The portal

Inside the king's palace.

"Father, I trained enough soldiers, it's time we attack Byzen."

The king was still hesitant to give him full political power, and taking over the enemy kingdom will seal the deal.

King Desmond was speechless. This prince was too bold, it was his greatest ambition to once and for all defeat the Byzens.

"We need to act fast before they can regroup."

That was the trigger and pulled out the king from what he was thinking.

"Alright," He cleared his voice.

"Quickly make a declaration." He ordered his secretaries.

Few spies from Byzen quickly ran out from the palace and made their way back home.

Liz was already waiting for her at the stone platform. She looked uneasy, walked to and fro. She saw Isabel and rushed to meet her.

"Did you bring the globe?"

Isabel raised her hands to show it to her.

"Good, come hurry, this body can't contain my soul any longer."

She dragged Isabel to the center of the circle.

"What do you mean, the body can't contain the spirit?"

She has been through a lot of supernatural that her mind was overloaded and she didn't want to think too much.

"That means she is possessing a body against's the owner's free will." Helen popped out from nowhere.

"I don't need you to meddle things I must do, Meyhelena." She scoffed at Helen.

Isabel's jaw dropped. With all the horror movies she watched before, she didn't know what to feel right now.

"I'm not here to stop you. I just want you to know that it's dangerous and I hope you know what you are doing." Helena plunged a whole flask of wine into her mouth after saying that to Liz.

Liz froze for a few seconds and responded,

"They left me with no choice, Helen. I just wanted my son to be safe and get what he deserved in this world."

Her tears sprawled on her face. Isabel never saw someone so desperate, more desperate than her wanting to live.

"Well, then good luck, and make sure that the new guardian can safely come back." Shove more wine in her throat and left.

"Come, I have little time left." Liz's face was a mess, but maybe she didn't care because it's not her body.

"Stay in the middle and hold the globe, never drop it no matter what, it might burn your hand a little."

Everything that happened made Isabel speechless.

"I know it confused you a bit. Helen is not a seer but I am, so I have some bits and pieces of what will happen in the future."

She stepped closer to the highest stone and rad the inscriptions aloud.

From where she was standing, Isabel felt an invisible force bounded her. The globe did not burn her hand it pierce through her palms that pain is not even a description. She wanted to scream, but the force was preventing her from doing so.

She witnessed the characters from the stone lit up, and the platform twirled fast. Everything around her slowly disappeared.

"Convince the chosen one to take his inheritance!" She can still hear Liz's voice, but her spirit, but the globe, sucked her spirit inside.

Then she looked around. She was finally in Novalia.

"Yes!" she shouted merrily.

But she's in the middle of nowhere, and it's also night. All she had with her was the lifeless globe.

"Right." Her happiness quickly decrepitated.

She squatted, trying to think what she would do.

"Let's not blame our stupidity." But she was pounding her head with the crystal globe.

"We can't damn panic. Hey Liz, are you there? please tell me what to do?"

She kept on trying to calm herself down, but it's not working.

She tried adjusting her eyes in the darkness, but she couldn't see anything, even her own hands. No moon and the stars were too far away to provide at least a flicker of light.

The ground shook.

"Oh god! please don't let the earth swallow me, not now." She prayed. She didn't know about the calamities of this world yet.

Seconds have passed what seemed to be an endless darkness a torch was floating from afar. She was overjoyed.

"Here! please!" She tried to catch their attention.

Luckily, they heard her. They curiously stopped in front of her. Large hooves of horses approached her.

"Why are you here in the middle of nowhere?" The leader of the horsemen asked her.

"I am Isabel, crowned princess of Novalia, Prince Hashim's wife. Novalia will reward you if you can bring me back right now."

All of them gawked at her.

"Take her!" Their leader shouted.

They were burly men, so she forgave them for grabbing her harshly.

They travel far and wide, so the portal is really far from Novalia? She was so tired and really wanted to close her eyes, but these idiots were too harsh and didn't once look back if she's still with them.

Maybe they're not Novalian.

The hell! these men were not Novalian indeed. Because the city they brought her was the enemy's capital.

She heard them talking about Sosalie. So that was Byzen's capital city.

She was waiting for them to slow down, but it didn't happen. Jumping off was not a good idea. As they drew closer and closer to the king's palace, she can see the structure clearly.

It was far from elegant compared to Novalia's palace. It was a dome made of iron.

It was a clever design; she thought.

They finally slowed down, but before she can think of jumping, they captured her right away.

"Let me go!" She learned basic self defense from her dad, which was in the navy.

She poked one of the horseman's eyes, stepped kick someone's shin and step on someone's foot.

"You stupid people, do you know what punishment will you get when Hashim knew what were you doing with his wife?"

They looked at gawked at each other.

"Take the princess to Prince Khalid."

The only person who seemed rational was the leader.

"Hey wait! tell me how much do you need? I'll have the Novalia arrange it for you."

She tried to negotiate with the leader.

"What Byzen need? how about prince Hashim's head?"

Oops! they hated Hash too much?

Prince Khalid is drop-dead gorgeous. He wore a typical Arab garb. He had perfect ocean blue eyes. Lips too red for a male, arrogant nose that complimented his entire look, which emanated his royal lineage.

He had an instant crush on this man, but of course, it's like having a crush on a member of BTS.
