"It's hot"
"Water...water...water," I spoke under my breath.
I did not know when I had woken up nor how long has it's been.
I laid on the floor sweating, my clothes completely wet from the sweat.
Bright, everything is bright too bright to see anything clearly, it burned my eyes.
mumbling.
"Someone, someone, turn the light off"
"Thump" sound
The fresh cold air hit me.
The sound of footsteps echoed through the room, the silhouette of a man drew closer and closer.
My vision was hazy.
The bright light behind him turned off with a "thud" sound.
Everything got dark as my eyes adjusted to the new light slowly
"Are you alright?"
That familiar voice.
Something behind.
"My hands."
My hands were free, the person had removed the cuffs from my hand.
I was slowly feeling my hands again.
Slowly the darkness faded a little as I was able to make out shapes, everything was hazy and dark in tone.
I was barely able to make out anything.
"Oh My God"
"Bring the medic, here"
"What have you done"
The chatter in the background.
I could hear more footsteps.
"A person? No, More than one"
From the voice and the shape, I was able to make out they were people.
"My eyes, they hurt" I hold on to them.
"My eyes..my eyes," I said under my breath
"Don't lose consciousness"
A person held on to me.
"Hurry up, where is the medic"
More footsteps and chatter.
That person kept holding onto me that familiar voice screamed,
"What is taking so long?"
"Bring him right now"
"An Chaeyoung" Said a man in a loud voice before the sound of stomping his feet.
"That's An Chaeyoung?" Many voices spoke up.
I held on to her.
"An Chaeyoung" I mumbled beneath my breath.
"You will be fine," she said.
An Chaeyoung, the person I came here with, the person whom I saved back then.
"Get him on the stretcher now move move move," said a man loudly.
I was moved onto a stretcher before they carried me away.
As I was being moved by the light on the ceiling, I was only able to see bright lights and make out the shapes. When we moved away from a light source it got dark.
Sound of a door, A man screamed.
"Jesus Christ, his eyes"
As we moved past them I heard someone say
"Blind Box"
I was placed in the infirmary, I could only make out the shapes so it was difficult for me to know what was what and what was not like differentiating a person from something tall.
When I arrived there my eyes were shot red and hurt and I was dehydrated.
For my eyes there was not much that could be done for me, we only had to hope that It would heal with time, that's what I was told.
For why was I put through such a thing? I was not being tortured rather an experiment, an experiment to test out how long before the system's [Last Resort] triggers.
"That's how it is," she said.
"I was also taken in for questioning they sat me in the interrogation room before they learnt my identity and let me go"
"I was sent to meet the person in charge here, when I learnt about the experiment that you were being put under and came running to stop it."
"You are in the army?"
"Yes"
"We will stay here until your vision is partially recovered," she said.
"We did like to run some tests on you, if you are fine with it" another person said, he was the doctor there.
"They know about your identity as a not so human, human"
"They were trying to find you, but we came to them before they could find us"
"He doesn't need to stay here, does he?"
"No," the doctor said.
"Can he be discharged?"
"Yes, but he does have to take medications"
Thus, I was discharged.
And was taken to a private room by her, where I was placed to stay, since I had recently lost my vision and couldn't do anything.
I was kept with an observer, so I didn't end up hurting myself for which she volunteered to do so.
Thus our day outside the isolated city began..
