Chapter 14
After asking few people around in the shopping district Alex and Julis found themselves in a simple diner.
It was nothing special, perfectly honest they didn't care about posh things as they were too hungry to get picky.
Food was alright and it was not expensive, after that they went up to the clothing store, more like Julis dragged him to the store even if he was willing to go there as it is.
Apart from picking several different types of gloves, Alex got multiple other exercising clothes, even Julis was not holding back when she remembered fancy inventory of her boyfriend.
Once clothing shopping was done both of them went to the Book store.
This is where Alex was disappointed with what he found, more precisely what he did not found.
"I doubt you can find a book on leatherwork in such a regular store," Julis said with a sigh from his side.
"Even less chance of finding on how to refine bones of prehistoric animals." She looked with a deadpan look.
"Well, it was worth trying." He shrugged and ignored her deadpan look, instead he went towards the encyclopedias section.
'Heh, maybe there is something on vegetation… Still, that place is megafauna… maybe a book on ancient fauna instead …' Alex in deep thought walked over and read the covers.
While Julis walked to the other side and went over some book on modern historical events.
She has read some from Alex, but it was more or less just to know the basics, now she wants to learn more in-depth about certain events.
So far the past has fascinated her, she remembered that there are close to 200 countries in the world! Nearly all of them are unique in some way!
This Earth is so much different from hers where corporate powers are leading the world.
'I suppose my birth world didn't properly recovered after the Invertia…' She thought with a sigh, only now she can see the difference between this Earth and her's one.
'For holidays we should go to old place like Rome or Athens…' She thought with excitement. But, then she realises that it's a bad idea…
'Or not… Greek Gods are still around.' The Pink head frowned thinking about that.
'Maybe, they are not active…' She hopefully thought.
Still, she picked up some magazines on holiday destinations with old places in mind, knowing Alex he would like this idea.

After shopping for some books and storing them in Inventory, Julis And Alex then decided to explore the shopping district more and ended up in a miscellaneous items store.
Once again, Julis observed Alex and what he was buying, she saw him take some duct tape and some sharpening tools…
She understood why he was taking those, and can even understand that he is taking that dungeon very seriously.
While Alex was checking stuff he was thinking about what to get for his beautiful girlfriend.
None of the stuff he saw piqued his interest, he saw a jewellery store before, but that was so cliche that he even cringed internally.
The trinkets may look nice and all. But, it doesn't have any other uses…
That's why he remembered that he still has few rolls on his Lottery wheel.
So, when no one was looking at him he called forth his phone and went to R.O.B's app and selected the lottery wheel and then selected the white ticket.
Moments later the wheel glowed white and he saw the prizes on it.
He cringed when he saw the prices, common stuff is so trash compared with other ones, that it pains to look at it.
Still, if there was no supernatural then it might even look not bad.
Like, for example, several different guns, a Ford Mustang… even a yearly subscription of Shonen Jump, followed by a new PS3…
'Right… it's 2008…' Alex released a tired sigh, each time he remembers the year he is in, he feels a year older…
'Well, let's see what I will get…' without thinking much, he pressed the spin button.

[You Get: A new AK-47!]
'Right… I wonder how long will regular bullets help me in such dungeon like mine one?' He deadpanned for a second and pressed [OK].
He then selected another spin…
Once more the wheel turned white and this time Alex didn't check the prizes in details, instead, he just pressed spin.

For a second Alex looked at that, he didn't knew how to react to that.
Should he be happy that he got a chance to visit another world, but what kind of world will be from a common rank ticket?
Some school drama nonsense?
He hummed at that, he might use that when he wants to escape from this insanity which he calls his life now.
He has only been here for two days, but he already on the radar of a Satan class being, Alex does not doubt that Sona's big sis already knows about him.
Plus Sirzechs… who is just behind the corner of Sona's big sister, after all, he was the one who invited him to Kuoh Academy.
'Still, got two more tickets, let's see…' Alex pressed [OK] and selected the last white ticket.
Moments later he pressed the spin button.

'Seriously… that just…'
Alex just pressed [OK], and selected the last remaining ticket, the uncommon rank one.
The Lottery Wheel turned green, and Alex inspected what he can get with this one.
To his surprise, there were quite a bit of Supernatural stuff, like some tomes, and even Sacred Gears…
Well, the Gears were quite rubbish, like Twice Critical...
'Now, I wonder if I could get Booster Gear or Divine Dividing from this? Would that mean a third Dragon Emperor? Or would R.O.B just rip it off from Vali or Issei?'
Alex curiously thought before pressing the spin button.

"Damn…" Alex softly said, he smirked realising this will be a great gift to his Waifu, maybe later she will teach him some trick from this book.
Being taught by a pretty girl is always better than from a book.
After pressing the [OK] Alex pocketed the phone and started to look at the stuff once again.
In the end, he was satisfied with his spins,
'Hmm, I will check the white world travel ticket later, after the shopping is done.'

After returning from shopping, a bunch of homework awaited them.
Once they were done, Alex pulled out his phone and went to Card Deck and summoned the green one.
"Julis, this one is for you." He handed it over to her.
The girl in question looked curiously at it.
Once she read what was written on it, her eyes widened.
"A book, written by Merlin himself!?" She asked with slight awe, even in the future Merlin myth is still know…
"A copy more precisely, this will help you to learn the basics of magic." He explained then he smirked at her.
"I was thinking what to get for you, I felt that book on magic is better than some trinkets we can get in the shopping district."
Julis slowly nodded at that, book on magic is much better than some trinkets!
"Thanks...you…"
She then realised that she didn't get anything for him! Yet they went on abrupt date of sorts!
The girl wanted to kick herself, even with all that excitement Alex remembered to get something for her.
"Don't mention it, I am sure we will find some use in this book."
The Pink Princess has no doubt, she might learn how to recreate her fire arts she used to use with her Prana before the incident.
"So, how to use this card?"
"Focus your intent on it, that's how I did it," Alex explained casually.
"Huh, I see. So, that's how you summoned me, you just intensively gazed at my picture…" Julis teased him back for all those times he called her tsundere.
"Not going to lie, you look stunning in Seidoukan uniform." He answered back to her teasing with a straight face.
"You should already know that I like you, such casual tease will not going to work," Alex said with a growing smirk, as he saw her cheeks turning crimson red.
"Y-You! I will get you back for this teasing!" She turned away from him and focused on her card, moments later it glowed green and shattered into multiple glass line shards which rearranged, then glowed and expanded in size, eventually turning into several inches thick old-style book, with yellow pages.
Julis forgot all about the embarrassment and very curiously checked out the book, her eyes sparkled with curiosity when she opened it.
The awe only grew when she saw that the book was handwritten!
As someone who comes from the future, even seeing a printed book is a rarity. Yet, she has a book written by hand!
Soon enough Julis disappeared into her little world.
Alex could only smile seeing that.
'Yep, best choice ever! Not only she will grow stronger but she will do that while enjoying it.'

While Julis was busy with her new read, Alex pulled all the stuff he got stored in his inventory.
He needs to sort everything out…
Most of the stuff was stackable which was an amazing find.
Otherwise, he could just keep stuff in backpacks, or something similar.
After sorting stuff out and taking Julis stuff to her room, Alex used the new loadout function.
With a flash, his clothes changed into the rags he had in the dungeon.
Same time he felt the familiar feeling appearing on his back and hip.
It was his bow, quiver of arrows and mace.
First, he took his weapons off followed by his rags, then he dressed in new simple exercising clothes.
Yet, Alex was doubtful that these clothes will last, he just had that feeling that THe Dungeon wants him to do things himself, that why he is getting crafting materials to begin with.
Not that he has any idea how to craft stuff, the book store was a bust to begin with, he had a bigger chance to find a book in English in a Japanese book store than a guidebook on tanning a hide.
'Guess I should check Amazon… Wait! is Amazon a thing in 2008?' For second he frowned.
'I can check that later.'
For now, Alex changed his clothes and then focused on the quiver of arrows.
He counted them, he remembered that he fried one when he practised Electrical Empowerment, and the other two…
'I shoot two at those wolves… does it means it still stuck in those wolves? But, didn't I killed one? Does the bodies of those wolves disappear?' For a second Alex thought about the events of last night.
He didn't have much chance to see the wolf corpse…
As it is he still has 27 arrows…
After checking the arrows he checked his bow.
It was a simple Yew Longbow, he inspected the side and if there is any cracks or signs of wear.
'This is quite impressive, even when I used my empowerment the bow is still solid!'
'No wonder English nearly owned France in hundred-year war thanks to these bows!' Alex marvelled at the bow for a second.
He could feel how natural it is for him to use the bow.
'I guess it's the Markman Skill, it's on the lowest level. Yet, it already make me feel natural while holding the bow.' After inspect the bow Alex put it back and focused on the mace.
His face slighly got serious when he saw bloodstains on it.
'So, even that gets carried over…'
For a second he looked at the rags in corner of his room.
There were some dried up blood there too.
'Yeah… cleaning that first, then sharpening the arrows…'
'I guess no training for today before going to the dungeon.'
