Kilgrave's eyes widened and seemed to fill with light as though he had found his salvation. He rushed forwards the figure as he called out.
"Jessica! You came to save me! I knew you'd come around!" He called out as he reached out to grab her only to fall to his knees when the woman backed out of his reach. Her facial expression seemed to shift between caution, hate and confusion. Jessica could see his lips moving but it seemed as though his voice was muffled, like someone pressed a pillow of a speaker. Kilgrave's expression warped from hope to desperation at the sight of her recoiling away from him.
"Help me Jessica! Save me! Protect me from him!" Kilgrave continued to call out to her only to watch as she grew even more bewildered at the sight. He crawled forward again and grabbed onto the bottom of her jeans before she pulled herself out of his grasp.
"She can't hear you Kilgrave. No one can." Mikael's voice rang out vibrating through the air. He stepped out of the darkness and into the light of a streetlight drawing the attention of the two towards himself. Jessica then watched is shock as Kilgrave began to crawl backs attempting to put more distance between him and Mikael.
"Who the hell are you?" Jessica asked as Mikael began walking towards Kilgrave.
"The one that's going to correct his parents mistake." Mikael responded as he gave her a brief glance before turning his attention back to Kilgrave.
"Why are you doing this to me? What did I do to deserve this?" Kilgrave cried out as he struggled and failed to get up.
"You exist." Mikael answered as he reached out his hand and clenching his fingers. Kilgrave felt as the air tightened around his body as his arms were pulled tight against his side before he found himself lifted off the ground.
"Tell me Kilgrave, how does it feel to be so weak, to know fear? How does it feel to be as powerless as everyone you've ever manipulated and hurt?" Mikael asked as he brought Kilgrave closer to him. Jessica watched from the side in shock as Kilgrave squirmed and begged silently. She hated him, she wanted him dead but she never would have imagined that she would ever see the day that Kilgrave would show the look of terror he was showing now.
"Jessica! Please! Stop him! Save me!" Kilgrave tried again to call out to her, hoping that she would hear him and do as he asked. Mikael turned his head to Jessica as he addressed her.
"Miss Jessica is it? Tell me what would you like to do?"
"What?" Jessica responded caught off guard by the sudden question.
"You came here following him with hatred in your heart and murder on your mind. You clearly wanted to do something. I now offer you the opportunity to do whatever you wish to him. So what would you like to do?" Mikael asked again.
"I...I want him dead. I want him to suffer for everything he's done to me."
"Very well, but you know that once you've killed once it becomes easier to kill again right?"
"Shouldn't the same be said for you?"
"Yes but the difference between me and you is that one I'm prepared for this and two this isn't personal for me. I'm not killing him to make myself feel better, I'm killing him because he deserves to die his existence threatens my loved ones." Mikael responded as he watched Jessica grow silent while looking at the ground.
"Regardless, the choice is ultimately yours. I offer it to you since you have the personal stake in this." Mikael said as he pushed Kilgrave on his knees. Jessica stood in silence as she contemplated her choice all while Mikael listened to Kilgrave beg and pleaded for her to help him. Jessica looked up from the ground as she glared at Kilgrave. She walked up to him and pushed him onto his back before she lifted her leg and brought it slamming back down. Even Mikael flinched and grimaced as he watched as Jessica's boot smashed down right on Kilgrave's crotch. The sound of bones breaking and fleshing ripping and tearing was accompanied by a loud scream that bypassed even the partial cloaking Mikael had placed on Kilgrave. Jessica spat on Kilgrave's body before she stepped away.
Mikael lifted Kilgrave back into the air as he listened to him whined and pleaded. Kilgrave's face now covered in tears and snot, his suit now in completely disarray while his trouser were now noticeably darker.
"Alright I've wasted enough time, it's time you disappeared. Permanently." Mikael said as he threw Kilgrave high into the sky. He watch and listened as the screams grew distant before raising a hand unleashing a stream of force lightning towards Kilgrave as bolts of lightning fell from the sky to meet his. He watched as the lightning crashed into Kilgrave's body from both sides as white light filled the sky. He could make out a faint silhouette of a body that began to seemingly melt away from view. When the lightning strikes faded there was no longer any sign of Kilgrave's body but bones that quickly scattered to ash in the wind as the dark clouds began to part and clear up.
"Well that's one problem solved. Time to go home." Mikael said brushing off his hands before he turned to be met with the shocked face of Jessica as she stared at him wide eyed.
"Why are you still here? Go home. Job's done." Mikael told her as he started making his way out of the park.
"Wait, you still haven't told me who you are." Jessica yelled out as she spun around after him only to find that he's disappeared from view. She looked around briefly trying to find any trace of him before she started to make her way out of the park, looking to put as much distance between her and the empty park.
As Mikael was returning home, he was unaware of the chaos he had caused for a certain group of people. Just minutes after he and Jessica went their separate ways, a group of well dressed figures walked into the clearing they left.
"Sir, there's nothing here. There doesn't look to be anything present that could've caused the storm." One of the figures stated into their phone as they stood surrounded by their companions.
"Keep searching. A storm like that doesn't just appear without any signs or warnings and move halfway across the city before disappearing into thin air." A cold voice rang out from the phone.
"Yes sir, I'll see what I can find." The figure responded before putting the phone away.
"I need a vacation." They added as they began to slowly comb over the scene. After spending half an hour searching the group only managed to find were three sets of footprints, two of which abruptly disappeared, and a single piece of purple fabric that was singed on all sides. The group left the park following the final set of prints and as they faded from view a glowing circle appeared amidst the trees, expanding as a robes and bald woman stepped out.
"That's interesting. Perhaps I should meet him soon after all." The woman said as she briefly looked up to the sky before walking back through the glowing circle as it closed behind her and disappeared.
