Hong looked at Chin then back at him after hearing him say that, she smiled making Xiu Ying more hopeful. Chin was nervous and curious about what Hong's answer will be, Hong answered "I appreciate that you want to be in my babies' lives but like our agreement, you will never be in their lives. You agreed to it yourself," in a calm, bitter voice.
"The only reason I agree was that I really thought the babies in your belly weren't really mine," in a guilty tone.
Hong chuckle and asked "Should I play what you said to me," as she when on her phone and started to play something. The audio plays 'Now that you agree, I will get full custody of my babies whether you're the father or not.'
'Fine, it's not like I care about those things.'
'Remember you're words.' Hong added "So no you can't be in our lives. I don't need you, I'll be fine taking care of my babies myself. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be leaving now," in an emotionless voice and Hong and Chin left. As soon as they got into Hong's car, she started to tear up as she begin the car. Chin softly said, "You were extremely brave for saying that, but are you sure that's what you want?"
"I don't know," she sniffled as she drove off. Chin didn't know how to help her so she just stayed silent the car ride. When they got back to Hong's apartment, Hong asked "Are you hungry? I'll cook something for you," in a calm voice.
"No, I already ate, you should go make something for yourself to eat if you're hungry," she answered as she sat on the couch. Hong went to her kitchen and started to make something for herself while Chin just thought about what she was going to do when she met Bojing. As Hong was eating, Chin sat next to her and asked "Sister Hong, do have pictures of your ultrasounds?" in a curious tone.
She nodded as she asked, "Why?"
Chin mumbled "May I see them? I want to see the twins," in a shy voice. Hong nodded as she got up and went somewhere. When she came back she had a small, white paper, she handed it to Chin as she mumbled "Here."
As Hong continued to eat, Chin looked at all the ultrasounds pictures as she asked "Are the two circles them?" in an excited voice. Hong nodded without saying a thing. Chin smiled and said "They look so cute even though they look like blobs," in a cheerful voice. Hong nodded again. That made Chin stop smiling and asked "Hong, are you ok? Why weren't you saying anything? Am I being annoying?"
It started to rain badly with thunder, Hong started to light cry as she answered "You're not annoying. I'm just so confused about what I should. I love him and want him to raise the twins with me, but part of me hates how he called the babies 'things' like they're objects and don't believe when we told him that nothing happened between his friend and me."
Chin answered "Not to be mean or anything rude, he has a point. You're telling me that if he pretended to sleep with your friend, you won't be mad?"
Hong answered "I guess you do have a point," in a quiet voice, wiping her tears away. She continued "Chin, what do you think I should do? Should I just forgive him and let him be in my babies' lives?" in a nervous tone.
Chin nodded and stated "You should, but after he learn a small lesson for calling the twins 'things'. Don't worry, it won't be too harsh," a smirk showed up. After a few hours, it was still raining, Hong noted "Chin, just stay here for the night, I'll call your brother to let him know," a calm tone.
"Ok, sorry if I'm burdening you."
Hong hugged her and said "You're not, I'm the one that is sorry. You took care of me today even though I'm the adult." They hugged each other until Hong ran to the bathroom, covering her mouth. Chin followed to hold Hong's hair and rub her back.
After Hong took a shower, she threw a towel to Chin, telling her "Go take a shower now and you can grab any of my pajamas to wear for the night," getting on her bed. Chin grabbed a t-shirt and shorts, then headed to the bathroom. When Chin came out of the bathroom, she saw that Hong was already asleep but her hair was still wet. Chin shook Hong to dry her hair before going to sleep before she gets sick.
Hong stretched and got up and mumbled "I've must have fallen asleep while laying on my bed." She grabbed her hairdryer and started to dry her hair, Chin just watched as Hong was half drying her hair and falling asleep. Chin lightly giggled and started to film a video for her brother.
"Hong, I think your hair is dry enough," with a calm voice as Hong went back to her bed.
After she crawled on her bed, she mumbled "You should dry your hair too before you come to sleep." Once half an hour passed, Chin's hair was dried. She lay next to Hong, then someone texted her, it was her brother. "Where are you?"
Chin took a photo with Hong in it and texted back "I'm spending the night at Hong's." Lai sends a thump up. After she charged her phone with her charger, Chin just stared at the ceiling, thinking about Bojing. She didn't know what was going to happen tomorrow, making her nervous, and she just want to cancel on him. Soon enough she fell asleep.
When Chin woke up from her unfortunate nightmare, once again she was sweating and out of breath. She looked in Hong's way, she was still sleeping so Chin quietly got out of bed into the bathroom. Chin took a quick shower before making breakfast for Hong and herself. Hong came in as Chin was finishing up her cook, Chin greeted "Good morning, how your sleep?" with a smile.
"Good. You should have woken me up if you were hungry," Hong answered in a calm voice, coming to sit at the table.
Chin gave Hong her plate of food, warmly smiling, as she replied "Because you looked like you were enjoying your sleep, so I didn't wake you up. Plus I can cook for myself."
After Hong took a bite of Chin's food, Hong looked in surprise and shouted "This is so good. Where and how did you learn to cook this awesome food?"
That made Chin blush a little, she answered "Thanks, my mom taught me to cook, but I can only cook simple meals," in a thankful voice with a sad smile.
Hong stop eating, mourned "Sorry for reminding you of your mom, but your mom taught you well. At least you had someone to teach you how to cook," in a down voice as tears roll down her face.
Chin said "We all learn how to cook differently but our food still tastes good. Hong, don't cry, it's so upsetting to see you cry so much, in a soothing voice.
After letting out a sigh and wiping her tears away, she mumbled "Sorry, I've been so emotional in this pregnancy," with an apologetic voice.
"Now let's just eat, no more crying," with a soft tone as Hong nodded. Chin asked, "Hong, when will you start showing?" while sitting on the couch.
Hong stopped reading her book, she answered "To be honest, I don't know. But don't worry I'll be ok," in a positive tone. "Well, I guess I better start getting ready for work," going to her room. Bojing texted "Here is my address. Feel free to come at any time, today, my roommate is out for the week to see his family." with an address.
After a few minutes, Hong said "I'm going to work now. Do you want me to take you home?"
"Can you send me to this address?" showing Bojing's address. Hong gave her a suspicious look but nodded. Hong asked, "Do you want to wear my clothes instead since you wore that yesterday?"
"Are you sure? I don't know the next time I'll see you."
Hong smiled and answered, "Yeah, you can just give it back when you see me or just keep it." Chin excitedly smiled and went to Hong's closet. Chin took Hong's black, kitted, long sleeves, crop top sweater over a checkerboard sling dress. "How do I look," Chin asked Hong.
When Hong saw Chin, her lit up, she praised "Chin you look so good, you can keep that. I probably won't fit that after I give birth," in a cheerful tone.
Chin made a shocked face as she asked "No, I can't keep it. Plus You'll never know, you might fit this again when your body snaps back after birth," with an uncertain tone.
She took Chin's hand and stated "I'm sure that you can keep this. I don't even know if my body will snap back enough to fit that dress, so you keep it for me," in an assured tone. Hearing that made Chin nod. Hong noted "Now, come on, let's get going. I'm going to be late for work," as they left.
When Chin was standing outside of Bojing's place as her heart was accelerating within each second. She debated if she should just go home or not. Minutes has passed when she heard someone call her name, it was Bojing.
He asked "Why didn't you calling me? I would have come earlier than you would have to stand here for so long," in a curious voice.
"I was going to call you, but... Anyways, where were you?"
"I went for a little walk since I was bored. Let's get inside and start talking," as he led the way. Chin awkwardly sat on the couch as he went to get drinks and snacks. After he gave her juice and a tray with snacks, he noted "Now, tell me everything when you're ready," in a calm voice.
After a few minutes, Chin started to tell everything from beginning to end, by the end, Chin was crying so hard as Bojing comforted her. He mumbled "Chin, I'm delighted that you told me this very sensitive information. I'm sincerely sorry that that happened to you and I'm here for you if you ever need someone to talk about it." with a soft voice.
"Th- thanks- Bo- Bojing. I ho- hope- you- you're- not dis- disgusted by me," she mumbled in between sobs.
Bojing made her whole body face him, hugged her, and said "Why should I be disgusted by you? I'm more disgusted by those guys. I hope karma come to them," in a calming voice than at the end with a bitter tone. Chin just continue to cry while Bojing just hugged her.
Once Chin started to calm down, he asked "When will you tell your brothers? I think you should get some help through this trauma," in a gentle voice as he pull from her.
She quickly cover her face and said "Stop, I look so ugly right now. Can you look away?" He did what she asked, then told her to answer his question. "I'm so scared to tell them if they forbid me to go out," with a feared voice.
Bojing vocalized "Well, I don't think they'll do that to you, if they do, I'll try to talk to them," with a relaxed voice.
"I think I will tell Lai tonight," she marked. Bojing smiled and nodded. "I'm going to go the wash my face," as she went to the bathroom, still covering her face. When it was 3 in the afternoon, Bojing waved goodbye to her in the taxi. He noted, "Tell me what happens when you tell your brother." She nodded as the taxi drove off.
As always no one was home but Chin was quite happy, she got free time for herself. Today she felt nervous and depressed, she hated herself more for telling the guy she might like. When sitting on her bed, in her comfortable clothes, with many thoughts by her. Her phone started to ring, "Hello, Brother?"
He asked "Did you get home alright? I heard that Hong had to go work."
"Yep, just bored since I don't have anything to do," answered Chin.
He giggled and sighed "Well as long as you're safe. I have to go back to work, so see you later," then hung up before she could say anything. Chin just took a nap since she has nothing better to do.
Nine o clock, Chin woke up from her nap, she went on the couch to watch movie, but then went to look outside at the beautiful moon and stars, shining over buildings. When she looked down, saw that there were not much cars or people walking around, but then she saw a woman and guy on the sidewalk. The woman looked so uncomfortable and nervous as the guy has an evil smiled, the guy started to dragged her as she was crying and trying to escape from him. Seeing all that it reminded her of the horrible day.
She started to panic, her legs were shaking, she started to hyperventilating. Chin cried, remembering the events of that day, she didn't know to cope with it anymore then she calmly grabbed a box cutter. She sat on the floor, wrote her last goodbyes to her loved one and left the piece of paper on her nightstand, and made a few slits across her wrist. Chin's last thought to herself was 'Mom, I'm coming to live with you.' as blood left her body and she slowly lost consciousness. The last sentence on the paper 'This is where my story end... not because I ran out ink, but because I couldn't create my own happy ending.'
