For Your Own Good

Arya sat in awe as the wave of explosion overcame the space pod. She tried to keep her thoughts to herself and not glance in "his" direction. It was something she need to face..the facts were she loved this man but was confused on how she could plainly have forgotten why. Alrick looked in her direction with a pleading expression. He wanted her to talk to him. He wanted to explain everything to her but she did not want to acknowledge the extreme issue at hand. She had no choice but to question him thoroughly. After hours of reliving the past she found out the horrible truth. Üther had hired him to protect her by any means necessary. This man was Üther's friend and confident advisor. The most interesting thing was Alrick talked as if Üther was more family than anything. Why than why did they chose to go behind his back? Alrick mentioned how much time they had spent together. She and Üther had been struggling to conceive an heir and it was an important matter. They had been married for quiet sometime under the demon law of Xeon an heir must be produce by the fifth new moon of the marriage. The had seen elders within the Lune Doctrine to help with the conception. They tried tincture after tincture and even outside medicine from different planets. She needed help and turned to Alrick. They advised a contract of sorts. A promise that nothing would come of this but an heir and nothing would be spoken to Üther about this. The problem with all of this was everytime there was a international meeting or something important out of planetary orbit Alrick was there. Üther was always busy doing other things within Xeon and yes he was a good husband but was lacking in other parts that Alrick was full filling. This was not suppose to happen. Once the pod said they could unhook seatbelts she did. Arya got up and went over to Alrick and placed her head on his chest and cried. Alrick took and placed his hands against her cheeks and kissed her deeply. Slowly brushing her tears away and rubbing her back. He whispered in her ear that everything was going to be ok. Arya tried telling herself she loved her husband just as much as Alrick but she knew it was a lie. What was she to do? Her mate was forever and Alrick was not..Alrick Arya asked " what are we going to do"? He looked at her and said simply " I have a plan". It was only an hour before they entered Xeon's atmosphere and Arya was feeling sick to her stomach. Arya did not know what the plan was but it better be good. Alrick looked at her and smiled and said " it is". He was so confident and she loved that about him. Wow she loved him and was willing to admit it to herself. She did love her husband also but not like the way she feels about Alrick. Üther meant the pod and was pleased to see they both were safe and sound. He gave his wife a kiss on the forehead and the looked at Alrick and stated that he would like to speak with him. Arya was dismissed quickly to her quarters were she took a amazingly super hot bubble bath. Left in her thoughts on what may be discussed within the company of her husband and Alrick she grew anxious. The maids came to help her as she dressed and then she realized her maids were her friends. She was so tired of the trip and everything else processing was going to take time...She laid on her bed and slowly drifted off. A loud knock on her bedroom door caused her to wake up and answer with a "come in". To her surprise Alrick was standing with Üther and both seemed pleased. It seemed that Alrick had made a binding contract with Üther. The information was given to Arya over dinner she had slept twelve hours. Üther was informed of Arya's want for a child and Alrick was willing to help if need be. In astonishment this was an agreement to she her with Alrick. Her husband wanted to make her happy. Although that went well she realizes at that moment that he had not informed Üther of their relations and how they gelt about each other. After dinner she asked to speak with Alrick alone. To find out Alrick was Üthers eldest half brother and rightful king but renounced the throne decades ago. Alrick she whispered "how am I suppose to be with him when I love you"? I know he responds, but the death of both you and I would be the cause if not the lie I told...we would never be able to be together. I need you to understand Arya Alrick said that you are always going to be with me no matter what. Our children will rule and you and I will have a love that will go beyond our galaxy. Alrick looked at Arya with a burning see within his eyes. Arya noticed that she was starting to want him badly also....a guard entered the garden with a letter. It was addressed to Arya. The letter was read in private. Her husband has gone away on orders to Preveak and has asked her to keep Alrick entertained while gone..She turned and threw the letter in the fire pit and returned to Alrick. As she dismissed the guard she informed him of his brothers leave. To her surprise he had already known as he was the one who gave the order. He looked at her and with a sly smile said " It's for your own good". Kissed her deeply and picked her up and placed her softly on the bed. Know he said "where to start hmmmm"??.
