118. First day to shoot

The set was bustling with people going here and there while trying to complete their work. But the moment they passed by the entrance to the set, they couldn't help but take a look at the door once for atleast a second. Even the director couldn't help but take a few glances every now and then.

The others were looking at the door to catch a glance of the female lead who could reject Director Yang but still make him insist on her only. They wanted to meet the legendary 'Oleander' of the set.

(Oleander is the name of the female lead in The Abyss.)

But Director Yang was looking at the door because he feared that she won't come at all.

He had only learned about her identity as the sister to the Li brothers a few days after the contract had been signed and he immediately regretted the contract violation terms. He had just wrote a ten millions as the price to be paid if one violates the contract as he thought that it was a huge amount for her so she won't dare to violate the contract. Who knew that he would find out about her identity just a few days signing the contract.

What huge amount? What difficulty?

If she wants to violate the contract, paying the fee would be kids play. From how she is pampered, even if her brothers were to sell themselves, they would do so just to fulfill her wish.

After waiting for a long time, people dressed in all sorts started to come in. Some still had their mask and caps on when entering due to the paparazzi stationed outside.

In the beginning, there weren't much reactions from the people already in. But after a few minutes, the staffs were blown off with he enters of an actress, Sylvia Jones. She was one of the current big names in the industry with millions of fans.

''Wow... It's really Sylvia.''

''Sylvia, I am a huge fan.''

''Can I take a picture with you miss Sylvia?''

''Can I have an autograph please?''

Just when Sylvia was enjoying all the attention, the door pushed open again and a masked man entered. Everyone watched on as the person removed his mask and viola, it was Jacob Wright, the heartthrob.

''Wow....''

''Ah....''

''Oh my God...''

''Jacob. Oh my freaking God, it's Jacob. Jacob Wright. Oh my god. What am I so lucky today? Should I buy a lottery?''

Screams and grasps were what was common at the moment. Everyone was so focused on the entry of the heartthrob, Jacob Wright, that they had forgotten Sylvia Jones.

It wasn't the old staffs who screamed like that because by now they were used to it. Even though the list of those who are being casted weren't released, not even to the internal staffs, they had already expected a casting lineup like this. So it wasn't much of a surprise but the newer ones were different. They still didn't have much experience as they were still fresh blood in this so they still fan girled ot boyed around their favorite actors and actresses.

The table read starts at 10 a.m and until then, people came in, in ones and twos but they weren't welcomed like Sylvia and Jacob.

Director Yang felt so very disheartened when it was already almost time and Li Zhilan still didn't appear. Infact, it wasn't just him. Even the staffs who were waiting to catch a glimpse of the legendary Oleander were a bit dissapointed. Though they didn't know how she looked or what her identity had, they were all the more excited to meet her finally. But the lead just happened to be missing when the time came.

''Alright everyone. The table read starts in one minute.'' Director Yang said out loud after looking at the time one last time. He had lost all hope of Li Zhilan joining the crew.

Everyone left what they were doing and gathered around to head towards where the table read was going to start. But right at this moment, the door was pushed open and in walked a girl in black torn jeans and a white hoodie. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail and her face was housing a beautiful smile.

Her left hand was holding her phone next to her ear and she was heard saying, ''....yeah I arrived. Will talk to you later. hmm... bye.''

''Little lier, you are here.'' Director Yang jumped up from his seat, left everything he was doing as he asked her that question.

''Ofcourse I came. I don't promise something I won't do. You are worrying about something unnecessary little Yang.''

''Great. It's great that you came. It's ok if you are late. As long as you came, it's ok.''

Director Yang was just happy that his lead came right on time but his words scared the shit out of everyone present. It had to be know that what Director Yang hated the most was a person who wasn't punctual. He always liked people who came on time and worked on time. Everyone who had worked with him once would know that this old man was so very damn serious about timing. A minute late and you might be just loose your job, be it as a normal staff or as an actor. But now, despite being late, he was just happy that she came. Is the world going to end or what?

''What do you mean late. Little Yang, you can't go around making me seem bad. I cam right on time. see.'' Li Zhilan showed the watch on the wrist towards director Yang and indeed it had just struck 10.

Even the people present checked the time on their watch or phones to find the exact same result. The time was just 15 seconds past 10 a.m so that means that this girl arrived exactly on time. Damn her time precision. It's too exact that it somehow even seems scary. Just who is she?
