Humans empowered by the enlightened energy of which the source remained unknown but they enjoyed the benefits. The energy had granted them super human abilities and things was going smoothly except for the battles against soul reapers but the balanced was toppled with Quill's introduction to the enlightened world as he was tagged a being that's not meant to exist and to what extent will his presence affect the whole system.
