Prologue

Zara Coker woke up as the sun rays from the window shone directly to her face. She stood up and sat upright with legs crossed, in bed. She is a beautiful young woman of her early twenties, average heighted, slim and dark in complexion. An African but bred in British-American lifestyle.

She stared at the window but her mind was lost in oblivion. Her thoughts were occupied by the nightmare she had last night.

At present, she had, had such nightmares three times in the past six months. The previous two were in her hostel room at University College London, which she shared with her childhood best friend Jade.

Jade had seen the restlessness, Zara bears in her sleep and quietly, she comforted her. Telling her it was just a dream, 'Dream!' Zara had said loudly.

Now in the comfort of her bed in her own room, in her parent house, she had the nightmare. She stood up and walked to the window, the curtains were already opened automatically. She looked at the sheet cover of other mansions in the estate. Her attentions were not there, she thought, 'Why won't the nightmares stop. Why is she being tormented? Who is behind it? Wait, was she thinking of being possessed?

No, absolutely not.

Her thoughts still trailed until she was brought back to life by the sound of her phone ringing. She fumbled in her bed for her phone. She quickly pressed the receiver button as she found the phone. She need not be told who was calling, she already knows, she have saved the ring tone for one person in particular and that person, is Jade.

"Hi girlfriend, what's up?" she gathered her wits and tried to sound calm, and it worked.

"Hey, I'm cool, are you ready?" Jade asked.

"Re… Ready? For what?" Zara asked, sounding so asinine. She has no knowledge of what Jade was saying or perhaps she has forgotten. She closed her eyes as if to try and remember something.

"Gym, the gym, don't you remember? We have an appointment today?" Jade said with a little bit of surprise in her voice. This was unlike Zara.

"Oh my God! What the hell was I thinking?"

" Yeah, what the hell were you thinking?" Jade mimic in sarcasm.

"Girlfriend I'm entirely sorry, just got a lot in my mind this morning."

"You sure do have a lot in mind, you better be ready before I get there." Jade said and Zara cuts the call before Jade could add anything.

"Oh Zara, always running from confrontations." Jade said out loud. She sat in her bed with legs crossed in a half lotus manner, she was already dressed. She wore a pink sport suit with a pair of pink trainers to match.

She is as beautiful as Zara but a bit taller and more voluptuous than Zara. They both are of same age.

Jade had been so fond of Zara the very first time they met and so, the both established an unbreakable bond. They do things the same, attending same primary and secondary schools and also same university. Where Zara had studied computer science and technology, Jade had to study law because it was her mother's legacy. It was really not her passion but had to force herself to do it.

Zara too was forced by her mother to study business administration so, she could take over the company from her father but she refused and have to explain herself and convinced her mother otherwise. Aside from that, she was trained in the area of business by her father. Checking her wrist watch.

"By the time I get to the Comer's mansion, Zara should be done by then." Jade said to herself as she stood up from her bed.
