CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE ~Chanel

We get to the house and while Siobhan goes to get an item belonging to my mother, I line up the domestic staff for questioning. Apparently, no one seemed to have even noticed my mother wasn't in the house. He must possess the power of invincibility. With black magic, many things are possible. I rush up to my room after dismissing the staffs and get ready to perform the spell.  I place my hand on different items in her room to see if I can get a memory of what happened, but nothing. The demon did good in erasing his tracks. Spreading a comprehensive yet wide map of New Orleans on the ground, I sit behind it, legs crossed. Siobhan had gotten my mom's hair that was in her hairbrush, so I place it on the map and with a sharp pocketknife, I slice through my palm in a small cut and let my blood drop on the map.
