Meeting the In-laws

She left the mansion at seven in the evening; there was approximately two minutes' travel time since they're on a carriage.

"Good evening Princes! His highness King Desmond is waiting in his office."

She curtseyed. She was not sure if that's the correct thing to do, but the palace maid didn't look like she's bothered.

They led her to the far end of a corridor that was beautifully decorated with golden sphinxes. The pillars are red with embossed writings. It intrigued her, but there would be a right time for that.

The first thing she noticed when she entered the king's office was the enormous map on the wall. It was similar to the twentieth-century world map, but has different names and boundaries.
