IDFYL 17 : Little Attention From Ardian

Then Abim lifted his head, he looked at his three friends who were also looking at him. "Umm, looks like Ardian really can't make it here." Abim said.

"Why?" Ask Dinda.

"Nadira fainted at the office. And now Ardian is accompanying Dira at the hospital. He is also with Dira's older brother there." Abim said explaining the reason why Ardian couldn't come to the three people in front of him.

The two heads in front of Abim both wore shocked faces. However, only Karina was flat-faced and didn't like hearing the news.

"Nadira is the admin replacement in our division, Abim. She's probably only been working for a month. I think she's been working too hard lately. It's only natural that she's now sick." Said Dinda who felt sympathy.

Abim and Akbar nodded in understanding.

"Then do we need to go to the hospital too to find out how Nadira is doing?" Ask Abim.

But no one answered Abhi's question.

Dinda looked at Akbar. But Akbar looked at Karina's expression. The atmosphere at the table became a little awkward.

But unexpectedly, it turned out that Karina was the one who answered Abim's question.

"No need to go there." Karina said. "Dira must have just fainted for a while because of a fever. It's not a serious illness. We're still here even without Ardian's presence. Our purpose here was also to gather together."

Hearing Karian's words, the other three pairs of eyes looked at each other.

Abim, Dinda, and Akbar could feel Karina's tone was a little curt and sounded unconcerned. In fact, Abim only meant well earlier. After all, Nadira had already joined their group of friends. What's wrong with going to the hospital for a while?

Then Akbar cleared his throat slowly then gave a friendly smile. "Hahahaha never mind.. don't be too serious. We're just having fun and talking to each other as usual. Besides, at the office it happened that only Nadira and Ardian were working overtime. Ardian wasn't wrong. He was just helping a woman who fainted from illness." Akbar said.

Dinda nodded in agreement with Akbar's opinion. "Yes, that's true. Let's just eat now. My stomach is very hungry. Don't think about it. Besides, Ardian will definitely give more information later in the group chat."

Abim also nodded. But Karina was normal and kept quiet. The woman only focused on eating the french fries which tasted a bit salty.

While in the hospital. Now to be precise in the emergency department. Nadira's body was already lying on a gurney and her left hand had an IV inserted.

Ardian sat on a chair facing the gurney. The curtain that surrounds Nadira's gurney is currently being closed so that Dira can sleep in peace.

Meanwhile, Rendra is taking care of the administration at the hospital reception.

Ardian has been sitting quietly for ten minutes watching Dira who hasn't woken up from his stupor. The man occasionally also observed the dripping IV fluid slowly.

The infusion fluid also serves to reduce fever and dehydration in Dira's body.

Ardian also occasionally checks Nadira's body temperature on the girl's forehead with the back of his right hand. Nadira's fever temperature dropped rapidly after getting good treatment.

Slowly, the finger of Nadira's left hand moved slowly. Ardian clearly saw the activity.

"Dira? Can you hear me?" Adrien asked quietly. The man stood up from his seat and spoke very closely to Dira.

Dira opened her eyes. Her vision was a little blurry and her head still felt dizzy. The girl grimaced because her whole body felt sore like she had just been beaten.

"Dira?"

The soft call sounded clear in Dira's ears. And finally, the girl could open her eyes perfectly.

Dira could clearly see that now Ardian was accompanying her. And she also knew where she was now. The white hospital ceiling was able to recognize Dira quickly. Moreover, the smell of drugs is very clearly wafted in his nose.

"My head is very dizzy." Dira said slowly. Her voice still sounded a little weak.

Ardian nodded and gently hugged Dira's left arm. "It's okay. Don't get up yet, you have to stay down until you feel better. I'll call the doctor." Ardian said.

It didn't take long, the female doctor who had examined Dira arrived after Ardian called her.

The doctor said that Dira's condition had improved and there was no need to worry. Dira just had a normal fever that started with a mild flu. The doctor only advised Dira to rest for a day or two at home.

Because if she are forced to work, she may experience typhus. High fever like Dira now accompanied by nausea and a little aches in her body are mild symptoms of typhoid.

"I'll prescribe some medicine for you later. Remain lying down until your IV runs out. You can also drink warm drinks and soft-textured foods." The doctor said.

She just smiled and nodded. "Yes, I understand. Thank you, doctor."

The doctor just nodded and left Dira again. She had to go to another patient's gurney.

"Isn't it too dizzy already?" Ask Adrian.

"Still a little dizzy. Did you bring me here?"

"Yes. But I called your brother using your cell phone. We brought you here."

"Then where is Rendra now?"

Asked so, Ardian shook his head. "Earlier he just told me that he would take care of the administration at the hospital reception. But why has it taken so long until now."

"Ah, then leave him alone."

"Maybe he's buying you something, Dira. Or maybe Rendra is also taking your medicine at the pharmacy." Ardian said.

"Hmm, maybe it is. Thanks again, Ardian. You've helped me."

Ardian smiled sweetly and sat back in his chair. "It's okay, Dira. When I came down and headed to the lobby earlier, I saw that your room was still light. And I just understood that you were also late. I'm sorry, I only had time to read your message when I had just finished with my work."

"Ah, it's okay. We're both busy." Dira said.

"You passed out on your own desk. I panicked. It turned out that your phone was unlocked. So I immediately called Rendra to come pick you up. Are you feeling better now?"

"Hm, sure. Ah, how about your dinner? Shouldn't you be at the cafe with the four of them?" Asked Dira who felt a little panicked.

"Hahaha calm down.. I'm not there tonight. I already told them that I was helping you and accompanying you in the hospital."

Dira felt bad about it. "Would anyone be upset if you weren't there?"

"Of course not. How could they be angry. Right now the four of them are probably busy chatting and eating." Ardian said with an amused chuckle.

And when she heard Adrian say that, Nadira smiled. The girl's feelings warmed up and her cheeks were a little red. Did Ardian pay attention to her?
