''I can only say that God is always fair. He didn't cut anyone's time when making me because he only made me during his holiday.'' Li Zhilan winked and then busted out into laughter. Her fair face couldn't help but give way to the slight blush which crept up.

Everyone felt like they were attacked but they loved the feeling. The younger ones especially the reporter who had asked the question felt his heart skip a beat.

That's just too cute.

Shouldn't it be made illegal for this level of cuteness?

The situation on the live streaming platform was much more chaotic. But before that was a full silence for two seconds. And that two seconds was when Li Zhilan had winked and it was caught right on the camera.

''Oh my God! That's illegal right?''

''How can someone be this cute?''

''I know kidnapping is illegal but I still want to kidnap her.''

''Damn I am an official fan of this actress. Li Zhilan, I am your biggest fan.''

''The one above. Get lost. The biggest fan is this person over here.''

''Do you think it's only you guys who consider themselves the biggest fan? I was her earliest fan. Don't compete with me.''

The one who commented was the person who had claimed to be Li Zhilan's fan right from the beginning of the shoot.

Back to the press conference, after a moment of silence, another reporter stood up to ask a question.

''Miss Li. It's a known fact that Director Yang has high standards. Even some of the A listers couldn't comply with his demands and standard. But you, a newbie, without any prior work experience, is working with him on your debut. Many are wondering if you have pulled some strings behind the scenes. What do you have to say for that?'' The reporter clearly had intentions other then interviewing. The way he placed the words didn't seem wrong but it wasn't right either. He was using the power of the general audience to empower his own words. And as an actress, the opinion of the general public is the most important.

Everyone looked on to see how this newbie would tackle such a tricky question. Because only from such questions would they be able to gauge her abilities.

''That's a funny thing to ask because no matter what I say, you could always play with my words to prove yours. The more I deny it, the more you would try to make it seem true. Now tell me what's the answer you would like to hear? I will act accordingly to that.'' Li Zhilan rested her face on the bridge made of her hands. She looked like she was anticipating for something fun.

''Miss Li. I just want to know the truth. Did you use backdoor method?'' The reporter sounded offended with the tone he used but only he could understand that the hardened tone was not due to his own initiative. The other person's gaze on him made him feel like everything he has done was exposed. He felt like a little rabbit who was placed infront of a ferocious lion.

''Fine then.'' Li Zhilan sat straight again and said, ''If you want the truth, then listen to it well. Later on, don't change my words, not even a bit because a single addition to it could change it's meaning perfectly.

''It's true that I didn't meet Director Tang in the streets like you all expected. It's true that we were introduced to eachother through a mutual friend. But it's also true that it wasn't a backdoor deal because Director Tang did indeed test my skill. It is also true that it wasn't just because Director Tang was a friend of a friend that I got this role. I got this role through a series of test.

Only after passing it all did I get the opportunity to sign the contract. So if you think this role landed on my lap easily, you better think again. Nothing comes for free you know. Without a subsequent talent, do you think this old man over here would cast me? If it was so easy, don't you think his name is very superficial.''

With the way Li Zhilan retorted, everyone cheered on. Especially the atmosphere in the live streaming platforms.

''Damn, this girl's a strong one.''

''So cool...''

''Wow... what should I do? I just found out that I am a masochist. I love this side of her even more.''

''That's so cool...''

''Did you see that? everyone on stage clapped loudly.''

''Are those reporters bullying our idols?''

''Aren't they going a bit too far?''

As if sensing the dislike that was spreading on the internet platforms, Li Zhilan opened up her mouth again.

''I know that my words can be misunderstood by many. I don't mean anything that matches to your imaginations. Though there are some pest among the reporters, but can anyone name one group that doesn't? And top of that, don't belittle your idols. They have a temper as well. Not just anyone can step on them so don't let your imaginations run wild.''

The powerful way that Li Zhilan used to say her words made everyone look at her in awe. Those present as well as those who were watching live, were completely attracted towards her. Her voice held that warm, caring feeling to it but there was also that strong overbearing power to it as well.

They couldn't help but be attracted to that warmth and at the same time respect that overbearingness. Even the reporter's couldn't help but respect her. She had solved such a big problem with just a few sentences. If the public had revolted, no matter which company it was directed towards, the losses would be too great to recover.

She helped them clear their name and prove that the reporters were not all headline hungry beasts. She proved that there were people who still beleived in them and they were grateful for that. They were grateful to her for being part of that small group which still had faith in the news provided.
