Chapter seventy-eight

Ying Zetian was thinking if not for the fact that the men who guard the borders of Tai Ping will changed irregularly. This irregularity is due to the fact that sometimes the commanders will be sent to clean up any mess like gangs of robbers in surrounding states or cities. And then the commander sometimes will absorb these people into the army.

And this is the way in which Ying Zetian put her people into the army and learned the ways of the Tai Ping army. Although Ying Zetian was relatively confident of her plan A to take over Tai Ping peacefully for her but not for her enemies, she was not a person who put all eggs in one basket. And so, Ying Zetian developed many other plans as backups just in case the previous plan for taking over Tai Ping could not work.

But luckily for Ying Zetian, it looks like her plan A could just work as she sat at the banquet celebrating her triumph at Changping wiping out the two hundred thousand strong Qitan army. Ying Zetian sends a glare at Tang Wudi who was sat at his zhen prince seat and looking sadly at her. Tang Wudi obediently stopped acting and patiently wait at his seat for the greatest act of both his and Ying Zetian life to open.

Ying Zetian counted "three, two, one" and watched as the whole banquet hall of people fall to the floor, totally weak and unable to move. Although Ying Zetian like to kill her enemies instead of wasting time with them, but when the opportunity presented themselves, she will choose to torture them before killing them. So, Ying Zetian had her people put medicine that will unable her enemies not to move but they will still be able to talk and react to their surroundings and the medicine effect will last for the whole day. Ying Zetian walks towards the small stage where the royal family was sitting while her people was swarming into the banquet hall to control the people who had not eaten the food and thus had not eaten the medicine.

Ying Zetian stands at the small stage and spoke with an amplified voice using her inner strength.

"Tonight, is a good night for me and the Ying family. Now it is time for the enemies of the Ying family to paid for their sins. All of the enemies of the Ying family are here tonight or at least the head of the families is also here tonight. I will not go into all that bull and talk about having a glorious mentality on why I launched this coup. I will rise to the throne of Tai Ping and kill all of my enemies tonight. Do not think that you are so indispensable to the empire, I can launch this coup and I will be able to find people to replace your spot. And I believe that in the whole of Tai Ping, there are just many capable people waiting to fill the empty spots that came from the washing tonight. And those who block or disobey me will just have one ending to them and their families tonight. Death!"
