Departure

The day arrived. The day when Sou would be going to his new school, or should I say, the day when he would finally attend school. Nevertheless, it was supposed to be an auspicious day. Yes, it was "supposed" to be.

"Umm… uncle Lucio, can't I just skip school? I mean, I am strong enough to protect myself and I am mature enough to work in society. Can't I just stay?" Sou asked with bated breath. It was too much of a demand, and he knew it too, but he tried anyway. It was better to try than agonizing over not trying.

"... No."

But Lucio was resolute with his course of action. He was just unshakable.

"... Please?"

Sou tried to act cutely, which was a bit disturbing to see.

(Hope this convinces him.)

But this only made Lucio put up his guard even more. It was, well, very considerate of Lucio that he didn't start running away in fear.
