Friends?

Katsuki didn't alter the way he was examining at Ochaco. He still glared as he waited for her to speak up. Mina continued to softy run his back, trying to still soothe the aching blonde.

"What did he suppose?" Ashido asked, trying to calm the angry energy filling the room.

"He said that recovery girl was done with him, and you could go ensure him," The brunette said, jealousy skimming her tone ever so gently.

"You can go," Katsuki hummed, his body beginning to relax.

Ochaco vacated the room, leaving the two friends by themselves. Mina hummed and withdrew her arm from around the blonde, trying to come up with something worthy to state. 'Come on, Ash. He needs you; think of something. He needs to go.'

"Kat, go see him. I'll walk with you if you want. I know you're nervous about it, but he's probably not going to get any better, so you should just go see him."

"I know, I just need a minute, alone."

Ashido hesitantly got up, looking over her shoulder. Katsuki looked down at the spot she had previously sat. Mina gathered her courage and left, the door gently clicking.

--------------------------------

Bakugo got up, his legs still shaking from his fear. 'Would Izuku even want to see him? Would Midoriya be okay? Would he even tell Katsuki who this person was?' Bakugou shook his head and tried to walk to his door.

The way his body was twitching out of control, and his brain was still racing. The blonde hastily made his way down the hallway, clutching his shorts.

He knew people were watching him as he left the dorms. He knew people were questioning why he was going. He knew people were calling out to him but, he ignored them all.

Mina ran up to him, grabbing the ladder's arm," Kats are you going."

Bakugo sighed and turned toward his friend," Yeah, I'm going," he spat, with no seriousness in his tone.

"Okay, I'm coming with you."

"No-"

"You don't have a choice."

"Fine."

--------------------------------

The door began to get closer and closer to the two walkers. Katsuki's body began to shake once more. Ashido rubbed his back and gave him a gentle push.

"This is as far as I'm gonna go with you. I'll still be here when you get back, but I can't hold your hand."

Katsuki shook his head in understanding. He entered the nurse's office Recovery girl sat at her desk, typing something on the computer, and in the bed to her left sat Izuku.

The greenette sat with his knees pulled up to his chest as he watched something. 'He really hasn't changed.' Izuku sat up, and the two made eye contact.

Midoriya smiled, his eyes closing and the soft crinkles of his cheeks crushing his freckles. Katsuki felt his heart skip a beat as he looked at the sick person in the room. Bakugou couldn't place this feeling. He had known it before but, it had been so long.

--------------------------------

"Kacchan no fair! Give me a turn!" Izuku whined, crossing his arms and pouting.

"Come get it," Katsuki teased.

Midoriya ran after the blonde, trying to get the ball that they were playing with. Their mothers sat on a bench not too far away, chatting over something. The coffee they had steamed from the warmth.

Izuku tripped and fell face-first into the mulch, making his friend stop in his tracks. Izuku sat up, wiping the mulch from his face. The greenette hadn't noticed the thick blood pooling at the crease of his lip. Midoriya cocked his head at the sight of the terrified blonde. He smiled at his friend only to feel the blood trickle past his lips and down his chin.

The pain kicked in, and Izuku's hands shot up to his nose. Bakugou dropped the ball and ran over to his friend. The painful ting at his heartstrings made him worry more. Katsuki called for his mother as he grabbed one of Izuku's bloody hands. 'You shouldn't have made him chase after me.'

--------------------------------

Bakugou shook his head at the stupid memory. He didn't want to remember the simple friendship they had as children. Katsuki wanted to hate him. He needed to hate Izuku so bad, but...

He couldn't. He couldn't hate the stupid freckled male.

"Kacchan, are you gonna come in and say hi? Or are you just gonna stand there?" Midoriya teased, his voice still slightly coarse.

Bakugo looked away from Izuku as he walked into the room. He couldn't bear to make eye contact again. 'Why did I decide to come to visit again.' Katsuki sat on the edge of the bed, his mind still racing.

"Kacchan, come here," Izuku held out his arms.

Bakugou moved closer begrudgingly. Izuku took the blonde's head and began combing through his golden locks. Katsuki leaned into Midoriya's gentle touch.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"For what?"

"I don't know... everything. I- I just feel like you needed to know. I've wanted to apologize for so long. I know you can never forgive me, but-"

"Kacchan, I forgave you a long time ago."

Katsuki whipped his head around, his tears barely tipping over his water line. Midoriya sat with the same teary-eyed expression Bakugou had seen and caused on too many times. Both tried to speak, but words never left either's lips. The emotional reconnection practically melted the walls, leaving the two males and the bed floating. The room seemed to triple in size as the two were lost in one another.

Bakugo leaned in, shattering the illusion of the galaxy they seemed to be lost in together. Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku, nuzzling his face into the greenettes shoulder.

"You're an idiot," The blonde whispered, his grasp on Midoriya never loosening.

"Yeah, well, one of us had to be the dumb one," Izuku muttered back, shoving his face in Bakugou's hair.
