Inside a crystal fortress, as a blizzard roared outside. A tall figure was focused on the crystal screen in front of him. He has short black hair with a slender toned body on display as he swapped clothes. On the screen was a black figure that had no real shape besides its humanoid figure.
"Do we know anything about this thing?"
Naturally the one inside the fortress was Jason. Since the emergence of Sentry a few months ago, this figure has appeared. At first it was quite weak, but it was rapidly growing in strength. Almost as if every life the Sentry saved it had to kill ten more, and he was always one step behind it.
"I'm sorry, I am unable to determine anything." Lilith explained. "There is no energy signature or way to track it. It could be in New York one moment and Beijing the next."
"We have to find it and stop it. Every time it appears dozens die and I get a feeling it's only getting warmed up."
"Even if we find it, how do we plan to stop it? It doesn't have a solid body and can travel faster than you." Lilith explained. "It might even be able to kill you."
"Maybe, but Lilith this being has to be stopped. Far too many lives have been cut short and we don't need more on the pile."
"You know if you fight this being, untold destruction may occur and many might be caught in the crossfire." Lilith said sadly as she knows it will take its toll on him. 'If you lose this world will lose its best defender and guardian. Even if you resurrect the same can't be said about your heart to be a hero.'
"I can only do my best to keep it to a minimum." Jason let out a sad sigh.
Lilith looked down at him sadly before a window appeared next to her. "The creature has just spotted Master. It is currently over London and moving south fast."
Not needing to be told twice, Jason prepared to take off before seeing the suit on display. With no hesitation he took it out and put it on as he took off. The red cape fluttered behind him as the blue suit displayed his muscles with a dazzling S on his chest. Courage filled his heart as he raced towards the upcoming battle.
--
Finding the creature in a small town alongside the southern coastline of the UK. A town that once had life, but now blood and decay filled its streets. Infants, elderly and everything in between laid dead as a shadowy being giggled in joy.
Crashing down behind the creature as the concrete cracked under his feet. Jason studied the being and learned it truly wasn't a physical being. It was as if it was a shapeless entity.
"What are you?" He asked.
"You don't need to know." The figure said before vanishing in front of him.
Even with his eyesight, Jason could barely see the blurs. Barely raising his arms in defense, he felt pain rack through his arms as he found himself bouncing across the land. Turning his body, he let out a heavy kick, but besides a large gust of wind. Jason felt as if his body was being torn apart as phased through the creature.
"Still alive?" The thing said slightly surprised, but only slightly.
"Please your puppy strength isn't enough to hurt me." Jason taunted, ignoring the slight soreness.
'Remember Jason, when you meet beings that can make you feel pain. Don't show weakness.' James' words from training echoed through his head.
Instead of replying to his taunts with words, the creature laughed as he swiped his claw-like hands. As the claws phased into his body, Jason resisted the best he could as he unleashed a devastating punch to the creature's head. Only this time he added a small bit of chi to his fist and found the creature flying away like a cannonball.
'Great, at least I found something that can hurt him.' Jason thought as he wiped the small bit of blood from his mouth.
While the sun was rapidly healing him, it wasn't fast enough. At the speed this being can move and attack him, he didn't dare rely on his regeneration powers. The less damage he takes the better off he will be.
In less than a few seconds since he sent the being off, it returned and Jason felt himself involuntary flying once more. Countering once more, as he unleashed his heat vision, he flinched at the sudden pain. Only it soon manipulated its body and the heat vision soon passed through it.
As if two titans or godly beings, the two fight soon took to the sky and the rest of the world. From Europe to Africa deserts and across Asia. It soon became the center of attention across the world as the media outlets tried it best to keep up with them.
"You can not stop me, for I am the Void." the creature shouted angrily. "I am eternal as long there is darkness in the universe."
"It matters not if you are immortal or not. For when you appear I will be there to stop you." Jason said.
While he was heavily battered and felt the sunlight almost in overdrive in an attempt to heal his wounds. Jason stood tall not showing weakness nor fear like an almighty being capable of withstanding anything thrown at him.
Angered by his words, the darkness turned into a large hurricane ball of darkness. Quickly using freezing breath, Jason encased the being into a large ball of ice. While it wouldn't hold it for long it was enough to slow it down.
Lifting the giant cube of ice, he rushed towards outer space. His destination was the sun and even if he doubted it would kill this being. It should be able to trap him for a time given him time to find a more permanent solution.
'While the sun may empower me, being this close hurts.' Jason thought as he gained more speed and strength the closer he drew. Hurling the cube containing the void into the sun, he watched as the being struggled to escape before finally being drawn in.
Rushing back to Earth as Jason felt himself weakening. From over drafting his powers he could feel himself falling into a weak period. As he crashed into his fortress, he could barely stand as he could see his breath and a chill running through his body.
"Hey, Lilith, can you call my father?" Jason said as he collapsed unconscious.
