Chapter 20

Raiden Mei was walking to the new school alongside her brutal teacher and the other three girls.

The girl had black bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. It has been three days since her life turned into a living hell.

She should have listened to her father, he always said that 'haste makes waste'. The dark purple-haired girl wanted to swiftly return to her old life. But she has stupidly decided to live in Raynold's house to train more.

Now she was part of his ridiculous self-torturing lifestyle.

Through her eyes ended up on the three girls… Those three girls are part of this ridiculous lifestyle as well…

Especially Kiana Kaslana… This girl… was just as mad as her trainer…she always trains with him, and she even does the majority of the same things he does.

Even after that, she hangs around him like some sort of puppy.

'Or cat… No wonder he calls her 'Kitten'...'

Raiden Mei was wondering what is the business between those two…

Eventually, they arrived at the school. Though Mei could only sigh that she was at the centre of attention once again.

This time not because she is rich, but because she was part of 'the group'. As ridiculous as it sounds but people in this place are utterly stupid or mentally challenged. They see Herschers as some sort of idol! All of them!

Don't they know that the two first Herrschers went wild!? First, one erupted in Berlin and turned everyone into zombies. The second one was throwing meteorites from space!

How crazy is it now? Less than ten years after the last eruption, people are treating Herrschers like Heroes from movies!

Regardless, thankfully she is older than Raynold and Kiana so she is in higher classes. So she gets some quiet time.

Though a few hours later when it was time for the main break something happened!

"Did you hear! That new P.E. teacher from the Far East is challenging Raynold to a spar!"

"Whoa! Are you for real!? Do you think he will transform!?"

"No idea man! We need to check it out!"

The pair rushed out and Mei looked at this with a small frown. What on earth is that all about?

"Aren't you interested to see how strong he is? He has been training you for a few days now. Aren't you interested to see what he is all about?" A honey-blond girl asked Mei.

Mei in question looked at this girl with some curiosity. Something was….off about this girl.

She looks far too mature to be in this place.

"I suppose… I would like to see what this hype is all about." As the dark purple-haired girl said that she was about to stand up but her legs twitched for a bit and refused to listen.

A small, embarrassed blush appeared on her cheeks. She was this tired?

"Do you need help?" The red-eyed girl asked with a small smile.

"...I think I can handle this…"

After a few tries, she stood up and proceeded to slowly walk towards the doors.

Rita looked at the girl who is classified as the future 5th Herrecher.

Her first impression is that she is a classic high-class girl, with a high amount of pride. Though she is wondering if being exposed to Raynold's training would impact how quickly she develops as Herrscher. The high amount of emotion impacts how swiftly one changes into Herrscher.

Though…does this even impact them now that Mei is exposed to Raynold's energy?

The honey-blonde Valkyrie could only massage her forehead for a bit. Her Valkyrie knowledge is mixed up with what she learned here.

'I guess, I go along with the situation, this place is just one shock after another…'

The girl followed Mei and went outside.

Her eyebrow slightly went up as she saw the number of school kids who are going to watch this.

If she is not wrong there is nearly everyone who is going to watch this!

"Mei! Over here!"

A familiar voice of Kiana got the frowning Mei's attention. Rita followed the gaze and saw the waving hand of the white-haired girl.

"I got some space, let's go."

Seeing that Mei was with the honey-blond girl as well didn't phase the Herrscher of Void. She grabbed the pairs of hands and used her Void's powers.

For a second they were in some sort of dark grey reality before exiting back to school grounds.

Mei for a second was confused about what she saw, while Rita was extremely composed even if she was exposed to such a thing at a moment's notice.

Though she did understand how…convenient such power is.

"...Did you just abuse your powers to get the best view?" Mei asked with a shocked look. This is…so irresponsible!

"Uhhh…No? We were here already." Kiana rolled her eyes and pointed at Bronya and Seele who were standing next to them.

"And besides, it's Raynold's fight we automatically get THE best seats in the building!"

"We are outside Kiana idiotka…" Bronya said with an eye roll.

Kiana's eyebrow twitched when she was called an idiot even if it was in Russian!

"You get my point!"

The girl huffed before looking forward, the rest did the same. Rita was curious to see how far this fight would go. Will Raynold need to transform to keep up with her commander?

"Don't you think this is against the rules? To fight in school? At least in my previous school, it was." Mei said with a slightly worried tone.

"Hmm…I guess? Normally? Though if I remember correctly there are exemptions in the rule book. One of them is related to being an…Herrscher. Just don't tell Raynold that I used this word. It fits better with the context." Kiana said with a grin.

"So Herrschers get exemptions?" Mei said with an eye roll. Now that sounds like rule abuse.

"Depending on the context, alright? Ray's old man made sure we don't get too many leeways and at the same time people can't use us for many leeways. He made sure we don't get too angry with the situation." Kiana explained with a small smile.

'Curious… It appears Raynold's father is trying to keep the balance. However…how long will people's greed hold this back?' Rita curiously thought as she looked forward.

The pair of martial artists started to circle each other. It appears the spar has started. This is the first time the Honey Blond Valkyrie sees Raynold in action instead of watching a video. Even in the videos he is using his Herrscher powers. This however is pure hand-to-hand combat.

She is wondering does he has a fighting style or its pure self—

Her eyes widened for a second as she witnessed him proceeding to slowly escalate what looks something similar to Kung Fu!?

"Whoa…Ray started with Tiger Fist from the very beginning of the spar!?" The White-haired Void Queen exclaimed with impressed shock.

"Tiger Fist? That sounds quite…" The Future Herrscher of Thunder commented with an uncertain tone.

"Chunni? I know what you mean… Though you stop saying that—"

*Tiger Roar*

"When he starts to make Chunni the real deal…" Kiana said with a small smile as she looked at the spar.

Rita slowly nodded as well as she was trying to process what she was seeing. There is a white tiger avatar of some sort behind Raynold which is moving similarly to his body movement.

The moment this thing manifested Commander Fu Hua was on complete defence. From facial reading, Rita can see that each of the Herrscher of Stars strikes carries a lot of force.

The honey-blond Valkyrie is paying extra attention to understand more from what she saw.

So far all she could see is that Raynold Westwood is some sort of beast of Martial Arts…his age doesn't fit with his ability to fight.

This is something she needs to report to the HQ…though she is pretty sure the Overseer already knows this.

With another claw attack, he made Commander Fu Hua take several steps back.

'It appears she will lose if he continues with such tempo… does he even get tired? He is not channelling any of his Herrscher abilities… wait! do they have some sort of passive abilities even if energy is not flowing from the core?'

As Rita was thinking the fight continued and Raynold continued to get more and more unrestrained. It was absurd to watch for the Valkyrie. It's like he can build more and more momentum…by this point, it was no longer a fight but more like the Herrscher making her commander dance according to his tune…

Then…

It happened… Her commander simply…gave up.

'...'

The Valkyrie looked at the girls next to her. The Void Queen was puffing her chest. While the Herrscher of Life and Death had stars in her eyes. The Ash-coloured girl had a thoughtful look, while the Future Herrscher of Thunder had her arms crossed. She had a look of respect.

'I do hope this made the Commander see whatever she wanted to see… Because from my understanding, Raynold Westwood just won Raiden Mei over.'

Fu Hua looked at her twitching hands. It was as if she was trying to punch steel walls!

'What kind of nonsense I just experienced!?'

What she experienced was Honkai's manipulation on two levels!

He made one stream of energy flow into his hands to give an increase in power and reaction speed then he used intent based to give existence to his martial arts…

This was something of an absurdity on a level she has not seen before.

This has confirmed that he was indeed a reincarnation of some sort of warrior.

"You are something else, Raynold Westwood." Fu Hua said with a small smile. It has been a very long time since she met anyone like this. She is quite certain that in this day and age, people abandoned pure martial arts and instead focused on technological support to help in the fight against Honkai.

"Hmm…I should say that. You kept up with me until I needed to step into supernatural strength to get an upper hand. That tells the sheer experience you have Teacher Fu Hua."

'Oh? So he noticed… as expected.'

Internally she smiled at him. So he realised that she is not what she supposed to look like he noticed the gap in looks and experience.

'The only reason I didn't lose outright was my hundreds of years of experience.' Fu Hua slightly sweat dropped. If she was something less than that then he would have utterly crushed her.

"Same can be said about you. You have way too much experience for a mere 10-year-old." She said with a knowing look.

"I guess… Life can be weird, Teacher Fu Hua." He smiled mysteriously at her.

"You don't say…" She said that while shaking her head she then looked at all the kids surrounding them.

"Alright everyone returns to your classes." Her louder voice snapped everyone out of their utter movie-like experience.

Next movement all the kids erupted into chatter.

'I guess, I overdid it…I stayed in St.Freya too long.' Fu Hua forgot that this was not Valkyrie school but regular school…

Fights like these never happen here.

As she was thinking warm energy washed her over and her twitching hands were healed!

"See you later Teacher."

At that moment she realised that Raynold had healed her before going with the rest of the kids back into the school.

'Hmm…so this is when Herrscher's power is used to benefit humans instead of being used against them. Interesting…'

"Commander. That was quite rash of you. Now everyone will know that you challenged him to a fight."

"You could say it was a spur of a moment. I completely forgot that we were in regular school and not Valkyrie one." Fu Hua said with a small embarrassed look.

"...I am quite certain that Valkyrie schools are not like this…" Rita said with a confused look.

"It was… recently… Some of us even wonder why we are even there…" The Martial Artist Valkyrie said while looking towards Raynold.

With his appearance… Do they even need to sacrifice that many girls?
