Chapter 05 : A Blink of Past (Past mysteries)

He opened the factory and made a setup.

He arranged everything that could easily ensnare demon in order to subdue him.

He arranged the darkness, the blood, the beautiful maiden, and all other things in a certain way, and built a certain fence which the devil could not cross. He was quite ready to catch the demon. At a specific time, he began to started reciting the Holy juju which was specific to summoning the devil.

As soon as he started reciting that holy juju, the doors and windows started shutting and opening by themselves. All the iron objects there were collapsed automatically.

Everything single thing there began to shatter and tremble. Candles blew out by a gust of wind but he didn't stop reciting the holy juju.

Suddenly a boy entered the factory and In the blink of an eye , despite Arthur's prohibition , he broke that line and at the very next moment his dead body hung in the air. Seeing all this.... Arthur's breath got stuck.

As soon as the line was cut, he felt as if someone was strangling him. He tried to emancipate himself but failed. He then, starting reciting holy juju loudly but he realized that the demon was balkier.

He barely managed to find the IHS monogram from the ground , which he could use to weaken demon's power . As soon as he raised it in front of demon, he became weaken and his grip got loosen on Arthur's neck.

Arthur immediately pushed him out of the circle , instantly completed the circle and began to recite the Holy juju again .

Arthur's move angered Demon. He got even more furious. He hurried towards Arthur in anger but when he came near the circle he started burning , screaming he backed away but he was badly burnt .

While helding his breath Arthur was watching him , meantime , was reciting the holy juju aloud.

He had saved his life but now he did not have that strength to fight the demon. His spiritual strength was weakened.

He changed his mind for the time being and wrapped up everything , he came out of the factory by creating an unseen siege on himself through magic.

He thought of doing this later because he was very weak at the time , even this magic of his could only keep him safe from demon for a while because his spiritual powers are very weak , Were falling.

Demon's single attack had weakened him.

He now realized that the demon was stronger and more powerful than he thought , he could not fight him alone.

It took him a year and a half to regain his spiritual strength after returning from Memphis . Now he had experience and strength more than before but the problem was that he could not fight the demon alone.

This time he devised a plan to ensnare Demon.

According to the plan, he started looking for someone who could be the next victim of this devil. The man could have been anyone in the world , but luckily Emilia came to him a few days after his search.

Emilia informed him of all the circumstances . She herself had escaped from the devil but her son Peter was badly trapped. He was completely seduced by the devil.

Now they had to somehow save Peter from the clutches of this devil , otherwise he would have killed Peter at any moment.

Now, two years later, it was time to come up with a new trick to defeat the devil . He needed Emilia for.....and Emilia was fully prepared to help him.

He told her about maximum trials for "witchcraft" that involved death attributed to wicked magic were probably caused by poisoning. " Lady Alice Kyteler in Ireland in 1324 was charged with doing magical rites that involves having sexual intercourse with devil in order to divine the future . In this process she poisoned her first three husbands. "

Also he told Emilia that "Peter had dealed with the demon (Faustian bargain or Mephistophelian bargain) . It's a pact between Peter and Satan or a lesser demon in which Peter offers his soul in exchange for diabolical favours such as ; Knowledge, wealth , power or fame" and also about all the dangers they would face and she was full of support for Arthur in every possible way. She assured Arthur of her full support because she just wanted to save her son from this terrible demon.

Arthur was sure that this time he would defeat that stubborn demon anyway.

Emilia did not tell Peter about her meeting with Arthur , nor did Peter tell her about any meeting.

Nowadays, they did not talk to each other. A strange cold war was going on between them.

Even after living in the same house, they both ignored each other as if they don't even exist.

Arthur's school was going on the same way . Every day someone would come home with some complaint . He was suspended from school four times and he was punished three times as cleaning the school basement but he did not stop fighting.

Day by day his anger and madness was growing up . He had become notorious throughout the school as an "Self Asserting Boy" because of the daily fightings but Peter didn't give a damn care. His attitude towards everyone was quite arrogant. He was completely changed.

He tried hard to find out about that girl Natasha..... but he couldn't find her trace . She was just like as she Don't even exist.

Peter went to her house to find out about her but he came to know that she was living with her old granny and after her death she suddenly disappeared weirdly. He tried to find out about it from Natasha's friends but nobody knew about her.

Emilia was promoted, she was very happy but Peter suddenly did not want to see her face even . His attitude towards Emilia was very humiliating. Emilia was very upset because of his behavior but could not do anything so , she was just silent.

Now Emilia had applied for Leave because she had to go to Memphis with Arthur but Peter did not know . She tried her best to hide it from Peter.

Seven years ago Charley Bucket died in a road accident and left his wife and four children alone.

After his death Emilia began to work hard to meet her expenses.

She had four sons. Clarke bucket was eldest of all. He was living in Birmingham with his girlfriend and oftenly visits his parents just to ask for money.

Joseph bucket was the second son, he was studying in Russia and then came Peter Bucket who was living with his mother and the last one was Stephan bucket who was youngest of all and was studying at boarding.

It wasn't easy to afford them all, but Emilia was managing.

She was making mutton chops in the kitchen when Peter entered the kitchen while screaming.

"What's this mom? where are you going.... Memphis! seriously! haha.... is it your new so called search or rescue operation ?" His tone was quite humiliating.

Emilia sighs.

"Yes! " she simply replied and dip the chops in boiling oil.

He looked at Emilia with strange eyes as if he was saying really!

Emilia just ignored him and focused on the chops.

He stared her for a while. His gaze was quite lamentable. He left the kitchen angrily.

Emilia Exhale.

They both left for Memphis . They were at air port. Emilia was sad and tensed for Peter and Arthur was thinking about his next step.

Arthur had learned a lot from his past mistakes. This time he was not going to make the same mistakes. His plan was fully prepared and he was hopeful that this time the victory would be his.

But Arthur had forgotten that as he had increased his spiritual power, so the same way demon had destroyed many innocents and was now more powerful than ever.

Arthur had forgotten the most important thing in hybris , which was the first step to his destruction...!
