209. Complete looser

''Now tell me, my dear assistant Peiyi.'' Li Zhilan's face turned serious as she looked at Peiyi and continued in Country M's language. ''Or should I say, Ms Christine Hill.''

Hearing that name from her mouth, shock filled Peiyi's entire being.

That last glimmer of smugness was crushed by just one sentence. But just as rightly said by the ancestors, dead pigs fear no boiling water, courage started to build in Peiyi.

''So you do know who I am. What? Do you fear me now? Wanna beg for mercy? I-"

''Did you hurt your head just because you kneeled for a few minutes or are you just blind. Wait. I know a better reason. YOU ARE JUST STUPID.''

''How dare you call me stupid. I am the top student of my batch. No matter where I go, no one would reject me saying that I'm stupid. That's just how smart I am. You don't even hold a candle to me.''

''Smart? And you? How contrast.'' Li Zhilan's expression turned colder and colder as she looked at the hysterical Peiyi on the floor.

The girl infront of her no longer looked innocent. She no longer had that sweet smile nor that adorable cuteness. The usual prim and proper girl was now replaced with a crying, screaming person who was on the brink of madness. Her eyes were clouded instead of clear and her hair was also messed up adding on to her already deranged look.

''Christine. Did you think just scoring high on paper makes one smart? One is only considered smart when one can apply what is learned. Just jotting down what you memorized, is that even worth it if you understand nothing? Give someone ample time and he can also do it. You are only smart if you can apply what you learned.''

''No... Absolutely not. I... I am smart. I... I have always been smart. You don't... You just don't see it. I... I am smart. You... You can't deny that... Yes... I... I am... Smart. Yes. Smart. I am smart. I AM SMART.'' Peiyi could no longer be called conscious. She was murmuring to herself to hypnotize herself into believing what she was saying.

''Christine. CHRISTINE.'' Li Zhilan shouted to bring Peiyi back. Seeing that empty eyes look back at her, Li Zhilan felt a little sad.

She had always known her identity. Peiyi was a junior to her. Her achievements were always high and always at the top and so when she joined M University, she still hoped to be that best she is. Since young, everyone around her told her that the only talent she had was her intellect. That she was a complete looser at every other thing other than in the department of brains.
