CHAPTER FOURTY-TWO ~Chanel

My body hurts so bad like I just finished walking a million miles. I feel sore all over even though I just woke up from sleep. This has been happening for some days now and I cannot explain it. The girls said it is nothing to worry about, but I don't know, I cannot stop myself from overthinking everything.

Stretching my body, my bones painfully crack. I manage to get down from the bed and walk to the kitchen. After making myself a bowl of cereal, I sit on the round dining table to eat. Mother walks into the kitchen in her flowing morning robe.

"Good to see you home for once, dear."

I snicker not even bothering to look up at her. "Good to see you finally notice, mother."

"Do not play smart with me, Alina. You need to stay home more often, dear. This is the last full location we will get to spend together before you go off to college in New York. Your father is already working on that for you."
