Chapter forty-nine 

Tang Wudi's dark guard were left to deal with the Song family. Tang Wudi held Ying Zetian hands as they bluntly walked out of the Song family home. The public were left to stare at the still strange sight of two men holding hands together. When Tang Wudi and Ying Zetian had walked a distance away from the Song family residence. Coming back to Tang Wudi and Ying Zetian, they have already walked to a stall where hoops were thrown to catch items. Ying Zetian was too engrossed in throwing the hoops to notice that Tang Wudi was also happily engrossed in an indirect kiss session with her as he happily eats every strawberry of the bingtanghulu that Ying Zetian had taken a bite of. As expected, the stall holder happily went home for the day and the prizes were all carried by Ying Zetian dark guards as they continue shopping their way through the night market of Changan.

It was rarely that Ying Zetian had changed her position with Tang Wudi. Today Ying Zetian was acting like a child who have not grown up, yet which was Tang Wudi usual role. Tang Wudi on the other hand was acting like an elder brother which was Ying Zetian usual role. By this time, Ying Zetian slaps her head as if she had forgotten something and run into one of her jewelry shops that belong to her identity as the Rose. Tang Wudi was too slow to stop Ying Zetian from slapping her own head, so he waits outside of the jewellery shop for Ying Zetian. While waiting, Tang Wudi also took the chance to prepare a scolding for Ying Zetian.

Ying Zetian had successfully launched the fad of wearing rings for married or yet to marry couples in Changan. And Ying Zetian thus went into the shop and choose a matching set of deep blue sapphire rings with the blue so deep that it was almost violet for herself and Tang Wudi. Ying Zetian had run into the shop suddenly as she had just remembered the existence of the rings. Ying Zetian did not even notice that she had sigh in relief when she saw that the rings were still in the shop. Ying Zetian face turn red as she knew fully well why she choose this set of rings for herself and Tang Wudi. The deep sapphire color that was almost violet reminded Ying Zetian of Tang Wudi change to violet in eye color when he become a ravaging beast that was bend on eating her.
