The Last Effort

Rin looked down as she tried to evade the deep glare of Moxi who was staring directly into her eyes.

'It's my fault.'

Rin mumbled as her eyes shook while her hands trembled.

Flashbacks appeared in her mind. She could see herself rejecting the idea of Vlad and instead of telling him and Eren that they should go for Moxi first.

"If only we had taken the big brothers first."

Rin hardly completed her words while Moxi brought his face right before hers as he looked at her with a smile.

Currently, to him, Rin was nothing more than an enemy that he had to defeat even if it was a spar.

Being too dull and taking her and her group lightly was his mistake while Rin thought that going at Moxi from the start was her mistake.

But, the result would have stayed the same.

"Hah, only you are left."

Moxi whispered in Rin's ears while looking past her.
