Klein acted towards him earlier, Calix felt like he was a big fool. Klein's anger was genuine and the guy didn't even give him the slightest bit of face

It seems like everything was Calix's fault. He became too conceited and thought that Klein likes him

"You forgot the most important one!" Klein said while rolling his eyes. This woman didn't forget to be sarcastic but she forgot the number 1 thing that Klein wants in a guy

Hearing that, Shane's eyes and mouth widened. She even hit her own forehead before speaking again

"The number 1 rule and most important one, he must be gay!" Klein nodded his head in satisfaction at that

"I only like gay guys. Why would I like someone that is straight and hurt myself in the process? I don't think I have the power to turn 'real straight guys' bent nor do I want to give people an identity crisis"

If there is one thing that Klein doesn't understand it's the allure that 'straight guys' have to a lot of gays

Klein rolled his eyes at that. "Yeah, I felt something and that is anger"

"Why are you too invested in my love life? Why don't you go and work hard to find yourself a boyfriend?" Klein asked in helplessness

"Klein, who am I?"

"My life is not as colorful as you are thinking. There are no childhood lovers nor a guy that gave me a trauma. My life is quite boring and dull, okay?"

"Argh, then why? Don't you want to date someone?"

"I do of course"

Shane heavily grabs Klein's shoulders causing the bag of bread and bottles drink from the guy's hand to almost fell to the ground

Klein can only let out a deep sigh at that. Since he won't be able to escape without satisfying this annoying girl, Klein can only compromise

"I'm afraid of getting hurt, okay?!" Klein said through gritted teeth and his ears even reddened from embarrassment

"You're annoying, just take this and give it to that guy. Tell him I'm sorry!" Klein said angrily and shoved the food and drink into Shane's hand before running away leaving the dumbfounded Shane alone

"That jerk that likes to always present a strong side actually has such a fragile side" Shane said to herself with a chuckle before opening the infirmary door

The Imperial Court Roleplay causes Calix's expression to darken but Shane's eyes just glowed brighter because of that

"I won't take it" Calix grumbled but Shane of course wouldn't easily give up
