An Chaeyoung Part 2

"An Chaeyoung tell me something"

"Yes"

"An Chaeyoung, What kind of life you had?"

"Systems are not an existence that is bound by life and death, they just exist till they perish or is consumed by another system"

"Not you, I mean the real An Chaeyoung who died, the one whose name you carry on"

An Chaeyoung looked upset,

With a snap of her finger, the room changed,

In a dark room, the only visible light was from a computer screen that glowed brightly. A document on it, in big letters on the screen, read "Game Over".

Across the white and lilac trimmed desk that the computer sat in was a bed, big enough for 2 persons next to its wall, on the foot of the bed was a door that led to a walk-in closet, through the walk-in closet was a bathroom, it was readily visible from the bedroom if the closet door was left open.

The sound of footsteps from the next room got louder and louder. A song played loudly, someone hummed along, the sound of something sizzling,

The room had no door, only a door frame.

Light in the other room, I slowly stepped towards the door without making a sound and peeked over to take a look. On the other room's wall was a shadow of a woman with her hair tied, before it disappeared, with a soft sound of a door closing.

The room was poorly illuminated, only light in the room was what it got from the computer in the other room and the light that broke in through the blinds,

The room was shaped like an L.

At the long end of it was where I stood, the room with the computer in it is located at the far end of the Long end.

When you walked out from that room on your left side was a shelf separating the living space from the entrance. On the other side of the shelf was the entrance foyer, in front of you, were windows with blinds on, that the light broke in from.

On your right there was an aqua-colored sofa set, as you moved past it in front of it was a coffee table with a glass top, beyond that was a glass panel, that separated the dining from the living.

At the end of the short end of the "L" was a kitchen, and in the opposite direction of it was the toilet.

To go to the toilet one had to get past the dining table.

Next to the kitchen was a door that led to a small balcony.

That door was open

I stood next to her looking at her cook.

"Stop playing so loudly"

"everyday"

"These kids always ruining everything" Screamed a man,

That voice it's coming from towards the balcony, She immediately turned the volume down and went running towards the balcony apologizing with the solid turner in her hands,

She bowed, holding the solid turner tightly in her hands close to her chest, apologizing in the balcony to the old man on the balcony next door, before coming back and closing the door to the balcony behind her with her leg.

Putting the food from the pan onto a plate and rice on a bowl from the rice cooker, That woman walked to her room with a bowl in her hand and a plate on the other, excited, joy-filled smile on her face, she sat in front of the computer eating with one hand and scrolling with the other.

As I entered the room, An Chaeyoung looked towards me visibly upset, her face hanging low.

But that woman, quickly her excitement had faded into low spirits, the expression on her face had quickly turned gloomy.

Scrolling through a site, the more of the comments she read, the more her expression changed, none of the comments were good, there were only arguments and hate spewed in the comments section.

That woman was none other than An Chaeyoung, the one before her death.

The real An Chaeyoung was a writer, she wrote many manuscripts but never sent them anywhere, when she ended up posting her work on the internet she did get fame but all she received was hate.

She looked at the clock before getting up, turning on the reading lamp, closing her laptop screen.

Heading into the closet.

I sat on the bed. An Chaeyoung stood there next to me. The sound of the shower before it turned off and the sound of the dryer started when the dryer went off. She came out of the closet and walked out of the room turning off the only light.

She stood at the entrance foyer for a moment, looking at the apartment with a foldable umbrella in her hand, before opening the door and going outside, closing the door behind her.

Snap...

Everything surrounding me changed.

I went through some memories. In just a couple of moments, they were flowing past me as I lived them, one from another.

She tried to get on the lift but it was out of order, So she had to take the stairs.

As she went down 4 stories of stairs,

As she looked towards her apartment from the outside of the building.

Memories flowed past me, Before it came to a halt,

At Night, it was raining. I was standing in the street looking at her as she came out of a cafe. At the door, she opened her umbrella, before walking in my direction but she toddled with the heels on, on the slippery sett paved street.

Putting her umbrella down next to her she removed her heels and carried them on her hands before picking up the umbrella again and walking barefooted.

She walked like that under the rain for miles, barefooted. Her dress was completely soaking wet, holding the umbrella over her head she continued walking, on the empty street.

The visibility was low due to the rain, a car was speeding, coming towards her from behind the driver couldn't see her before.

When the driver saw her, it was already too late. The driver braked immediately in panic, but the car skidded in the rain, as the driver saw helplessly clenching onto his steering, the car hit her, she fell into the ground bleeding. As The crumbled umbrella went down the street due to wind.

The driver came out of the car to check on her, but seeing her go into spasms on the ground as the water surrounding her turned red from the blood

"save me!"

"Save me!"

she whispered under her breath as blood came out of her mouth.

She was bleeding profusely

In panic, He ran away in his car, as he drove off in the distance

A ball of light that was passing by stopped over the body taking a look at her before whispering,

"Sleep Well"

As she took her last breath, The light disappeared into her body, Her red heels laid next to her.
