Chapter 16: Liam's Savior

"H-hey w-wait aww!" Liam can't even finish his words as his face slammed on Tristan's back

The tall guy was currently running much faster than Liam's speed. Liam felt like a towel hanging in Tristan's shoulder

The more that Tristan runs, the more the 'towel' was swaying back and forth. Liam immediately felt dizzy because of that and his vision is now spinning violently

"M-mercy!" Liam shouted pitifully. He would rather get beaten up by Klein than have his brain turned into scrambled eggs

Fortunately, Tristan finally sensed his discomfort and the guy easily changed Liam's position

Liam is now in Tristan's arms in a princess carry style. It looks as if Tristan was only carrying a baby due to the way he is carrying Liam with ease

"Why is he so light?" Tristan thought in his mind while running as fast as he can

When Liam finally recovered a bit, he realized what kind of position he was in and he blinks his eyes repeatedly

"Woah, am I a novel protagonist? Princess carry right off the bat?" Liam asked himself in amazement before his face turned pale

Earlier, he was too dizzy to care but now that he recovered, he remembered that he is not that good with heights

Although he was not that too high, Tristan is still too tall! Liam is afraid that he'll fall from the man's arm and he anxiously wrapped his arms in the man's neck

Tristan's body stiffened a bit at that but he still continued running until they can't see Klein anymore

"Umm... you can put me down, now?" Liam said with a bit of a questioning tone as it seems like Tristan don't have plans on letting him down although Klein cannot be seen anymore

Tristan's mind returned to reality and he realizes that Liam is not a small rabbit in his arm

While feeling that it was a pity, Tristan gently put Liam on a bench as if the guy was a fragile glass that can break from the slightest bit of force

Although it wasn't Liam that runs for a long time, he still spread his body into the bench as if he just did a marathon

An image of a rabbit spreading its limbs in a grassland entered Tristan's mind as he stared at Liam without saying anything

Sensing Tristan's gaze, Liam cough a bit and he pats the seat next to him with a red face

"A-are you tired? Seat here!"

Tristan didn't say anything and just sat next to Liam that was looking at him with grateful eyes

"Anyway, thanks for the big help! If not for you, I might be sent into a hospital today!" Towards the end, Liam even shuddered a bit

Don't think that Klein is a weak guy that the wind can carry away! That guy can literally beat up grown-up men much less Liam that don't have much muscles

Tristan just nodded his head as an answer causing Liam to pout

"Fine, I know that your words are made from gold!" Liam said while shaking his head. He just took a handkerchief from his pocket and starts busying himself by wiping the sweat in Tristan's face

"Woah, you're not even panting. How can you be so strong?" Liam asked in amazement, not really expecting an answer but unexpectedly, Tristan did answer

"Swimming" Tristan shortly replied and Liam nod his head at that

"You tall guys are really amazing, you run fast and you also know how to swim while I can't even float!"

Liam felt like the world is really unfair. How can other people have so many blessings at once?

Liam forgot what he was currently doing. He was literally speaking while his face was so close to Tristan

Thus, Liam's breath was brushing Tristan's cheeks that cause the latter to turn red

Liam didn't think much about it though. He just thought that Tristan's cheeks were flushed since he ran earlier

When he was done, Liam used the other side of the handkerchief to also wipe the sweat in his own face

Tristan watched him do that while repeatedly blinking his eyes

If there is an indirect kiss, there should also be an indirect face to face, right?

After some time, Liam was done wiping his self and he felt kind of thirsty. However, despite running for a short time, his legs were still aching

Curse the people that can exercise!

Liam wants to drink or eat something cold but he is too lazy to stand. Thankfully, a tall and strong guy is with him

"As a token of my appreciation, let me treat you today!" Liam said generously but Tristan shook his head

"No need"

'His voice really sounds nice, is it because he rarely talks? Should I try not to talk for a whole day? Nah, I can't do that' Liam thought in his mind

"Come on, don't be like that. I really want to treat you, please? Please? Please?"

In Tristan's eyes, Liam was enlarging his teary eyes while pouting. He looks like a cute rabbit trying to beg for something

Tristan wants to refuse since he still needs to recover the folder he dropped earlier but his heart can't reject such a cute rabbit

In the end, Tristan was defeated and he can only nod his head to agree

Seeing that, Liam's face beamed with a sweet smile before looking shyly at Tristan

"B-but... my legs still hurt. S-since you are so strong, can you carry me?" Liam asked hopefully

The University is too big. Even the nearest canteen is already far from here. Liam felt like he would die if he walks in there with his little aching limbs

One must not overestimate the physical strength of a person that never does any exercise and was just always eating and sleeping when at home!

Liam's request is not hard to accept since he is light, too light

Tristan stood up from his seat with his back facing Liam

Seeing that, the little guy's eyes lit up. A piggyback ride is surely more comfortable than turning into a hanging towel or being in a princess carry style

Liam happily hopped on Tristan's back while grabbing the latter's clothes. However, Liam felt bad as he is wrinkling his savior's clothes

In the end, Liam just wrapped his arm in Tristan's neck again. Well, who cares? They are both men here so it doesn't matter

When Liam is finally ready, Tristan stood up and starts walking towards the nearest canteen

This scenario reminded Liam of his childhood. His father would also carry him like this as they played

It felt so nostalgic that Liam kind of misses home. As a result, he hugs Tristan tighter than before while resting his chin on the man's shoulder

Tristan's body stiffened at that and he momentarily stops walking

"What's wrong? Are you tired?" Liam innocently asked while feeling bad. No matter how short he is, he is still an adult already. How can it be easy for someone to carry him?

"No" Tristan replied before walking again, ignoring his insides that were stirred by Liam's action

Liam was about to ask again when something distracted him. Due to their close proximity, Liam can smell a nice scent coming from Tristan and he unconsciously turned into a sniffing dog

Tristan's body once again stiffened and Liam didn't notice that the man's ears were already red from so much embarrassment

Tristan is worried that he smelled bad especially since he sweated from running earlier

The two have a world of their own, not noticing the strange looks the people around were giving to them

After all, it's not like a scene like this happened every day

This makes some girls feel giddy while others felt bad

Those that are giddy felt like Tristan and Liam are cute and they suited each other. They are a shipping material that they discovered

As for those that felt bad, they are the ones that were in despair. Why are all the good-looking guys together?

Can't they leave some for the girls? Why do they need to like each other?

These girls want to cry but no tears were coming out

The poor Tristan was 'bullied' until they reach the canteen. There were not that many people inside but those people still gave them strange looks

Tristan was as silent as before while Liam didn't notice them

"Finally, we are here!" Liam said in relief as if he wasn't carried here

When Liam was down again, he immediately dragged Tristan to the area where they sell ice cream

Liam took a vanilla-flavored popsicle before turning to look at Tristan. "What flavor do you want?"

Tristan doesn't really like sweets and he just chose the same flavor as Liam

The two bought the ice cream before sitting down in one of the chairs

Liam happily tear the packaging and starts licking the icecream

Tristan that was in front of him froze as he felt like there is something wrong with the current scene in front of him
