Chapter 27

"Ray wants to sink the Titanic again!!!" Roza rushed into the kitchen where the rest of the girls were.

Mei, who was preparing salads, stopped in her tracks and looked at the pink-haired girl with horror.

"He wants to do what!?" The Thunder Queen who was all up to watch one of the best tragic romance movies was horrified.

"H-He was constantly dissing about—and it's just horrible!!!"

Mei and confused Kiana dropped whatever they were doing and swiftly walked to the living room. They were followed by Lili and Seele who were even more confused. How can he sink something which has already been sunk?

What they saw was…nothing they expected!

It was just Raynold talking with Bronya about the DVDs. Though one could see that the ash-coloured girl was having a hard time keeping up with the teen.

"W-What happened?" Mei asked swiftly as she gazed at the pair.

"Hmm?"

"A-Ask him about the Titanic!" Roza said from behind Mei and Kiana.

"This again? Why do you want me to change my opinion of that disgusting event?"

This only got even more confusing…

"What do you mean?"

"Ray thinks that the whole thing is disturbing as the guy didn't save the ship or the people, in the end, he killed himself by not swimming."

"..."

It took a few moments of the process which Bronya explained to Mei and the girls.

Kiana finally had a realistic look. She understood what Bronya meant.

In other words the looks of perspectives.

"...Ray…the whole thing is an accident which happened to normal people. They don't cultivate like us, they don't have powers like us." The Queen of Thunder said while massaging her forehead.

Maybe the whole movie thing was a bad idea. Just let Raynold watch his boxing or mixed martial arts matches.

Instead, he just raised his hands in defeat seeing that Mei was getting frustrated.

"I am only saying that you are showing what can happen to normal people who want to live normal lives; they are exposed to mundane threats. Something which is disturbing to me." He explained to her while shrugging at the end.

"...Fine…I suppose I didn't consider how you going to view it." Mei sighed. As it's probably the reason why he trains this much so that stuff like that could not happen in the first place.

"Yes. Now if you excuse me. I am picking a movie I am going to watch."

"..."

All the girls just sighed at the same time. Since this is the care they all returned to do their things. Even Rozaliya followed back even though she is pretty much useless in the kitchen.

Even Kiana is more useful than her.

Around 30 minutes later the doorbell rang and Raynold walked over to open the doors.

When he saw who it was he could only smile…it was quite strained.

It was the maid…

Or more like the girl who wants to be a maid.

According to her, she was inspired by a maid. She seeks that perfection.

Honestly, Raynold tried to ignore and dodge this girl as much as he could over the couple of years he knew her. He doesn't know how to behave around her.

As this girl makes him feel weird.

"Good day to you Raynold. How have you been?" She spoke with a soft and friendly tone which made him want to hug her.

"I am fine, Rita."

"Good to hear. I hope you didn't cut more mountains recently?"

"...No, not that I could recall."

As he said that he motioned her to enter.

The girl did it elegantly. Raynold offered her some slippers which she took gracefully.

Honestly, even after his father became the President nothing much has changed. His old man only accepted the position with a bunch of stipulations. One of them was days off and stuff like that.

With three Herrschers around the special services protecting him aren't needed so their casual life could easily continue.

Though the house is now far more often empty so sleepovers like this can happen more often.

"I See…does this mean you have more time now? You did train Mei to a respectable level."

As she said that she got slightly closer to him.

"I did try several things you proposed to do. Though it doesn't have the same effects."

'Holy…is she going on the offensive now!?'

For a second Raynold pulled back.

"We shall see…"

The girl slightly pouted at him. Showing a hurtful look.

"I think you are just avoiding me."

"..."

The teen didn't say anything, instead he just proceeded to return to the living room.

Though Rita had a thoughtful look. She is wondering why he is so… mechanical around her while he is so natural around others. Even around her Commander, there is a certain warrior-like vibe around them when they are around each other.

This is something she wants to figure out while being here.

'Thankfully the command is extremely lax with this mission. It's as if they don't care anymore.'

However, such a thing has been driving her mad. She wants progress! Her perfectionist nature demands it!

This way she wants to go on the offence!

But, first, she needs to figure out why he is so mechanical around her.

'It should not be my Valkyrie identity. If it was, I should be removed by this point.'

As She was thinking about it, the maid Valkyrie arrived in the living room. One of her eyebrows went up. She could see loads of blankets, pillows, and other things…

When Mei said it's going to be a 'sleepover' she damn meant it.

"Girls are in the kitchen," Raynold said while pointing at the kitchen with his finger. After doing that he just floated and ended up sitting in a cushioned armchair. A book floated out from a small wormhole; he then proceeded to read it.

It was some sort of book with a Greek symbol for alpha on its cover.

Seeing that he has lost interest in her she proceeded to walk into the kitchen area.

Her eyebrows once again went up. She was baffled to see this many girls doing something.

"Oh, Rita you are here! Help me to carry this to the living room!"

"Certainly."

"I propose Die Hard! From first to last!" Rozaliya said while showing a DVD case with a Bald guy on the cover.

"If we are talking about classics then we should watch Back to the future!" Bronya said as she pulled out her DVD cases with an iconic car on them.

'It still baffles me how many of the movies are the same as they were in my world. Even if current civilization is considered remnants from previous.

Hold it… wasn't their similar shit back in my old world? *Sigh* Whatever. Let that stuff be sorted out by researchers and science weebs.'

Raynold internally shrugged as he watched from the side how the girls were discussing and bickering about what to watch.

Eventually, Mei had enough and proceeded to turn on the TV and put a disc in on her own without telling anyone.

This made Bronya and the rest look at her as if she just killed their puppy.

"What? I am tired of waiting and we are wasting time."

"...What did you put in?"

"...Hmm, let me see…"

"You didn't even check!?"

"It was in the pile which we declared as we should watch." The Dark purple-haired Heiress said with a not-caring shrug.

Eventually, everyone found out that it was a romantic comedy named 'Bruce Almighty'.

It was how the dude became THE God and all the shenanigans which are followed after.

The whole thing was…interesting…and quite amusing. Though Raynold did get some ideas from this…

Could he pull the moon closer like how Bruce did?

With a rope… Now that is a challenge!

Though true in the middle of the movie, somehow Kiana ended up sitting next to him… Then half an hour later Mei was sitting on his other side.

Then… Bronya….Seele… All of them ended up sitting around him. Thankfully he was on the ground with a bunch of pillows otherwise he would feel…

Pinned down.

After the comedy, Rozaliya used that moment when all the girls were around Raynold and decided to put Die Hard on disc.

Honestly, Raynold is impressed that they know such old movies in the first place.

But the reason is that they grew up in the orphanage and got some old stuff from other people they saw the movie from, handed down DVDs and similar stuff.

Thankfully Raynold saw this movie before and he is quite happy about watching an action movie instead of something like Titanic…

"It's so cool how he takes down the whole skyscraper full of terrorists!"

"It's alright for a normal guy," Kiana commented casually as she took a bite from her own sandwiches. At that moment she had a crafty look. She saw how seriously Raynold was watching the movie. He is always like that. It's like it's another form of training for him to pay attention to the movements of actors and stuff like that.

He could even tell when a body double is in the action instead of the original actor. His paying attention to things related to action and movements is simply absurd.

But this is where his shortcomings come to play!

Kiana decided to be sneaky about this and offered her half-eaten sandwich to him.

Which he ate without even looking at it!

Her eyes gleamed with amusement when she saw how he didn't even check or registered what she offered.

Though the next moment she started to blush silly.

As it was an indirect kiss!

However, that moment Mei saw this and her eyes got quite serious. At that moment she proceeded to feed him as well! Though her way was much more… Suggestive with her intentions!

[Heh…you started a war here. If it was me I would have started very big from the very beginning.]

'Like you? You mean dropping meteorites?' Kiana said with a sarcastic tone.

[Hmm…that was me being naughty and just being sadistic. Nothing like now. You should end up sitting on his lap and feeding him like that. It would lock out Mei from trying anything.

Something you can't do anymore as she noticed and moved in to block you off.]

'...'

[Yes, you messed up. Not as romantic as Mei.]

'On what side are you?'

[My own. Which means on your side.]

'Doesn't feel like it.'

[You don't need to feel it.]

Internally Kiana just sighed and ended up just leaning into Raynold's shoulder while Mei continued to 'work' by keeping feeding him.

Funny how other girls noticed this and ended up showing all sorts of weird expressions with this kind of development.

By the time it was around 2 after midnight, everyone ended up falling asleep and it was up to Raynold to turn off the lights and the TV.

The issue with this was that he was surrounded and reduced to a body pillow.

Though he decided to resign to the fact that he needed to use alternatives on how to do all that.

Thankfully he has trained his gravity powers relentlessly through the years.

So he ended up turning everything off with slight use of Gravity. First was the lights as the swift just went down and then the TV as he ended up 'pressing' the button.

"Impressive. Or you could just ask me to do it."

The quiet haughty voice said as Kiana lifted her head and looked at him.

It was not Kiana…her eyes were golden orange.

"...Sirin…"

"Yep. I did want to see if I could do this." As she said that she sat up and Inspected herself.

"I didn't know Kiana has this amount of trust to allow you to take over."

"Oh, nothing like that." The White-haired Herrscher said while shaking like that.

"I can't be the 'dominant' personality since my one is directly tied to being the supportive power. Thanks to your machinations." She said that with a small pout. Though she swiftly changed her gears and instead leaned right back at him and ended up cuddling like a cat.

She won't waste such a great opportunity to cuddle!
