190. Lost a hand

When Li Zhilan opened her eyes, what greeted her were white ceiling and a faint smell of antiseptics covered by nice smell of flowers.

Li Zhilan wanted to rub her eyes as it had been itchy but when she tried to move her right hand, it didn't budge. She couldn't move her right hand.

''Did I loose my hand. That can't be. I just fell off the cliff. I had even positioned my body for a proper landing so how can it be.'' Li Zhilan muttered in disbelief at loosing her hand. But her train of thoughts were stopped by the surprised and anxious voice of Qi Longwei.

''You are up. You're up. Thank God you are okay. Thank God you didn't leave me. Thank God...'' Qi Longwei hugged Li Zhilan as he nestled his face in the crook of her neck. She could feel water dripping in that area and knew that someone had lost control of his emotions.

Sensing his emotions, Li Zhilan realized that her eyes also burned. At that moment she thought that it was alright even if she lost both her arms. It was alright as long as this person loved her the same. As long as he didn't mind, she wouldn't mind.

While lightly patting Qi Longwei's back, Li Zhilan said, ''Why are you crying when I am the one who lost a hand? Isn't it just a hand. It's okay. You don't have to worry so much. I have a lot of ways to earn money and take care of you.''

As if her words hit a cord, Qi Longwei immediately picked his head up, his hazel brown eyes looking straight into her obsidian black ones.

''What do you mean you lost a hand?'' His voice seemed confused as his eyebrows furrowed.

''Didn't I. I couldn't feel my right hand when I wanted to wipe my eyes.'' The same confusion reflected in Li Zhilan's eyes as she really thought that she lost a hand. But her words made Qi Longwei's eyes widen in shock before he quickly got up from his position.

''Oh crap. I am so sorry. I... I...'' Qi Longwei couldn't find the right word to describe what he was feeling at the moment when someone laughed out loud at the door.

''Hahaha... That... That's so funny. Hahahaha...'' Xavier laughed till he nearly tumbled. ''He... he had been holding your hand the entire time you were unconscious. To be exact, he was holding your hand for two days and five hours. That's why it was numb and you couldn't feel it. Infact, he is still holding it.''

Li Zhilan looked down her right shoulder towards her hand to find that it was really clasped in Qi Longwei's large hand.
