38. My little glutton

Li Zhilan's voice was not too loud but it wasn't even too low so the people nearby all heard it and so scattered giggles could be heard.

Due to these scattered giggles, the people who didn't hear or know what was happening also became curious and started to ask around.

And it was at such moments that the gossipy nature of humans awaken, so within a few minutes, forget about the people in the hall, even those outside knew what was happening.

And so the party ended with Li Zhilan dissing the butterfly a.k.a Miss Su Wanwan.

...

The following days went by quite 'normal' with Li Zhilan and Qi Longwei's childish fights going on all the time. Everyone had gotten used to seeing the two of them involved in childish banterings with eachother as well as seeing them in different clothes while coming and leaving the school. And at times, the would even see them wearing a different set of clothes during break time and after class.

...

''Darn it. I can't beleive you are making me share my stationaries with you.'' Li Zhilan said as she looked at her pencil bag placed on top of the line made to divide the table. ''Great Qi, can't you buy yourself your own set of things. Look at you, starting from your head to your toes, you are covered with branded things. Can't you buy your own pen?''

It just so happened that right at this moment Qi Longwei was reaching in the pencil bag to retrieve a pen.

Picking the pen and twirling it with his fingers, Qi Longwei said, ''Since you are providing for free, why should I waste my money? You might not know but I have to save money as much as I can. My little glutton seems to be coming back so I have to save enough to be able to feed her.''

''A glutton you say? Guess we have similar stomachs. I think we would get along pretty well.'' Li Zhilan said already imagining a cute chubby little girl and herself touring around the city trying every dish from every restaurant.

''Yup a glutton. A cute glutton. And I also think you guys will get along well Like really well.''

While mentioning his friend, Qi Longwei's eyes turned soft and his usually cold voice also seemed warmer. Seeing this, Li Zhilan felt quite unsettled as if someone was trying to take something precious of hers. She couldn't pin point what that feeling was and why she suddenly felt it but she was sure she didn't like it.

She absolutely detested that feeling.
