CHAPTER 2: CONSORT SLAYER

Athena's Pov

Ten years have passed after I saw my parents killed in front of me. I decided to take revenge on that person. I already killed some of them with the help of my friends who is traumatized after the incident. I convinced them to make a group of assassins that will take revenge for what we experienced. They agreed to it and are group name is Midnight Seraphs. The killers who is an angel in disguise. A group of people that moves silently and never cause chaos. Also, we do not want the darkness devoured others, that's why we're willing to dirty our hands just to protect everyone.

I am at the front gate of the school where I will transferring. I don't know why I need to transfer because my Aunt just order me to do so. When I got out of the car, all the students were looking at me. I just ignored them and walked to his office

"Who is she,"

"A transferee,"

"She is gorgeous"

"She is not only gorgeous. She is also pretty, she is even prettier than our campus belle. She's like a goddess,"

Tsk. I know I'm new here and they already gossiping about me but I take that as a compliment. I was close to my aunt's office but I felt they following me so I confronted them. "Can you please stop following me ?," I said irritably with raise of an eyebrow.

"Miss, we only want to know who you are. Can you tell us your name ?" said a guy.

"I have no obligation to tell any of you so leave me alone," I said lowering my voice. They froze when they heard my cold voice and I start to walk again. Suddenly, I felt an irk when I heard many footsteps following me so I face them again.

"If I tell you would you stop following me ?" they nodded

"Fine, I'm Jazlyn Laurel," I said and left. As they said they no longer followed me. I really hate attention. I entered my aunt's office without knocking.

" You're already there Athena. Have a ...," I cut her off. "Aunt, I said that don't call me Athena. Athena is dead ten years ago and I'm Jazlyn now,"

"As days go by your rudeness keeps getting worse, you little kid. Okay go sit over there," Aunt said.

"Aunt, why did you want me to transfer here?" I asked.

"Jaz, I know your only target is the people involved in your parent's death but there is something you need to know," said my Aunt. She gave me some files and I opened them, "I don't want to hide it from you but the Shadows want to kill you," I stopped reading and looked at my aunt.

"Why do they want to kill me?" I asked.

"Because of their leader. The assassins are keeps targeting him and when they ask who is the mastermind of all that, they always say that the Consort Slayer ordered them," I just stood by what I heard.

"And why do I even need to kill him? I don't even know him?" I slightly raised my voice.

"That's why I'm telling you. Someone is using your name to cover their evil deed. Also the reason why I told you to transfer here," she explained.

"Aunt put me in the room where the leader of the Shadows is. I'm personally going to handle this matter. How dare they use me as their scapegoat?" I said.

"Okay, I got it. Just remember what I keep telling you. Be careful and don't lower yourself on irrelevant persons," said the aunt.

I need to know who is behind of this. If I found out who is using my name to kill that person. I swear to any kind of devil I'm going kill him. "Here, just go in there. I already told the teachers that you are going to transfer there. Just be careful," I just nodded to my Aunt and left.

ALLAINE'S POV

"Dude, do you know that there is a transferee that is so beautiful?" Dominick said. This guy is a total womanizer. Nothing escapes his ears when girls are involved.

"There is no girls ugly for you, so no need to tell me how they look," I said.

"You're just not interested in any women that's why you don't have any girlfriend. Making me sometimes to wonder if you are really straight," I got an irk when Kim suddenly said I'm not straight. This guys.

"I'm not like you guys. Your brains are full of women. Also, just because I'm not interested in any doesn't mean I'm gay," I said.

"You have no hope. Can't you just choose the woman you like? Just pick it out of the room. They're queuing for you," Dominick said.

"If you are not interested in them, then maybe with Sofia. She really likes you," Benedick replied.

"Not gonna happen," I answered without hesitation and not looking at them.

"You guys know that Alli is not interested in anyone other than a certain someone," Justine commented. Finally, someone with a brain.

"That's true, it's already so many years and we still didn't managed to find them. I wonder what kind of person Alli fell in love with looks like?" Kim agreed.

"Then just work hard so you can meet her?" I said smiling slightly.

"We don't even know if they are still alive. All we know is that after that incident all of them vanished like a thin air," Dominick said.

"They're alive. As long as she was with them, they are not going to die. She can make the impossible possible if she uses her brain. Nothing can predict her next movement if she set her mind on it," I said smirking. I believe in her. She won't die easily or stay silent after what happened. She's just waiting for the right time to attack.

Our teacher came in just a few minutes. "Okay class, you have a new classmate. Come in and introduce yourself," Sir Raymond said.

A very beautiful woman came in. She has a long black hair reaching for the waist and brown eyes. I noticed that there seemed to be something under her skirt. I'm not a pervert but what is that thing? "Jazlyn Laurel. 17," she said. Okay, she has a rude attitude. Got it.

"Okay, Ms. Laurel you can sit beside Mr. Rong. Mr. Rong please raise your hand," Sir Raymond said and I raise my hand. 

Why does she need to sit next to me? There are a lot of vacant seats. So why beside me? She sat down next to me and did not even speak. I felt my cellphone vibrate so I turned it on. So she was sitting on the left next to the window and I was on the right. I was annoyed that Dominick was the one who chatted in our group chat of Shadows.

"Dude, she was the one that I was telling you earlier," -Dominick

"So, that's her?! You're really lucky boss," - Kim

"Seeing her beauty, Sofia says nothing to her," - Benedick. What's with Benedick? He becomes talkative with these nonsense questions.

"Shut up. I don't care if she is pretty or not. As long as she doesn't disturb me we're good," - Me

"In denial, I know you already like her," - Dominick

"Wanna die, Nico? I can do that to prove that I don't like her. Besides, she is a cold person with a rude attitude," - Me

"You're also a cold person with a rude attitude, boss," - Kim

"That hits the bullseye, Allaine," - Dominick

Pfft. Did I just hear her her giggle. Why are you laughing?" I asked seriously.

"Finally, he talked to her. You couldn't stand it, right?" - Kim

I saw Kim chat and turned my gaze to the one next to me.

I was surprised that she swift her attitude in a second. "Do you know that is rude when you're talking to someone's back?" She said with a cold voice. I didn't expect that she knows that we talking about her.

"How did you know?"

"I'm not that idiot to not know that you guys are talking about me," she sounded so hateful but I can see something deep in her eyes.

I just ignored her but I turned to her skirt and I saw ....

I returned my attention to her but my sight caught a figure from the tree outside. I saw an assassin coming forward so I pulled her closer to me and I took the knife under her skirt and cut the assassin's neck that was about to stab us. Her desk and clothes were full of blood but she didn't seem to bother about it. She just looks at it. I'm sure the Consort Slayer sent him.

"So, you are the leader of the Shadows?," she said. Her aura totally change into murderous one. Her eyes turned sharp looking at me. Wait, how does she know about Shadows and me being their leader?

"Based on your actions now, I know you thinking that the Consort Slayer sent him here, right?"

"You know who's Consort slayer is ?"

"It's not good to talk about her here," she pulled me out of the classroom and I motioned for my companions to follow. She brought me to the rooftop.

"Spill it out," I said.

"You're members?," She asked. I nodded as an answer to her.

"Who is Consort Slayer?" I asked.

"I can't tell you for now but I can tell you that every assassin she has, has a symbol A in their arm. So I guess that the assassin who tried to kill you is not part of Midnight Seraphs," So Consort Slayer's group is the Midnight Seraphs. But how does she know a lot about them?

"How do you know so much about them?"

"Do you want to know?"

"Yes,"

"Fine, I know her very well because....."
