122. Making me change my mind

The way Li Zhilan said it coupled with that eerie smile made everyone feel utterly scared. It made them feel that they were directly jumping into a trap set by her if they agreed.

When everyone else was feeling the pressure

like this just by being the bystanders, one can only image the pressure the person it was directed to was under at the moment.

Jacob felt like he was standing in the middle of a narrow, swinging broken briged and on both the sides were dangers he couldn't pass. He felt like he couldn't survive no matter which option he takes. He couldn't even stand on the bridge because it could collapse at any moment. He really felt like he was making the toughest decision of his life at the moment. It was even tougher than deciding whether to show his parents the paper he failed for signature or getting beaten by his teacher for not getting the sign on the paper.

Finally after closing his eyes tightly, Jacob loudly announced the choice made.

''I'll take the alternative.''

''Woah...''

Everyone cheered after Jacob made his absolutely determined decision. They knew that whatever he chooses, it would be fun for those who were just watching from the sidelines which was them.

''Alright. Then be prepared. Mister Jacob Wright, the alternative punishment is to drink two glass of the drinks I make.''

''Alright.''

''What? That's too simple.''

''This can't be it.''

''It's too easy.''

Jacob was quick to agree while the rest were a little disheartened because the shoehorn wasn't up to their expectation. Who didn't know that Jacob Wright was absolutely brilliant at holding his liquor. This was no fun at all. But everyone understood that this was in one way a good way to cover the awkwardness created by what was written on the note.

''I gave this punishment as a reward for him on being brave. Let's be honest, after the tone and expression I used to ask him whether he was sure, many of you would have already backed out, won't you?''

''Yes...''

Ofcourse everyone shouted in agreement including director Yang because the way she said it was really very scary. Anyone would have backed out.

''See. So isn't he brave. Isn't Mr. Jacob Wright brave?''

''Yes...''

''So is it wrong that I rewarded him a little?''

''No...''

''But, that's not all. I didn't get to complete the alternative punishment before you all interrupted me. So now let's complete what I was going to say. Jacob, you have to drink two drinks I make. On top of that, after we are don't with the shoot and are back, you will treat the entire set to any place we say. FOR THREE DINNERS. At any time we say.''

''Woo hoo... That's the Serenity we know.''

''Yes that a great idea.''

''We will eat till he is broke woo hoo.''

While everyone cheered, Jacob also accepted his fate and nodded.

''Allright that's a deal. Three dinners. Where ever you say.''

''Woo hoo. Our dinner is fixed. Now let's move on to your drinks. Mind you. I'm very good at that.''

Li Zhilan picked up a bottle of every drink present and started pouring it in another empty bottle in almost equal amount. And she didn't forget to give it a good shake after everything was added.

Then she placed two large empty glasses on the table and even added ice cubes before pouring the drink from the bottle in it. The drink looked lovely with a slice of lemon placed on the rim of the glass.

''Bottoms up.'' Li Zhilan said with a smile as she handed over a glass to Jacob who really drank it in a gulp after which he took the other one as well before drinking it in the same manner.

''Wow....''

Everyone cheered for a while before the game turned back to normal.

One by one, people picked up a piece of paper and did what was written and the amazing part was, the note didn't say anything absurd. What's written was very normal compared to what was written in the first note.

While everyone was playing, a phone went off.

''Sorry sorry. It's mine its mine. But I have to get this. It's from a very good friend.'' Director Yang said before he walked off to answer the call of his very important friend.

''Should we continue or wait for Old Yang to come?'' Jacob asked looking uncertain.

''Let's wait.'' Sylvia said while her hands played piano over the camp fire.

While everyone waited for director Yang's return, they started chatting among themselves.

''What are you all going to do after this shoot is done?''

''I'll wait for my next opportunity I guess.'' A girl who was playing a minor role in the movie said.

''I will take a month or two rest.'' Jacob said before he continued. ''After that, I think I will take up a new movie if I get the right script.''

''Yeah, me too. I want to go on a vacation. I want to go around the world and explore and enjoy.'' It was Sylvia who said that.

''For us, it all depends on Director Yang. Since we are his permanent squad, we have to see what more he brings.'' The chief cameraman said while the rest of the staffs nodded their heads.

''Serenity, what about you?''

''Me? I didn't decide yet.'' Li Zhilan said with an undecided look on her face.

''What. Are you not going to decide on another script?'' Sylvia asked as she as well as the rest could clearly see that she didn't plan to take on a new role.

''Exactly. I heard you already got many scripts to consider from.''

''Ofcouse she would get many opportunities. Her debut movie itself is such a huge hit before it's released.''

''Serenity, aren't you planning to continue acting? You are so good at it. I think you should stay.''

''I never planned to. I never wanted to become an actor so... But the times I spent with you guys, it's making me change my decisions.'' Li Zhilan joked as she told everyone her decision. In fact what she said was true. She never thought she would be an actress. This movie was only because she had signed a contract with director Yang. As for the contract with H Entertainment, that idiot Xavier would never have the guts or heart to make her work. Those few idiots had already started regretting their decision the day they knew Li Zhilan had to go away to shoot.
